that's cuz you work from home. if you were on your feet all day you would practically dream of foot rubs!

you need to get your money back b4 she buys anything. cuz afterwards you will never see it again. you need to apply pressure now. say you need the money for moving and to set up at your new place and she needs to pay you back b4 you move. she needs a deadline. never let people owing you money drag out too long. things have a way of being forgotten, people disappear, etc.

Thanks Meesh! Should we set a real spending limit?

Can anyone recommend a first-time bicycle for a toddler?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about a limit.. would be nice to have some kind of ball park idea of everyone's gift size..

I can't recommend anything much.. My inlaws got my DD a radioflyer red tricycle for her second birthday. It is really nice, and they paid way more that I would have. Seat is adjustable and stuff.. She will be 3 in January and still can't figure out how to make it go more than a few feet.

The house talk.. I would love to build a house.. Don't get me wrong, I like my house alot and am very thankful for it. Our first home was a repo and needed alot of work when we moved in. It was about 10 years old and we lived in it for 10 years.. a nice medium size home, but I always wanted a new home. We got in on our current house during the building phase, so we were able to choose a few things, like carpet and cabinets, but because it wasn't a custom built home, we didn't have much flexibility. I love it compared to our last house, and it is very roomy.. But, in hindsight, I wish I had waited. Our yard is very small in the back. I mean tiny. I would love a house on a few acres.. I would have a bigger pantry, like a walk in type.. And a full basement for storing stockpile.LMAO Plus, I would love to have one room devoted to being a classroom for the kids. I hate that they end up doing school on their beds, on the couch, or on my dining room table. But, of course, with the current economy, our home value has decreased so much it is barely worth what we owe on it.
I do really like alot of things in my home though. We had all the bathrooms, dining room, and laundry room tiled before we moved in.. Tile floors are the easiest upkeep of any floor I have ever owned. I just throw a soapy rag down and mop up whatever is there and they look great.. Then last September, we saved up and did hardwood laminate for the living room and halls.. Only carpet I have is in the bedrooms and stairs.. That was the best thing we ever did.

Gonna post in the diet chat thread, but since I always refer to you guys as "target friends".. I wanted to share here.. I was so excited when I weighed this morning, I lost 1.3 pounds, but that pushed me to the 50 pound mark..bouncebounce I looked back on the wii fit and saw my starting weight and the date was June 11th. I am thrilled and hoping to continue to get this weight off. I feel so much better!

Congrats on the weight loss. That is wonderful news. Way to stick it out! hug

I vote for a $20 limit. We all know how far we savvy shoppers can stretch $20 Evil

I totally remember the free thomas train fiasco. I managed to get quite a *few* before that deal went all to heck. How could they not have seen that coming? Coverlaugh

Wave Welcome back M2C - sounds like you had a wonderful weekend! You deserve a wonderful weekend for all the giving you do Wink2
My son also got a complete set of trains that year, plus bubble bath, etc. Big Grin Those were the good ol' days of Target!!

I am SO glad my kids aren't the only ones that struggle with learning how to ride a tricycle! My son is five and can sort of do it, but it takes so much effort, its not really fun for him. My 3 yo daughter has also "sort of" figured it out, but again, its not really fun for her. However, I did find a Radio Flyer scooter yesterday at a thrift store, and I'm gonna try that out with them. If they enjoy riding on it, then I know what they're getting for Christmas. Big Grin

And congrats on the weight loss!! That is so awesome! I have kind of fallen off the wagon after losing that initial 6-7 lbs, and have probably gained it all back. However, hubby and I were talking last night and I think we're going to try something together. Its such a great feeling to lose weight, and I feel so much better about myself.

$20 is fine with me, as well. And yeah, I figured I'd fit as much as I could in, and then reply again, but I don't think that's an option!!

Yahoo!Dance14Dance13RockWhee

you go girl! that's really wonderful!

and i was meaning to post yesterday, what happened to the rest of you guys???Mad

i thought monday was weigh-in day for most people and so far only like 3 of us have weighed in.

if you guys can do wags, you can do this! b/c seriously just reading about rolling RR's back and forth makes me go Insane. and if you are going to target, wags, publix, etc. 4-5x/wk, you can surely do this 4-5x/wk. everybody takes a pass periodically and we are all still losing. it's not a 24/7 thing.

l2b is averaging 10lbs/month so surely w/ little effort you could do 4lbs/ month or a pound a wk. or even 2lbs a month which is about the rate i'm doing b/c i'm focusing on healthier eating habits and purchases.

like l2b said, if you do this, you will feel better! about you, your weight, your clothing, your attitude....you will be a lighter person in more ways than one!

need to Whip some of you guys! get back here and work w/ us!!!

For your younger kids, have you seen the best buy exclusive kid computer? It's really neat. I played with it at the store.

I just looked at the link. I was impressed..That is pretty cool with a kid friendly browser and filter.. A little pricey to me for something for a little one.. but, maybe I am just cheap Wink
We got my DS a laptop for graduation. Shopped around for quite a bit and ended up paying around 400.00.. Was more than I wanted to spend, but promised him a decent laptop for graduation. The other kids want one now too. But, I told them they will wait as well. My DD will be a senior next year, so won't be long for her!
