You are!

Hi all Wave how's all my meanie friends?

I see toy book schnanigans are coming.Whee

works got me all confuzzled trying to stay in the game aint easy Im feeling lost Sadwalk

Any word on the kohls $5 qs? I am missing them terribly Crying
I am not a meanie...I am a freaking angel...oh crap, I forgot we are the meanies...I am well, how are you? worship

Quote from ank220 :
I do a mix of cloth diapers & disposables, and the cloth ones I'm using were borrowed. I like the style, so I'm thinking of making some myself. Well, I was looking up the original manufacturer's website and saw a link titled "Just for Mom". [dependableluxury.com] Whaddo ya think? never thought of non-disposable feminine products before...
OK...staying with the TMI theme...I would not use these..but I have used a cup and honestly it wasn't all that bad. I liked it because I did not have to stop any activities and I mean 'any'.

Quote from kallison423 :
I use a Diva Cup, but I've heard of a lot of women swear by cloth pads (I don't use pads at all). Once you get past the ick factor, it's fine for most. I don't have kids, but certainly a cloth diaper and a cloth pad are sort of the same, in terms of how to store and wash...right?

This [lush.com] is actually a good thread- the folks over at Lush are pretty eco friendly and very open about what works (and doesn't work) for them.
That's what I used as well.

hug Thanks Cathi..

She thinks because her husband is VP of "giant warehouse club" and that they have millions, and I basically have nothing, I have my house and my children and grandchildren and to me that's more important than any materialistic things.. that she is better than me. She drinks too much and is just darn right mean and cruel to her family (and her own kids) but just loves to do things for her friends and her Dog.. oh my what she does for that dog.. brags about her trips.. like she is leaving for Tuscany, Italy to go have some cooking lessons from some famous chef this weekend..

She doesn't work and wouldn't have a clue what to do if something happened to all their money..

She's thin and told me I embarrassed her because I was "fat".

My friends have been telling me for years that you can't chose your family, but you can chose your friends. But I'm very strongly family oriented and I truly did want all of us to be a family.

I lost a father, brother, 2 husbands and then my son in a short time span. But she just isn't family oriented.. she only keeps in contact with my brother.. not even our Mom.

So after writing what I wrote (though I didn't mention alot of other things that I wanted to, like she's a drunken bitch and a mean one at that, and that my father would surely be looking down, not pleased..) cause I didn't want to be that mean..

Sorry for clogging the thread with my rantings.. but I feel everyone here are open minded and not bitchy meanies like they really want to be known as. Smilie Everyone really is so kind and caring.. even though I don't post much, because living in Canada limits my shopping trips.. Frown

hug
This is chat...you are suppose to clog the thread, it's an unwritten rule. Hugs to you. I'm sorry your sister is the way she is. You are far more blessed then she ever will be..you cherish your friends and family.

Ms. Ank....I am so happy to hear about Chunky Monkey!! And as for the oreo's...it's all good..it's for the baby.

Sending thoughts and prayers for your DH and his grandmom.

Oh and I forgot....I am looking for the LeapFrog Tag thingy...please, please, please if anyone comes across a super sale please let me know. I also have a $5.00 manu coupon I can use towards it as well. Thanks!!!!!

I'm very proud of myself.. and just had to share.

My sister has not spoken to me since my son's (not biological) death, nor has she talked to my daughter or granddaughter since then. Have no idea why, and when emailed or sent a message on FB asking why, she didn't reply.

She sent a message to my daughter tonight that was rather nasty and came out of the blue, it's been 20 months now.

So I finally sent her a message telling her exactly what I thought of her, her actions towards me when I needed her the most, about ignoring my daughter and granddaughter when they needed her the most and everything else that has been bottled up in me for the last 20 years (been keeping the peace, so as not to upset the rest of the family).
I finally came to this point after 36 years of mistreatment by a family member, only mine was my mother. It isn't easy to stand up for yourself, especially when you've played the doormat for years but after my brother died I realized I only did it for them (him) and I didn't have to take it anymore. It was/is very liberating and a huge stress relief for myself and my dh, kids, etc. It's easy to keep believing the "yeah, but, it's your mom" or in your case sister but I know that if they were in the same situation, they wouldn't have taken this sh*t. It's hard to let go of the fact that you don't have the mom/sister that you should've had (not even close) but it does get easier when you realize what a relief it is not to be in that anymore. hug

hey you guys, for all of you getting viruses etc, i got this warning in a virus newsletter from my antivirus company:

3 Scams to Watch Out For

Scam #1: Your computer is infected! The biggest criminal enterprise is the rogue antivirus product. It tries to convince you that your computer is infected so you hand over money for "antivirus protection" - which is not actually protection at all. The minute you see a fake alert, stop everything you're doing, kill the browser, and perform a full scan with the legitimate antivirus product of your choice.

Scam #2: Check out this cool link! Your friend's email or Facebook account is hijacked, and you receive a brief message with a short URL to watch a video or check out something equally "cool." The link actually leads to a malicious page with a malware download. Most shortlink services have a feature that lets you preview where the shortlink will go; use it. If you've never heard of the Web site, check the true destination domain against a reputation service, such as Webroot's Brightcloud. And don't be the first one among your friends to click a link.

Scam #3: John Doe wants to be your friend. In this one, the scammers usually duplicate the message format of popular social network sites. Instead of linking to "friend request," it takes you to a malicious page instead. To avoid this one, without clicking anything, move the mouse over the link in your email message, then look at the Status Bar to see exactly where the link leads. If the message claims to come from one company, but the URL points to a domain you've never heard of, don't click the link.

nod I do keep hoping that they will just tell their programmers to delete all the updates that have occurred since July...proceed old school style.

