hug to all of the moms (aunts, friends..) missing their little ones. We lost our first at 14 weeks. A few weeks later, my bff lost her daughter at 22 weeks. My heart goes out to you all.

I had a woot experience tonight with the zero-two vitamnwater q's (see the bay for examples). Did the smrtwter/vitamnwatr deal (b10 vw, get sw free). Smrtwatr was rung last in my order and register took off the full price for the deal. Gave my zero-two vitamnwatr q's first in my stack with no beeeeps then gave the rest of my q's. My totl was low and I was Confused. Checked later and the zero-two q's took off the full $$ of the smrtwtr!!!

Also, a head's up. I bought vitamnwatr q's on the bay, and noticed q's that say they are fifty cents off 1. But they are coded twenty-four, which is fifty cents off 2. Frown

hug to all who have lost babies!! I cannot imagine.

Setsail - very nice bed you made for your ds! I never thought to mention 'Knock-Off Wood' as opposed to 'Ana White' - duh!

I need to personally thank whomever it was in here that was having the car odor problems not too long ago...my dd puked all over herself and her car seat in the car tonight. I can do poop. I can do most other nastiness. I don't do vomit. Anyway, the car seat harness straps were putrid and I could not get the smell out. Laid them out on the kitchen counter and let baking soda sit on them for awhile and then washed it off and they finally did not stink. So thank you to whomever posted that about the baking soda and the odors; I probably would not have thought about it otherwise!

I think it was ank that posted about the odor remover? I hope your dd is feeling better in the morning. hug

And thanks. Smilie We thought about getting the Ikea version of the bed but x times, $400 for cheapy beds that we weren't sure would last very long... so we built them. It was $200 for supplies to make both beds but over 25% was paint cost for the off-white semi-gloss and the chalkboard paint that we used on the ends. That chalkboard paint is pricey!

I found a headboard that my dad is going to help me build once we move. I suckkk at this stuff, but it's not often I find projects that are interesting to me and my dad. Plus I think he's determined to teach me to be handy (apparently nailing things with the end of your heels isn't the best way to do things)

As always, hug to all of you who are remembering the ones you lost.

I find wrenches and screwdrivers to be effective hammers. laugh out loud Shoes are reserved for killing spiders on the wall and ceiling. I admit, dh did most of the work on the beds. The rest of us helped with the nailing/ installing screws, I did most of the painting, and we all carried the pieces from the garage to the upstairs.

I can't kill spiders with my shoes. That's what the huge stash of air fresheners I have are for. Spray 'em till they don't move!

Does anyone here shop Victoria's Secret and will use a $15 certificate by the 17th (I think that's when it expires). I just can't justify buying there when I'm not sure if anything will fit correctly and then having to pay to send it back. Blah.

I know there is probably a thread somewhere, but where is the houseparty site at? TIA!

I use a 50/50 mix of Jiffy Corn bread mix and yellow cake mix for some awesome corn bread muffins. They taste like Boston Market's.

snip
what a great idea about the Boston Market corn bread! do you continue to follow the directions for Jiffy for the milk and egg?? need full recipe. The nearest Boston Market is at least 3 hours from here so I only get it when we are headed south for Gator games Annoyed

Evil I shop WaaaaaaaaY too much there. I'm sure it's already gone, but let me know if you still have it. I have DH's (yeah, I don't know why either) birthday certificate to spend this month and I can combine Qs there...

So kind of random but have to ask:

MY DH's bff is this girl that he grew up with. They have remained very close and I am good friends with her now. Anyways, her and her DH have been trying to get pregnant for about 5 years. Last year they finally found out that her DH is sterile. After undergoing many painful procedures to try and "jumpstart" him, they decided to go with a donor. She is finally pregnant and just last night confessed that she had really wanted DH to be the donor OMG but of course he is not. She then wanted to know if he would consider it in the future. I think hell no and it's completely out of the question. Any thoughts on this?

oh gosh. My first thought is hell no as well! I could never not see the child as DH's in that situation and watching that child grow up having your DH's features and mannerisms. How did HER DH feel about that? It seems like that would have been awkward for him and a donor a much better option. Yikers. hug
