RETIRED: Target chit chat

Wow GT hadn't looked at the news yet today but just did and that's the top story over here too....just wow. I don't understand people. I would freak out if my kid worked that close.

I used the $10 sleepwear TQ on Sunday. Bought 2 clearanced sleep shirts and pair clearanced pj pants. TQ beeped INF, cashier k1'd and it DID NOT require LOD. HTH

When my daughter went to work last night (11 pm shift) she noticed that there were a couple squad cars with lights flashing at the convenience store -- figured there must have been an accident or traffic stop. The store is across the highway and just a little bit east of the motel where she is a night auditor -- a blockish.

Fast forward to this morning. The guy who brings the newspapers came in and said he went to the convenience store to do his drop there and a cop stopped him and took the papers. Her boss came in at 7. I can't remember if it was him or the newspaper guy that told her that Kum and Go was closed last night -- which was weird. She left work, still cops there, a tent up, and some kind of cop/investigating van.
She told me all this when she came in shortly after 7 this morning. I hadn't gotten up or turned on a tv or looked online yet when my husband called. Some guy (17 and from Minnesota is the rumor) came down and robbed our little convenience store -- then killed the clerk. Then he went on another little (about 30-40 minutes due south on the highway) and robbed the Kum and Go there and shot and killed that clerk. A suspect was captured in a third at about midnight is in custody.

I don't know what time he robbed the local store -- but it's only 64 miles from here to where he was captured. Somehow I doubt he was obeying the speed limit; and, I don't know this for sure, but I don't think it takes long to rob a store and kill a clerk. My daughter goes to work at precisely 10:40. That bastard was way too close to my baby. I hate evil people. (I mostly just dislike the rest)


** for those of you who don't have them -- yes, Kum and Go really truly is the name of a convenience store chain. And every time I hear/say the name it reminds me of my former brother-in-law (deceased) and I crack up. He referred to it as Ejaculate and Evacuate.

Yeah, that kinda stuff doesn't happen around here. We don't even lock our doors most of the time.

If they have the Visa gift card in stock, I would get that one. Store here only had the $25 Visa card so I bought the Amex instead. Couldn't get it to work at any store except Target. The balance showed that it was activated correctly but for some reason the card was being declined at the few other stores dh tried it at. Best Buy, Lowe's.

Does anyone know how much the cheapest Axe deodorant is? I found a $1.50/1 tearpad at KM yesterday to pair with the $1 TQ.

I cant for the life of me find any of the Prevacid mq's My mom uses this stuff everyday and I really want to buy her some for cheap! Do you know if there is an IP out there? If not I will have to order some.

I had a $25 Amex card and used it at a disney store..My total was arnd $27 and the cashier couldn't make it go thru..She called the manager and he said after swiping the card, they need to enter the amount as $25 if the total is higher else it gets declined...So maybe that was the problem when your DH tried it.....

But thanks for the heads up, I will try a smaller card first before converting a huge amount...

TQ $1/2 Ritz Crackers beeped expired for me today. Didn't realized it expired 11/15. I wasn't finished with that one.

Dh tried it at Best Buy. The gift card was $100, total was $90. Still wouldn't go through. They were not accommodating at all at Best Buy.
