The weather people were so wrong! Roll
We didn't get hardly any snow but they claim it was still a severe blizzard because we had the winds and it was 18 degrees.
All the local news weather people were falling all over themselves trying to explain that one, they were even calling it the big blizzard of 2010 (before it wasn't) laugh out loud I know the snow is going to be here, probably this weekend, but not yesterday or today.

I was going to PM you but it looks like you already have it. At first I was so sad when I saw the dress up trunks at my T, there were 3 left and they all had huge dents in them, just really ugly. Then I spotted one on the endcap with a rip on the label and it was marked as a repack for $17.48 and the box was in perfect shape bounce I am sure it was returned because the dresses run really small! The box says up to 6X but there is no way, unless you want the 6 yr old to look like she is wearing a tiny half shirt.

We donate a lot, don't get me wrong, but I want to be able to do so in my time and way, not pressured to do so every time I'm in a store. I know Target got some bad publicity when they stopped allowing the bell ringers at the door but I was actually a little glad. Ninja I donate at every one but by the time you get to the 5th store for the day, for example, it becomes a little much imo.

Wave been a busy day! DD got me up at 7 am and I have been running all day!

Went to Publix, Target, and already hit the CVS Thanksgiving saleSmilie

Target was great.. I got to use 2 of the princess coupons. Got the set of dolls and the castle table and chairs set.. what an awesome deal.. especially when thrown in a great transaction with a jedi.. Other than the princess stuff, I got the usual batteries, oral b, TGIF, halls, gum, cheese, and bacon (they haurlhasbeenblockedcked).. Skipped all the way to the car.. My DD is gonna have so many more gifts than the older ones though.. I need to find some deals for them too.

I was at CVS at 10:40 tonight preparing my lists.. Then I saw this lady come in with a BIG coupon box.. I decided I better go in and get started.. Why do people bring the whole box in anyway? wouldn't you just pull out the ones you need and leave the box in the car? ANyway, I went in and grabbed all the stuff I needed. Met a friend from church there and we chatted while she shopped. Checked out right at midnight and came home..Had my older DD making my pie for tomorrow while I was gone.

I am headed to bed soon. Gotta get up early to watch the parade and starting cooking a few things.

i agree. i'm not into pressure tactics and guilt trips. when we were little everyday mum carried milk and bread in the car. when she saw someone homeless, she'd pull over, step out and take em food. every fall, my grandfather ordered hundreds of blankets. he'd then load up the car and drive under bridges and down alleys in the fall and winter giving the homeless blankets. so mum took to doing that, too. donation is in my blood. but exploting that instinct to help in order to make a buck is disgusting. the store should be ashamed of themselves.

p.s. about bell ringers... was walking out of a grocery store yesterday eve, bell ringer woman looks at my cart very pointedly, then at me and rings her bell super loudly. i just kept walking. she says, all those groceries for you but no donation? well, you just have yourself a happy thanksgiving. EEK!
i looked at her and said with a big smile, i prefer donating food, not money. you have yourself a very happy thanksgiving, too.

Okay.. not sure if anyone is still up.. But, several BF items are up on targets web site.. the GPS is one of them..

Who else was looking for the dual screen DVD player? gator maybe? I just bought it online.. It was free shipping and I used a 10% off code, plus my 5% for using my redcard.. I got the DVD player, and 2 copies of the LOTR trilogy (hoping they don't cancel that one and say it is a price mistake).. Total with tax and everything was 93.xx. for all 3 items shipped to my door..

Just tried the garmin.. Looked at the target coupon and used the online code and it is coming up expired.. so, I am thinking the coupon will beep that way too Frown the 10% code UZXPI33P worked along with the 5% for redcard.

I haven't slept yet, so I decided to sneak to the kitchen and get on my laptop! I am so glad I did. I scored 2 copies of LOTR. I had taken a 2nd trip to Target today after work just to buy it and get a price adjustment on Friday, but decided I didn't want to spend the $150 oop tonight on the chance they wouldn't do the price adjustment. So glad I was up for it!

Wave glad I am not the only one shopping.. I did the same thing with the DVD player tonight. had it in my cart and didn't want to pay the 159.xx oop and try to price adjust on BF, so I put it back!

I grabbed 2 of the LOTR sets cause my DH wanted one, and they seemed like such a good deal, I got another *shrug*

Need to get some sleep, tomorrow is my only day off for awhile, and it's going to be a busy one, cooking for everyone. Then, I get to open BF, as cashier, on register #1. Then Sat & Sun will be more fun, since both of those trucks we get in will be big, and corp. wouldn't move our unload time back to 4am for those two days, so we get to stock everything around all the customers.
