The sleeping hours were just too short last night. I was on here until 2 am cause I had insomnia.. then watched some TV and to bed at 2:45.. felt certain my toddler would sleep in cause she usually does on Mondays (worn out from the weekend).. well, not today. Up at 7 amEEK! Well, the keurig is fired up and I am drinking some coffee as I type!

I am so bloated feeling this morning.. Being a woman sucks so bad sometimes! I hate bloating, water weight.. uggh. Guess I need to pump in some extra water today.

I am tired, but yet I wish I were out finding some hidden target clearance. My Target literally had nothing left at 75%, so I didn't even check if they went 90. But, I was thinking of driving to a different target today. Something about finding hidden stuff is so much fun!

My oldest DS made one of the TGIF meals last night.. He seemed to really enjoy the steak fajita one. I may need to order more coupons. He ate almost the entire bag by himself..Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Anyone ever burn water? I just did... *laugh* I was going to make some saline drops and I boiled it all away.

Quote from gt6mk31 :
Keep hanging in, that's just the way it is. Are you seeing your efforts pay off? Even a little? Little by little, and even then something will come a long a take all or most of what you have saved. At that point, you instead of crying over an empty bank account, you just have to step back and thank God that you had it in there when you needed it.
Comfort My hubby won't be home til 10 and *that* has me bummed. I can't imagine going all night without him. hug

And you are right. I think I've been very ungrateful lately - and obviously self focused. God has been very good and gracious to us, and he has taken great care of me and my family. We do manage to save up a bit, then get "hit" - but I have been looking at it all wrong. Providence has smiled on us and always provided enough for us to get by - whether it be through savings, through overtime, and through the awesome generosity of the wonderful SDers here.

*sigh* Why is it so easy to do the "poor me" thing?? UGH! Yeah, we've got bills and stuff, but I've been given or been able to trade for coupons, dh has been given the opportunity for overtime this week, and I actually know how to shop frugally and get us by. It may not be "champagne wishes and caviar dreams", but it's enough.

Thanks everyone for listening to me whine and for the encouragement and pointing me to a better and more thankful attitude!

Awww - so sweet. This made me want to cry too!

Never would have thought of shea butter and nut allergy issues. Wow - there is so much to worry about with a nut allergy!!

I wish I knew how to make things stretch farther. I guess the main problem must be income - it's certainly not crazy debt - we only have 1 small student loan to pay off. Well - there are the medical bills now too - but they are a bit more flexible and not our typical expense. *shrug*
Ank, have you ever looked into Dave Ramsey's financial plan and baby steps? If you don't have much debt that is a REALLY great thing! His first step is a $1,000 baby emergency fund and then #3 (after all debt is paid off) I think is a 3-6 mo. income-based emergency fund. Even with just the baby emergency fund in place it takes the edge off of that "what if something happens we're unprepared for" feeling. I really like having it in place - makes me feel a lot less nervous.

Oh that is a really sad story. Frown

Just checking in Mobile while baby cat naps in the car.

Hey tootsie - do you want me to print you some TgIF and throw them in the mail for you? You're not that far from me, you'd probably have them in a day or so. Just shoot me a PM if you do. I wouldn't want one of my meanie friends to miss out on a deal. Evil

I know how hard it is to be grateful at times. Everytime I feel that way, I start thinking of all the things I am grateful for. I am thankful for the TGIF that we got. I am thankful for the elmo machine I received. I am thankful that for today we are not being foreclosed on. I am thankful we might get a tree this year. I am thankful for having acquired the skills to coupon. But there are times, I am sad. Sad that things are this difficult. So I have my moments to. I think it's natural. I am thankful we are all in good health. I always remember 'there but for the grace of God go I". hug

Got back from Houston today just in time to celebrate Tanner's7th birthday party. Rented a whale slide inflatable that was a blast. (and yes, I did slide my big ass down it) Big Grin
I am so glad you posted! I have been searching for you for a couple of days. Was about ready to call you and see if you were OK. And if you were, I was about to do the mom thing and blast you for not checking in! hug