I was able to print 1 of the free rayovac FB Qs. I am not going to try and use it anywhere even though I know its 100% legit....too many stores around here will be skeptical. Happy to RAOK it to someone...PM me.

Hope to hit 2 stores today. DH is off and has volunteered to watch the boys! Whee

I can already tell that holiday overeating is going to really test me this year. We made halloween cupcakes yesterday for DS to take to school this morning and I ate one instead of my normal breakfast of a bialy and egg whites. yummy

It's not even Halloween yet Faint

I had to google. Never heard of a bialy. Polish food Scratchchin

I've been very good this year on the Halloween candy. Not one bag has been opened (I'm not really a sweets girl).

I just wish my county would figure out which night, Saturday or Sunday. Sunday is difficult as it's a church night AND a school night. My hometown never allowed T or T'ing on a Sunday. I sure don't want them BOTH nights.

I have been good with the Halloween candy too. Helped a lot that DH's corporate-owned restaurant bought all my big bags (at full price!) to give out yesterday.

Bialys are delicious! IMO, so much tastier than bagels. MIL is polish and brings a few dozen with her every time she visits and if we run out in the meantime, she sends a care package. I have never found them outside of NY and NJ.

Ok I can only think TMI, lol with all the tampon/pad talk. But for me my mom didnt tell me jack crap about what women go through so it is all very informative for me so I appreciate it.

And on the whole talking to my dd about what luvly things will come when she becomes a teen, I don't even know where to begin or at what age to start explaining things? Yes its sad but true EEK!
Start early... my dd started at 9!! Faint

And just when I start to think about how charming it would be to live like 100 years ago in a "simpler time"... I wonder, what the heck would we do during "that time" without any of todays modern conveniences!!

Quote from Nikayla :
Congrats on going up on the weights. I really miss that, the thing I loved about working out at the gym is there was nothing else to do while there, I am to easily distracted at home. Hope your wrist gets feeling better, see if a personal trainer can tell you if there might be some strenghtening things you can do.

I need to get some produce Qs used up, we are running low again, we only have carrots left.
Unfortunately, I don't know if there's that much that can be done for my wrist. I've broken it 3 or 4 times - and the last one was pretty bad. Frown I think it'll be permanantly problematic. Frown They told me to expect to get arthritis in it. I am NOT looking forward to that.

I suspect we all have emails that say otherwise... I know I do! It'll be interesting to see how they handle it. Seems like they've been trying to just ignore it and hope it goes away so far.

Whatever they do, I hope it's soon and a lot less hassle-rific than the ccv fun they've instituted. *sigh*

kallison... that's definitely not for fat girls, as it's difficult enough for me to just find the string, let alone something else.

TMI, I know...

How to get started with swagbucks? DH needs something to do on computer. He is doing a bunch of surveys of some kind and getting lots of spam email. Driving me cray trying to get all these emails blocked from the domain.

Should I get him to go to swagbucks.com to get started? I think I remember someone on here posting a list of good links to get started.

I'm fat (big time fat, too) and it works fine. Maybe it depends where your weight is distributed?

Laina I just want to say that you are right for what you did. Some people are too selfish and they are the ones that are truly unhappy. You have your family and she has nothing. MONEY is not everything and can NOT buy you happiness. I think people like her are searching for something to make them happy but will never find it. You are the lucky one. You are rich with the love your family has for you and the love you have shared with them, both living and those that have passed on.
Negativity just looks for other negativity. She is really upset that you are strong and have been able to hold on and move on even through all the things you've been through. Jealousy is an evil biotch.
I hope this will open her eyes.

Faint You wonder what's going on behind closed doors at Target corporate?? OMG That must be pretty embarrassing to be called out like that on CNN, of all things. Little local networks are bad enough, I would imagine.

Is anyone going to get their kids' free scary face pancakes at IHOP today? I'm probably gonna take my three little ones after we pick Jaden up from school. I'm hoping its not too crazy.

I also heard where some Chick Fil As are giving free kids meals to any kids in costume tonight. Can't find out whether my store is doing that or not.

Little bits at a time. When she see you buy pads, tampons, whatever and asks what they are you tell her. Give her little bits of info at a time like when you get older girls bleed a little bit but it's normal and no big deal. Let her questions lead. Pretend that you are not embarrassed and it's all just no big deal. Now, I'm not saying invite her into the bathroom to watch you change but don't hide them when you buy them or store them, kwim?

Usually then as they get a little older -- and older might be 8 -- they will ask more. When she wants to know WHY, again, little bits of info -- it's part of how your body takes care of a baby.

Good morning all - had a chance to pop in before we head out for the day. Let's see, we are going to go look at a boat motor, take our son to lunch, go visit a dog, and maybe go to dinner with hubby's dad and some other people.

The dog belonged to a neighbor up where we live. She brought this little puppy home stuck it in a kennel and that's where he lived. No attention, ever, except from me and my daughter and never let out of that freakin kennel. Beautiful Golden Retriever. Long story short, I convinced her to give me the dog since I had a GOOD home lined up for him. He went to a lady on this side of the sttate who was divorcing her husband of 40 years (cheater). She was actually looking for an young but not a pup GR. Let's just say they NEEDED each other. That dog lives like a king now. We got pictures of his 2nd birthday -- complete with lots of toys and treats. So, we want to stop and visit him.

I am not seeing any good deals posted. We will probably head home tomorrow --- soooo, do I need to stop at any Targets?
