RETIRED: Target chit chat

I have the same thing. Mine started yesterday with scratchy throat. I took Benadryl every 4 hours starting yesterday at 11 AM. I slept off and on last night. Kept waking up with stuffy nose.

I can't take Claritin. It makes me drowsy and just feel bad in general. I know it is suppose to be non-drowsy but not me.

Uh oh. Snuffly snot nose and itchy throat. Is it a cold or allergies? I haven't had any allergy problems in quite a long time. When daughter wakes up I will take some Claritin. I'm pretty sure she has some. I don't have any in the drug box. Can't take Benedryl or anything like that -- unless I want to sleep for hours and hours.

I know this is really gross but haveyou tried a neti pot ? Or a squeeze bottle with salt water solution ? I'll go hunt yo down a video. BRB

you can also do this using a squeeze bottle with a narrow tip ,or a squeeze bulb ,like a suction bulb for ba bes.

I use 1/4 tsp salt 8 oz of water.

What's the best coffee that isn't strong..? I want the mildest flavored ones out there. I found a Keurig mini B30 at my Kohl's today for $32.xx after coupons, and now I need to know what coffees to buy.

I did buy a box of the Gloria Jean's Butter Toffee K-cups at Target, it was on clearance for $8.45. Anyone have any suggestions? I missed the talk before because, well, I didn't have a machine then. I don't like a really strong cup of coffee.. prefer it mild and some kinda flavoring.

take some vitaminc/zinc if you have any at home. it cuts down on allergies too cos both of those boost the immune system and fight inflammation.

The box of K-cups has a strength chart on them, it shows whether the coffee is light, medium or bold. You'd probably want the light or even some of the medium ones. In my opinion, these 3 are very light and not bitter tasting:

Tully's Kona
Green Mountain Nantucket Blend
Coffee People Donut Shop (the lightest, too light for me to enjoy)

You should buy a combo pack if you can find one, that way you get to try out several types. Even though you prefer mild, it's quite possible a stronger flavor of a certain brand will taste good to you.

Does this model have the large mug size. That is what I uses on mine for not too strong a cup. I don't like the flavored ones though.

DPCI of the red KitchenAid mixer is 072 04 0225 it's a Pro 400 series mixer. I already have a KitchenAid mixer or I would have snagged one of those in a nanosecond.

p.s. on a separate but related note, for all of you feeling overwhelmed by bills, one by one call each utility, each credit card, each loan provider/creditor and negotiate, negotiate, negotiate. you'll be surprised how much you can save that way. everyone's under pressure and companies are feeling that, so they're agreeing to give discounts, change payments etc to keep customers/keep getting money. no harm in trying!

We get a shut off notice!! Here's why...we agreed to pay $100.00 for six months. We broke the contract when we paid ahead!! So we had to scramble to come up with the extra $100.00

Hey peoples, no one in particular but everyone in general....

I understand on the sleeping in your arms only baby..DD was like that...And no amount of letting her cry it out worked...But what worked out ( and I accidently found this out) was her sleeping on her tummy..I know, I know peds don't recommend it now but hey ask your grandmother and I am sure she will say you slept on your belly...

this works pretty good for Mavis too... and helps cut down on the gas. I've been a little leery of doing it at night with her congestion starting up again, but I do let her sleep like that during the day when I can see/hear/check on her. All my kids have been belly sleepers.

Just don't make the mistake of mentioning it to the ped! I had a doc once that gave me such a lecture I thought for sure I'd have CPS on my doorstep by the time I got home!! (we found a different ped...)

I had a great shop at T and am now the owner of 2 new (and nice) towels!!!

I also found a fantabulous jedi who invited me back tomorrow when he works 10-2 (we were chatting about a local event he's helping promote and he's going to bring a flyer for me...) Yeah... I knew it was great when he says to the coupons "I wish you'd just go through - you know I'm going to push you through anyways..." And then to me, "I just put them all through. I don't care if it says 'item not here' or what..."

Yeah, so guess where I will be tomorrow morning around 10ish??? (God willing, of course)

The bum thing is that I was going to (gasp) get 2 cake mix boxes while there, but totally forgot them. Guess I'm making a cake by scratch after all. GRR.

I did not tempt fate and take the little kiddoes to Kroger. Figured baby would need to nurse and toddler was probably at her max tolerance for shopping.
