Man... I feel like falling over. Frown I wonder if I ought not just skip the baby shower this afternoon and send the food/gift. I'm exhausted and kind of feeling like I want to cry. *sigh*

I really hate benefits enrollment time. UGH. They are changing several things and it's so annoying to read through it all. On top of it, it's only accessible online through DH's work website - and that's a whole 'nother animal in itself.

Can you tell I'm a wee bit frustrated this morning?? Ugh.

I need a nap.
Hubby's company changed insurance companies this year, which made me super nervous. But its not terrible, I guess. Our monthly payments went down by about $30, BUT our co-pays doubled. Frown Stinks. I am praying like crazy that we do not have to go to the ER this year, because it will now be $100/visit. Considering we were there at least 4x that I can remember between my two girls, that is not a pretty picture.

But I am thankful we have insurance. Despite the ridiculous amount we pay every month, we *still*, in seven years, have not paid more into it than we've gotten out of it.

And can I just Whee bounce Whee bounce a little bit? I had a yard sale this morning, and am SO excited!!!! I made $500!!!! That's a record for me. It also means I have to get shopping because I have 2 more flea markets this month and my inventory was significantly depleted today. I still have enough, but need more variety.

Since I earned way beyond my expectations, I went and got myself a Bissell Pro Heat carpet cleaner. They are giving $15 gift cards this week, plus there's the manufacturer's rebate, so it ended up being a pretty sweet deal. Does anyone have this particular machine? I read the reviews online (after I bought it, of course Big Grin) and it seems like everyone loves it and it gets bad stains out. Just what I need!!

It's on their FB page. Seriously, if you don't get it within the first 10 seconds, you're out of luck.

It was for an ugly lamp anyways

I have it but it's a few years old. I love it, no kids but 2 dogs. Buy the shampoo at Walmart-their brand- as it's a lot cheaper. My folks have an even older one and still works like a champ. When you're sucking up the dirty water turn the heater off so you get more suction.

Ugh. My kiddos were up last night also. DS sounds like an 80 year old chain smoker with his croup, and the baby woke up screaming because she had pooped and has horrible diaper rash. BUT... DH let me sleep until 10:30 this morning. Roll

Oh, I so miss free pizza Friday. In light of the current TGIF deal, I'm instituting free fajita Friday at my house... effective immediately. Whee

Soooo... I had a VERY interesting run this afternoon. *snip*
Oh my goodness, I would have just about peed myself, too! One time back when the toy coupons were going *really* well, I had a cartful of stuff. It was crazy Christmas shopping time, lines were on the carpet, etc., and all these bigwigs were at the store. One of them decided to open up another line himself, and basically pulled me into his line. I almost had a heart attack right there, but he ended up being the greatest jedi of them all! All he cared about was getting customers out the door, and he couldn't have cared less if I had handed him a cat to scan, much less a coupon.

And gt, I have been married 7.5 years. Love him more now than I did back then. nod

Having a lovely quiet evening, waiting for hubby to get home. He had a great time at the retreat and I'm so glad he went. He has let me go off with my sisters or whatever with hardly a complaint, but I honestly cannot remember a time when he went away for a day with his guy friends. He did call me and tell me he got a speeding ticket... ChairbashSlap

ETA: anybody know where those $2 off FiberPlus q's came from??? I eat one FP or FiberOne bar per day most days. Went looking for FiberPlus q's a little while back ago and couldn't find any Sadwalk That deal would be great....my SIL recently had to start buying soy stuff for my BIL so I'd be able to pass that on to them.
They were from the printable thread, but were very short lived. Here was the post about them.

So I start chatting with him about the current coupon problems and about how I've been filling out my surveys and putting on there about how ridiculous it is, blah blah blah. He scanned like a champ, manually put in an extra .50 when my Glade only deducted $2.50, k1d where needed, and when 1 of my b1g1s deducted $5 and the next Q only took off $3.50, he manually entered another $1.50. At the end of my tranny the LOD walks by he mentions that the register is running really slow (which it was) so she stopped for a second and saw the pile of coupons and asked if there were any problems, and he said just a few, but that he had fixed them. So I say... yes, he fixed them all, he was a really GREAT cashier. And at the same time they both say... well he/I should be, he's/I'm the STORE MANAGER! OMG I almost wet my pants right there. I mean, it wasn't a true STFC run, but it was close. I told him that I really appreciated how considerate he was about making sure that everything scanned correctly and that he was a great model for his employees. Then I told DH to push the cart as fast as he could to the parking lot.
LMAO I almost spit out my drink!
All this pizza talk, we were cleaning house and rearranging furniture so I bought pizza. 5off15 for $5 off a $15 or more Papa John's online order. Two $10 pizza, 2 cinnapies and 2 sodas for $22 out the door. Not free but not bad.

I saw those signs last night and now the strict store near me now has the GSTL come over to scan ALL coupons. Mad I can't imagine how that is going to work when there is more than one customer ready to pay and coupons need to be scanned. What a pita.

How long we've been married- 18 years, 6 weeks.

Hey stormy! Good to see you!!

Thanks for that confirmation!!! hug It was a little difficult to let go of that much money at once, and hubby was a bit shell-shocked when I told him on the phone, but we seriously have to do something major. Our carpets are just horrendous. We live in a rental and the quality of the carpet is the pits. It just eats up dirt and stains.

So anyway, can't wait to try it out now!

I had it and really liked it. I never used the heat feature because our water heater is set hotter than that heats. It quit squirting water. I guess that was a pretty common way for them to die.

Then I bought the Hoover. It works well too but I have to say I like the Bissell better and figured when this one died I would go back to the Bissell. Then I ran into one at the used store for ten bucks. Oh, yeah, it came home.

I never use soap either. Just hot water.

Cool!

And I was wondering about the soap vs plain hot water. Thanks for letting me know. With kids and stuff, I'm not that keen on having chemicals all over the carpet...

We found that 1/2 cup of clear Windex and a tablespoon of Dawn (the clear one, naturals or something like that) works better than the commercial soaps, and it's a lot cheaper.
