I have the same thing. Mine started yesterday with scratchy throat. I took Benadryl every 4 hours starting yesterday at 11 AM. I slept off and on last night. Kept waking up with stuffy nose.

I can't take Claritin. It makes me drowsy and just feel bad in general. I know it is suppose to be non-drowsy but not me. Frown
Allergy season has hit with a vegenance here ,
I know this is really gross but have you tried a neti pot ? Or a squeeze bottle with salt water solution ? I'll go hunt yo down a video. BRB

This works wonders and I have chronic sinus problems..not so much anymore

you can also do this using a squeeze bottle with a narrow tip ,or a squeeze bulb ,like a suction bulb for ba bes.

I use 1/4 tsp salt 8 oz of water.

Uh oh. Snuffly snot nose and itchy throat. Is it a cold or allergies? I haven't had any allergy problems in quite a long time. When daughter wakes up I will take some Claritin. I'm pretty sure she has some. I don't have any in the drug box. Can't take Benedryl or anything like that -- unless I want to sleep for hours and hours.
Hadn't read this far back look above for reply to HDDTV

take some vitaminc/zinc if you have any at home. it cuts down on allergies too cos both of those boost the immune system and fight inflammation.

Okay. I need Keurig info.

What's the best coffee that isn't strong..? I want the mildest flavored ones out there. I found a Keurig mini B30 at my Kohl's today for $32.xx after coupons, and now I need to know what coffees to buy. laugh out loud

I did buy a box of the Gloria Jean's Butter Toffee K-cups at Target, it was on clearance for $8.45. Anyone have any suggestions? I missed the talk before because, well, I didn't have a machine then. Blush3 I don't like a really strong cup of coffee.. prefer it mild and some kinda flavoring.
Does this model have the large mug size. That is what I uses on mine for not too strong a cup. I don't like the flavored ones though.

The box of K-cups has a strength chart on them, it shows whether the coffee is light, medium or bold. You'd probably want the light or even some of the medium ones. In my opinion, these 3 are very light and not bitter tasting:

Tully's Kona
Green Mountain Nantucket Blend
Coffee People Donut Shop (the lightest, too light for me to enjoy)

You should buy a combo pack if you can find one, that way you get to try out several types. Even though you prefer mild, it's quite possible a stronger flavor of a certain brand will taste good to you.

HTH, Enjoy your machine!

I have about 5 pages to catch up on, but was so excited, I had to share with Jamie.

The new "Red" magazine in the break room, the TQ on the back is 40% off ANY Dyson Vacuum! You can use it with TM discount for 50% off. And another 5% if you wait until after Oct. 17th and use your Red Card.

Coupon does state for Team Member Use Only.

Something's wrong with me, I didn't want a Dyson, but now I do, just because I can save so much on it. laugh out loud I think I need professional help!

Thanks. I already started with the Sambucol -- it's one of the homeopathic with zinc and some other crap cures that was a Walgreens freebie. I also caved in and took an Alka Seltzer Cold -- my husband swears by them. So, if I start typing half sentences with weird spellings that make no sense.... just smile and nod. It will eventually wear off. Big Grin

I usually just use a nasal spray and aspirin. Most cold/flu crap makes me feel worse than being sick. Nasal spray keeps my head open and I feel human. I just got 10 new bottles from Walgreens last week. Never tried this kind but I have a feeling I will be testing it.

In the meantime, I crawled under the bed and dragged out a box of Kleenex so I don't make my nose sore with toilet paper. It's not Puffs with Lotion but they were free or nearly free, can't remember, it's been a while.

You'll just have to fly to DFW or ATL and go shopping with one of us before Nov. 1. Either that, or quickly make friends with your fav. jedi. I'm not sure how well they are gong to enforce the "Team Member Only" thing.

I was thinking about it, and I think my TL was wrong. Since the TM Discount takes off after TQs, I think it would be 40% off total price, then 10% off that. At least, that's my feeling on it.

Thanks for the info, Cate! HDD, I'm not sure.. I'm downloading the manual right now to read through. I think it said to use a 10 oz mug for this, because it dispenses 8 oz of drink. This is the mini, so I don't think it has an option for larger or smaller amounts dispensed..

Glad to hear your symtoms passed, I'd still have that checked out .

