understandable on no excitement - it's just not as "pretty-looking" as swagbucks, and i think that makes it a little less appealing/more cumbersome.

ink... what kind of ink do you use? is it hp? if so, hon you should really start doing the staples deal. the ink would be free after rewards. you really should start doing the staples deals anyways, and then sell/trade the ink for the ink you need if it comes to that.

mypoints... now there's a site i've never managed to get excited about. i'm a member but someone needs to explain to me how to build points there. is there a mypoints thread on SD? ahhh, the ignorance. Big Grin

alright well, i need to take my aching back to bed. got to be up in 2 hours. night all. Sadbye

morning. I've been up for hours. Already at work.

I got told yesterday by my boss that I'm changing positions at work after 9+ years.
I figure one way to deal with a job that you don't know if you like or not was to get it over with. So I was here by 630 this morning.

I feel like I'm learning a new language. Someone sent me a small paragraph last week. It contained 20+ acronyms, of which I knew what 3 were. I'm blessed to have a good paying job, but I'm really pissed that they took my 22 years of computer software testing and literally threw it out the door. I'm now in an Army physical training position.

You folks know that I'm a talkative, warm-hearted person that lives alone (and moved here to care for an ailing Dad, who died the day before I turned 40). I have no friends here in Huntsville. I've had 2 people over to my house in 10+ years and have been invited to 2 people's homes in 10 years. I used my guys at work to BE my family. New job - no one works here in Huntsville that works for me, so I'm still alone and my family has been moved out from under me.

HDD - skimmed deals and saw your olay issues. I was wondering what your q's rang up as and what your tax rate is - if you don't mind sharing. I've been trying to figure out these funky issues!
Coupons rang up $1.50 for both. The GSTL could not get the third one to take at all. Can't remember all the messages she got. Should have taken note. I tried to add a gift card to get the total up but should have found something else. I had a bunch of these and wanted to be sure the coupons would work before cashier did them all. Just tried 3 and this is what happened.

GSTL took me to GS and adjusted the third ones to price after coupon. Very nice GSTL. Smilie

Tax rate is 8.25% and is after coupons.

I will try tonight if they have any left just to see if adding to the order will make the coupons go through. Not going to buy because the GC deal is over. Well, scratch that idea. Can't test because there is no GC deal now.

Not trying to be a jerk, but wouldn't the MFQs simply go thru as usual since there's no longer a GC deal associated w/the items to make the MFQs act all screwy? Dontknow I guess what I'm asking is what would that actually prove/establish? We already know that they *should* go thru as usual when there is no GC deal in progress...

Sorry things didn't work as planned for you last week. Comfort

Are there any "tricks" to earning more quickly on mypoints? I rarely shop online, so don't earn much there. I click through all the emails, and print my coupons from there, and that's how I earn my points. If there's a way to rack up more points, I'd love to know!!

Busy, busy weekend! I ended up completely losing my voice for the wedding, so another girl had to fill in. Nothing like watching your hubby sing songs about love with another lady! Big Grin But I know her really well, and it was no big deal.

Eva now has a cold, and we are again on pins and needles, watching her, making sure she doesn't start wheezing. She's still not two yet, so there's really no cold medicines she can take, right?

Now I have to figure out how to make hubby's b-day tomorrow special, with little to no money!! We get to go out on Saturday while my sisters take the little ones to see Toy Story on Ice, so tomorrow is just the recognition of his birthday, and maybe a little cake and ice cream. Hmmm...

OK, off to catch up on threads, sip my coffee, and hopefully get some housework done!! In that order... Big Grin

Did anyone see the post in deals about the Fuze gift card TQ?? Did anyone on here get that insert? Wondering how "regional" it is. I haven't gotten yesterday's inserts yet, so not sure if we got it or not. Would so LOVE to get Qs for free/cheap drinks for hubby.

It probably is. There is a lot of that going around and babies don't hold it back like we do. Which is probably why they feel better right away! Or at the rate they are harvesting and fertilizing -- I don't wanna go outside either! Enough to make me barf.

Beats me -- but if I am nauseous milk will usually help -- just plain old whole milk.

