You could make applesauce - all you need to do is peel them, slice or chunk, add just enough water to cover the bottom of the pan and then cook on med-low until the consistency you prefer. You can add some cinnamon if you want.

I also like to take a melon baller and scoop out the core/seeds. Microwave until soft, eat with a spoon. You could add some raisins, cinnamon, a little butter (any low-fat/diet version), and even a sprinkle of splenda for a super sweet treat.

Apples sliced on salad is nice. Apples with cheddar cheese and/or turkey slices are lovely. Apples dipped in natural peanut butter if you don't have nut allergies... yum. Roasted over a fire is kind of nifty.

I like apples...

Grr... gonna make me go to the library and print some TQ's, eh?? Guess I need to go "buy" some apples and avocados!!!

Honeycrisp apples are the BEST! -yummy!!! Just like they are named, they are super crisp and really sweet. drool If you have never tried one, you are missing out (said w/o arrogance) Wink

I think they are only available for a limited time in the fall - my stores are just starting to carry them. They are more expensive than the "regular" apples so not a slick deal but a yummy one!

They are like CRACK! Yummmm, I crave them all year, then OD on them! My parents had a honeycrisp tree back in ND, it was finally getting big enough to share!

I took my son to an orchard on Sunday - couldn't believe how much it cost ($17 for one bag of apples!!!) but we made our first effort at apple pie last night. The recipe was super easy, but I used Idared apples and they were a little tart - in hindsight, I could have added more sugar! The positive thing was that the apples were so big it only took four to overfill a deep-dish pie!

Those Honeycrisp apples are very yummy. I had one for the first time last year and they were awesome. I can't wait to get more of them.

I like Pink Lady apples too. I am not sure what kind she will be getting today but I can't wait! Don't you all just love fresh warm apple cider too?drool

Especially when lunch is around the corner. No clue what to feed monkey-girl. I thought I had enough bread for a sammich - but apparently I don't!

Peanut butter and pillsbury sammiches?? I do have biscuits... lol.