Have you ever heard of a swaddler, ?
Thanks... I plan to mention it to my doc at my next appt. I think it was just a headache though, since it hasn't reappeared and I *was* stressing a bit. (and staring at a very bright puter screen in a very dark room)

I do have a swaddler around here somewhere - it's the "around here somewhere" part that's the problem... *laugh* I do well with the blanket though. I always call it her cocoon - she looks like a caterpiller all bundled up with her head sticking out.

Why oh why can't they sell the soy nut Snickers in stores at Halloween?

DPCI of the red KitchenAid mixer is 072 04 0225 it's a Pro 400 series mixer. I already have a KitchenAid mixer or I would have snagged one of those in a nanosecond.
hug Sorry about the snickers. I think I'd Faint if I developed a pb allergy. Just thinking about it makes me Cold

Thanks for dpci of the mixer - I somehow missed this last time I read/skimmed. What's the price? Can someone hide one at my store so I can get one when we have money again?? *laugh* My beloved pro-kitchenaid died a few months back and we've not taken it to be looked at/fixed yet. *sob* I soooooo miss my mixer.

Ank..I usually don't post a lot of personal information about myself. I did want to say that I can relate to the financial woes.
Well, I chatted with DH last night and he was like, "WHY are you worrying about that???" and he eased my worries a lot. I had forgotten we still had money in the FSA (I think that's what it's called) account, so that should take care of some of the bills - and the rest will just kind of wait until tax return time/get done as the $$ comes in.

I had the same thought about the library. We used to have a program in Ohio for the holidays (easter, thanksgiving, christmas) where they would forgive a fine for each perishable good that you brought in.

I hate to admit it, but my fine is up to $30 now. I had gone about a week before Mavis was born to get books for the girls and stupidly took out a huge stack. Then came home, had the baby, and promptly forgot about them having to be back. I feel like a huge dufus. I'm hoping to maybe see if they'll forgive a part of them on the account of having the baby, or make some kind of deal for me. I could even offer to volunteer or have dd volunteer.

Quote from chela62678 :
Not that you all noticed not one here so much. Were is Ank? Does your T still accept expired's? I have some of those buy pampers get wipes free ones. Let me know I can snail you some
Yes, they do! Thanks! I'll pm ya.

p.s. on a separate but related note, for all of you feeling overwhelmed by bills, one by one call each utility, each credit card, each loan provider/creditor and negotiate, negotiate, negotiate. you'll be surprised how much you can save that way. everyone's under pressure and companies are feeling that, so they're agreeing to give discounts, change payments etc to keep customers/keep getting money. no harm in trying!
That's my plan - going to sit down and call all the medical places and see if they will wait and/or make a deal.

I hope you feel better soon! hug

hug I understand on the sleeping in your arms only baby..DD was like that...And no amount of letting her cry it out worked...But what worked out ( and I accidently found this out) was her sleeping on her tummy..I know, I know peds don't recommend it now but hey ask your grandmother and I am sure she will say you slept on your belly...

this works pretty good for Mavis too... and helps cut down on the gas. I've been a little leery of doing it at night with her congestion starting up again, but I do let her sleep like that during the day when I can see/hear/check on her. All my kids have been belly sleepers.

Just don't make the mistake of mentioning it to the ped! I had a doc once that gave me such a lecture I thought for sure I'd have CPS on my doorstep by the time I got home!! (we found a different ped...)

And... for the good news...

Whee woot

I had a great shop at T and am now the owner of 2 new (and nice) towels!!!

I also found a fantabulous jedi who invited me back tomorrow when he works 10-2 (we were chatting about a local event he's helping promote and he's going to bring a flyer for me...) Big Grin Yeah... I knew it was great when he says to the coupons "I wish you'd just go through - you know I'm going to push you through anyways..." And then to me, "I just put them all through. I don't care if it says 'item not here' or what..."

Yeah, so guess where I will be tomorrow morning around 10ish??? (God willing, of course)

The bum thing is that I was going to (gasp) get 2 cake mix boxes while there, but totally forgot them. Guess I'm making a cake by scratch after all. GRR.

I did not tempt fate and take the little kiddoes to Kroger. Figured baby would need to nurse and toddler was probably at her max tolerance for shopping.

First, yay on the great run..And wow your jedi told you his time..Make sure you are able to do more runs when he is working...

And I did mention it to my ped abt DD....He was actually cool abt it and told me to be very careful if I put DD on her belly..Make sure I can watch her and stuff...But it all worked out great and it is just a matter of time before she starts rolling and then you wouldn't have to worry abt her sleeping on her belly...And we always co-slept...
