I have this same issue, honestly sometimes I cave and give in, I try to remeber to grab something healthy like a peice of fruit, last night I was bad and ate some pork rinds, but was pleasently surprised that they had very litle fat no carbs and calories Huh

went to target tried to buy stuff my card was declined because there is a hold on my paycheck, and left with nothing and felt very embarressed Crying2

try zenni.com u can order relativley cheap glasses there and use your old rx, theres no dr verification required. (It may be zunni.com Im tired and cant remember if ts spelt with a "e" or "u" Scratchchin )

It is zenni.com. I've ordered glasses for my daughters from them several times now. We've been fairly happy with all of the orders.

That is really ridiculous! I'm sorry they are such a pita. If it were me, I would be changing to a credit union. I've yet to see one that has such hold policies.

eta ank, I'm sorry you didn't get better news today but I'm with you. for all the sorrows I sometimes feel I have, I know there are others that are worse off and it reminds me to be thankful for what I have. And thankful for more towels today.

I've been gone all day- looks like I missed some interesting drama (totally dying to know the whole story because I'm nosy like that). Had a lovely day with my mom. We didn't kill each other, which I thought was rather nice and unexpected, lol.

Got 3 rugs at 2 different T's, which was nice. But 1st store, he K1'ed and I swiped my card and was halfway through my signature and THEN he went back and adjusted the Q down- NOT happy about that. Granted, it was only about $1, but still...I don't think he should change prices as I'm signing.

Andddd, I've lost 2 pounds! Whee

Just got done watching Lady Jane on netflix - it was actually pretty decent.

Thank you to everyone for the well wishes and prayers. While I certainly hope she grows out of it or at least does not require surgery, I am not fairly confident that (normal surgical risks aside) all things will work out great. The doctor was adamant that it is an uncomplicated procedure as far as surgeries go - "it's just plumbing", he said. Smilie

Of course, if we could avoid any disconnecting and reconnecting of said plumbing, I'd be much happier! So definitely, keep prayers for that going!

Can you do contacts? Maybe you could do distance contacts and get some readers until you get bifocals made, or do contacts where one eye is the RX for close up and one is the RX for far away. (man, my brain is not working - I can't think of the right terminology)

I love the mini bagels too - but right now I'm trying to *not* spend any oop $$ til the end of the week when DH gets paid, so that's why I tried the bagels - figuring they would auto down. DD's cashier pushed the q through - I'm guessing she didn't read 'em. (though, dd said the cashier almost had a fit saying she should give her coupons first... Big Grin I trained DD well enough in that aspect.)

I think the fact that it doesn't specify a size was why it was pushed through by this particular cashier. I didn't have many options. Frown

But I was so behind I read this whole thread today. K-cups, K-cups, K-cups! At T tonight I found K-cups! With AS-IS stickers for 75% off, 2.46! 7of them. I bought them all! LMAO Now I think I need to go to Kohl's to look for this mini. No way am I paying more than $50. Did you use a $5 and a $10? I'm in a non $10 state, so I only have $5 ones. But Ima be searching our 3 stores tomorrow!

So I had all the multi quotes going on, but have decided to leave it alone, the shear volume of reps I received just proved my point that I was not the only one feeling the same way ( and no reps were not expected, I could care less about them) but thank you for them just the same though.

The last thing I will say on this matter is that I did not stoup to her level! Bullying be it by a child or adult is not acceptable, and how can one try to stop it if no one ever says anything to the bully.

That's the end of that..

Won't be heading down to Wa. for a bit now, we have Thanksgiving on Oct.11th and then my granddaughter is putting on a performance on Oct.12th (she sings) so maybe sometime after that if I'm lucky.

i was required to have this bank so they can put my checks into my account, next month I will finally be on payrole, so hopefully they will no longer put my check on hold.
