My toddler opened the door and let the dog out. Dog got hit by a car. It doesn't look bad - she has a scrape on her leg and chin, isn't moaning or whining, but limps when she walks around. I called every open vet clinic in the city AND the college (which is MORE expensive than the clinics) and it will cost $80+ dollars just to walk in the door. X-rays start at $150, and they don't know what else it will cost because it will depend on what x-rays, bloodwork, meds, treatment, blah blah blah is done.

Oh yeah. It has to be paid IN FULL at the time of service.

I only just discovered my oldest DS's pubic hair this summer at the beach when we were changing out of our suits in our make shift towel walled changing room. I wanted to cry, then I wanted to punch my husband for not telling me it had happened already.

you guys busy watching pats vikings game with randy moss on opposite side. Weeping

gooooooooooooooooooo pats.

quickly... ank - look up the SPCA... see if they have a clinic near you. they have discounted rates/free emergency help for families that need assistance.

hormones... in addtn to milk/meat prods, BPA is considered a big culprit. found in all canned food, tupperware and much else. it is seriously toxic and banned in other countries. some companies make canned food without bpa. lots of resources online. look it up. best to reduce exposure for children and women.

Not sure if this is "kosher" for me to say, so mods can remove if deemed necessary. But since tupperware was specifically mentioned, the actual Tupperware brand worldwide has less than 10% of its product line that contains polycarbonate, which contains BPA. None of their childrens' items have polycarbonate. And since new plastics are coming out that perform better than polycarbonate, they are moving away from polycarbonate to the new plastics.

Now, Gladware and Ziploc containers and all that jazz, they most definitely have harmful components when used to reheat repeatedly, as most people are wont to do.

Went to Walmart to get my cheap Hefty trash bags, free Gain, cheap Nivea mens body wash, and my All You mags, and man, its a tossup which store is more clueless about coupons, Target or WalMart!!! If it weren't for those All You mags, I probably wouldn't even bother...

Give me Target over WM any day! Most cashiers at T at least know how to push a Q through or change a price (unless it's a damn GC deal), but WM truly is clueless. I went earlier today and the cashier looked at me like I was insane when I handed her my Qs- "you want to use all of these?". No, dimwit, just handing them to you for the hell of it.

Went back to try and find a paper with P&G in it. 42 papers later, I found 1.

Sorry your little one is sick. I'm praying for not more than twice that (was over 400 EEK! two years ago).

I have an issue handing out candy to someone almost a ft taller than me and obviously shaves, but what can you say to them?

Need to catch up on reading but just got done handing out candy. Was only 1/2 way thru my stock pile but the gunshots from what sounded like a 1/2 block away was all I needed to decide I was done.

Good grief. The kids and their parents walking around barely flinched, like it was no big deal. I've lived in this neighborhood nearly 5 years and I will never get use to the gunshots and helicopters.

But then again the house I am in is in a small but beautiful neighborhood oasis in the hood and the prices for our homes are under 100K when the same homes would go for 300-500 just a few miles away and probably well over a million in larger metropolitan areas on either coast. One of the homes has over 20 rooms and its own original turn of the century Otis Elevator. Several were built by an apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright and one two doors down was featured on "If Walls Could Talk" on HGTV. Just can't decide sometimes if the trade off of cheap historic homes is worth the risk of cross fire.

I had one of those round buckets with rope handles overflowing with treat bags & candy. All gone. I then had a clear tote (with the latch side things) full of dollar spot stuff (75% off of course) and loose candy. It's almost gone.

I still have so much candy I thought about going around at midnight and shoving it into all the mailboxes in my subdivision.

My kids brought home more candy.

Yeah, that is true. I think very few people actually use coupons at Walmart, 'cause they think its so cheap already, so cashiers don't get them very often. I rarely go there, maybe once every 6 weeks or so, and every single time I go, I get the same response. And what kills me is they have no problem holding up an entire line of people just to read the fine print and try to figure why in the world the coupon is beeping. Faint

The walmart thread is in the DS forum. The Hefty coupon is from a Safeway booklet, which may still be displayed in stores. Its a $2/1 Hefty trash bags mfq. There's a green box of Hefty trash bags, a new line of theirs called "Renew", I think? Anyway, they're priced at 2.86, so .86 ac. Gain dish detergent is .97 for the small bottle, so free/MM after the coupon. There are 2-pk Bic razors in the travel/trial size section that are .97, so use the $2/1 any Bic disposable mfq for overage. Unless you get a manager like mine today who insisted that the coupon was only for pkgs with 3 razors or more. erm...huh??? Had them take them off my order. Nivea body wash for men is 3.97, so .97 ac. My RA never has more than 1 or 2 in stock, so figured its better to pay a little at Walmart just to make sure I have them.

I think there's one or two other deals, but can't think of them right now.

We need pics of little ones in costumes!!! Big Grin

My stoopit camera I got for free ac and rebates from Wags last year broke, and I loved that thing. It was awesome, so I went to get something cheapy from RA with the camera deal from last week and I can't get the piece of crap to download or even work right so I'm not sure how to get the pic I took of the kids but I was able to get my DS#4 to dress up as Horse and DD#5 to be Popcorn so we could enter the SD costume contest to try to win a Wii, cause I cant seem to ever get in on the SDs on them. You can see them HERE
