I really think it stinks they have done this they heavily advertise those gc deals they are a draw... and then this situation , with no mention of additional purchase , I wouldn't want to approach it in the other vein , in case they decide to make that policy ...IYKWIM.

Exactly... and yes I got this the other day 4 different reasons they couldn't take my q's ,none of which had anything to do with the q's or their policy , they had yet another change (not a good one) in there registers and I had already accounted for the glitch. sigh ... I did call, they took my q's

Monday, I bought the kitties more Pro Plan. Today, I find a $5 mq for that brand. Petsmart doesn't do missed coupons though.
Firecracker Sesame Chicken has 340 calories (60 from fat), total fat 7g (11%), 0% trans fat. But, the real kicker is the 1040mg (43%) of sodium. YIKES! That seems really high!
Chicken Fajita 300 calories (80 from fat), total fat 8g (13%), 0% trans fat, sodium 780mg (33%)
Steak Fajitas 310 calories (90 from fat), total fat 10g (15%), 0% trans fat, sodium 860mg (36%)
the 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans (jointly produced by Dept of Health and USDA) set a daily sodium limit of 2300 mg. But that is really supposed to be the outer limit, that is, the absolute maximum, and that, too for a completely healthy, active adult.
manufacturers conveniently use that to set percentages.
The American Heart Association, as well as many doctors and researchers now agree that recommendation is way too high and way in excess of what the body needs. The AHA has petitioned the government to lower that limit to 1500 mg for the 2010 dietary guidelines.
Even if that happens, 1500 mg will be the outer limit, that is maximum daily consumption, for an active, healthy adult. The real daily requirement for a healthy active adult is 180 mg!!! but because one would lose other nutrients while sweating, and get depleted in those other electrolytes, the medical advice is to account for sweating in an active adult, the max consumption should be 1500 mg a day.
so, 1040 mg, in one meal, for a child is far, far, far, far too much. it's also far, far, far too much for an adult.
most foods naturally contain sodium already. plus we get tons of sodium in all the chips and snacks and dips and dressings we consume everyday.
