hug That sucks! I got to go to two Targets and I am wiped out. It took forever to find the toys and the regular T only had three of the cup games left and no walking kitties at all.

Sometimes the best time to check out during the week is about the time most people are getting off work and stopping by T for a few things. You will hear them over the speaker calling additional cashiers to the front. Sometimes the cart guys or produce guys will check and still be wearing their vests or aprons.

I have and I think Dazzled said it happened to her or maybe it was someone else in TCC. When it happened to me I realized that it was a Target Visa that I had given DH to use and he had taken it out of the package so carefully that it looked unopened and he had put the package back in my purse and written a tiny "ty" on the back of it and I didn't see it until after I got home and was looking at it more carefully. I think it just means it may have already been scanned or something but I about pooped my pants when it said something about "this customer blah blah ..."

Ya know what dumb thing I did? When I got groceries I planned to get a couple tubes of crescent rolls to make those apple dumplings. All the shopping talk is making me miss Christmas shopping. Since we killed Santa a couple years ago (my kids are 20 & 23) I don't have much to do. Something for them and I have no idea what that will be and I have to get my son done in the next week or so. We are traveling across the state earlier than usual this year for our "Christmas" there. (He moved down there last year) Then we have my mom (dad dead), hubby's dad & his wife (his mom is dead) and that's it. It's BORING now.

I've thought about doing the Black Friday thing at WalMart and trying to get one of the $200 32" televisions for him but somehow, that just doesn't sound all that appealing. He is still attempting to enlist in the military so it could end up being something I have to store too. I have a couple small ideas for him, so he might get that and a gift card or cash. I hate that idea though. And his birthday is New Year's Eve, so I have to get that bought and left down there too. That one's easy though, he has gotten the Guinness Book every year for... years and I don't mind doing a gift card or cash for a birthday - so book with cash or gc.

Daughter wants an iPod touch. Still debating that one. Don't really wanna pay $300 for that little dinky damn thing. She would settle for the 3rd generation since it's cheaper but I think that the newest one does quite a bit more. Now, if she wanted the 8bg instead of the 32gb -- it's a little more reasonable. Wish I knew if WM is doing the $50 gc on that one too. I know sometimes they advertise it on one thing but it's good on all. $288 - $50 GC would make it more reasonable.

has anybody found anything really exciting to get up early for on friday? i haven't really seen anything. maybe i'll go to bass and van heusen at midnite just to poke around.

tonite we are going to stay up late to go to a 24hr cvs to get dh the norelco, but now dh says he somehow wants to go earlier to make sure they have it b/c he doesn't want to go if they don't have it Annoyed. damn h's! it's 20 miles round trip so costs 3.00 gas and an hr of time better spent doing something else. if you somehow don't get one at by going to the store b4 midnite and being one of the first to check out then it wasn't meant to be. i held onto a 13.00 ecb for 3 wks just to get the razor and he better go out and get it! if for some reason they don't have it around here, there are 4 cvs' around SIL and he can run around the stores while we cook dinner.

i need to get lots done today. so wishing everyone a very happy turkey day! have fun and don't eat too much!

Good morning! I have had my coffee and hope to head out soon! Today was supposed to be my day to get some sleep to help me make it through the next few days of no sleep, but my DD woke up at 4 am and again at 7 am.. not much sleep for me! I may pass out by Friday laugh out loud

As far as friday goes.. we have lots we want to get, but these darn stores keep opening earlier and earlier.. Can't believe target is starting at 4 amEEK! Usually we hit WM, then target, then TRU, etc.. Guess we may be trying to do alot of price matching at WM.. For me, alot of the stuff I get is clothing related. There are usually pretty good deals on pajamas, sweats, jeans, etc for the kids. May get me the pyrex set from target and I am considering the car DVD player.. But, I think I may buy it today and try to get a PA on friday. I tried to get one last year on BF and they were gone really fast!

Help please. I need an awesome gift for a 7 year old boy. I got his 4 year old sister the Tag System and 6 books, hopefully for $10.

Would it be a bad idea to give the 7 year old boy the same gift but different books? Probably bad idea. Need something different.

I don't think the tag would be a bad gift for a boy at all! Some of the books actually seemed more boy themed to me anyway!
Or, what about a nice big lego set from target (with coupon of course) or one of the nerf guns that have a coupon right now?

In deals, both flugette and I agreed that last year we got the 10.00 GC on black friday based on precoupon price.. but there are a few people who swear the GC comes off when your total gets below the 100.00 mark.. Are we crazy? I am fairly certain I got mine on precoupon price last yearCool

I do remember last year my sils came off when she she hit below $100. I however had a reading rainbow graduate so I did get mine but I was over $100.

since the stores are largely out of the Lego gift cards, I picked up the elf voice changer giftcard for this week's allowance for the kids. Let me tell you, they have been laughing for the past half hour over this thing. It really is an adorable little toy!! Roll