That's funny. It's just a such really common name, I guess I didn't think anyone would find it unusual. Ya know what I don't get though? What's up with that -- Richard, I get Rich, Richie. Robert, ok, Rob, Robbie. But what's with Dick, Bob, Bill for William and a bunch of others like that.

Hmmm, I need to go there. Last time I looked, I had enough points for $100+ in GC. I don't know how you earn there either. I got nearly all of mine from Bzzz Agent. One way (that I never remember) is to print and use coupons from there. I think it's SS coupons.

Oooo the after part is nice. Most of Iowa is 7% and it's before coupons -- except for Target coupons because they reduce the price of the item. But since most of the Target coupons are food it's no big savings either since we have no tax on food.

GG if you pm me your referral to the new one, I'll join, but only if you break it down for me, otherwise I'm just plain too lazy to try something new. LOL

My closest is 30 miles and the next one is 42 in the opposite direction but that's really not that uncommon when you live in a rural area. I mean, everything is that far away.

Sorry 'bout your crappy day - glad to hear Joel is still getting better!

Santa definitely likes your kids more than he does mine Roll
I hear ya on everything being a drive when you live in a rural area. I live in the middle of a cotton field surrounded by 9 acres of our land. At least our Target is only a 20 minute drive though!

I signed up for SB, but I guess my brain is taxed to the max these days, cuz I need cliff notes Bigeye

Pray It's all over with!!!! I hate when my kids are sick like that! I got horribly sick back in the spring and had to pull the car over to vomit while picking up my kids from school. My kids are still traumatized by that experience. Me too. laugh out loud

Good morning, I am back. Went into town, picked up my papers and did the recycling thing. Not one single good insert. Got a few of the crappy ones. Whoopdedo.

So, the lack of exercise in the diet group inspired me (I posted this there too). On the way home I stopped at the lake to let Heidi play and decided we would walk. So we walked. And walked. I was going to go all the way around the lake but there is a little camp ground on one side and I didn't have her leashed so I didn't want to chance her running where she shouldn't. So, we walked over half way around and then turned around and went back. There are several inclines and declines plus it's not paved so it's harder walking then down the middle of the street like we usually do. Don't know how far we walked, but I do know it was considerable farther than the one mile in town walk.

I have to say, I was pretty pleased with my Hoodlum this morning. I had to make two trips to load the papers at the gas station this morning. I left the van door open between trips, gave her a stay command and she did. This isn't the first time, I have done it but nonetheless... I always leave the van door open while I am trolling the bins and she stays. Although, sometimes she sticks her head out and looks pathetic.

Then, at the lake she was running ahead and back and forth and through the weeds. So, I wondered.... she was about 30' ahead of me, I got her attention and told her to sit and then gave her the stay hand signal. She did. Yep, yep, she stayed till I got to her. Of course, there was that one time that she didn't come immediately when I told her to. In fact, she rather deliberately ran a little more in the wrong direction. Then came.

It's a beautiful day. Car thermometer said 50 at about 11 am. I might mow to chop up some leaves today.
Alrighty, I'm still trying to buy or trade more of the Beneful coupons. Waiting for a PM from somebody in the trade forum who has a bunch. Bid on some on eBay but they are going kind of high.

Do the surveys you get emailed from MyPoints- quick and easy.

I get GCs from them at a slower pace, but it's to places I don't normally get myself GCs to, so I don't mind too much. Definitely don't rack up the GCs as quick as other sites, but free is free.

Hey guys, just posted this request/question over in the Publix thread, but thought you guys might be able to help. Are there any great dog food deals? I see Publix has some I can get for $1.50/bag, but would I be able to find anything cheaper? My parents asked me to help and they're not picky about brand, but since I don't have a dog, I never pay attention to dog food deals. I worked a bag of Beneful into a deal at CVS, but I'd like to stock up for them if I can.

I never find any good deals on dry food. Back when KMart doubled up to $2 I used to get some really cheap but not since then.

Last time I bought Kibbles and Bits 17.5 lb with a $2 coupon at Wal-Mart. The Old Roy kibbles and bits knock off in the 40 lb. bag was still cheaper per pound though. I know you can get some cheaper off brand stuff but I don't buy it -- they like the kibbles and type style.

I'm so sorry. Hopefully this will become a wonderful new family for you eventually. But I realize it has to suck now.
