Happy Birthday TN!!!!! hug

Quote from gt6mk31 :
No ToysRUs anywhere around. I've been considering the Amazon deal. There is a WalMart where we are going, I might pop in and ask. I am taking an ad in to do a price on a Pizzazz Pizza maker ($20) anyway. I hope they'll do it, it's a Fleet Farm ad and there isn't one in that town. Can't hurt to ask.

He got home around 6 and we did have a nice dinner, thanks. I don't know what the heck went on with the turkey. They are always good -- juicy, tender, but this one literally fell of the bone. It was so dang tender the bones fell apart. No kidding, he had a heck of a time picking it apart.

We did try something a little different this year -- I cooked it breast side down so that the breast was sitting in the juices -- I use an oven bag so you retain all the broth, there was a good 3 - 4 cups from a 13 lb. bird. The breast is always moist, not dry, in the bags, but it was actually juicy this time. I think we will cook them boobies down from now on.

Attention K-CUP peeps: Is this a good deal? 2 - 24 packs for $16.58.
We cooked it Alton Brown style this year and will never cook it another way. It freakin' rocked!!! everyone ate so much turkey, we completely bypassed dessert for the first time EVER Faint

as for the k-cups:
The cheapest I can usually get a box of 18 is 3.xx after a $5 Kohls coupon and a 30% sale. I have to hustle to make that happen by using the kids in one line and me in the other Coverlaugh It's a decent deal especially since the flavors aren't at Kohls but it isn't killer. What's "killer" is that they are trying to charge 9.99 per box of 18 at Target and everywhere else and calling it a sale Annoyed

I haven't bought ANYTHING this Black Friday!! I haven't left my house since Wednesday and I was so busy with family yesterday, I didn't even stalk for my PS3...gotta get on that now...after my second cup of coffee Blowkiss

The only thing I bought ahead of time and tried to Price Adjust was the Garmin 1450LMT.

I bought it online instead. I'll return the other one that I bought AFTER Christmas. I wish all the stores were on the same page, either ALL do it or all Don't do it.

Yesterday was my 48th birthday. The day before that was the 8th anniversary of my Dad's death.

Yesterday also was Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for all of you in this thread, as you are all helpful, friendly and really seem to care about each other. You all have taught me the Target way. I'll never forget mofome, setsail and mama2cole for their pms while I was learning.

Hug2 and Prayers for all of you and your families.

TN - happy belated b-day!!! Sorry you had to spend thanksgiving alone Frown hug

We had a good turkey day.....I didn't do TN's cheesecake because I forgot it had sour cream (never done one w/sour cream before and didn't have any at home) so mine was just a regular white choc. one but for all the trouble it caused me it was the BEST one I have ever done. The texture was perfect, I think because I let the mixer mix it extra because of it having the small lumps. Dunno but it was delish. We were at my aunt's and she cooked the most perfect turkey this year yummy

OK, so I was one of those crazy people in the tents @ T. !

Roll

It is a family tradition with my brother & his wife, my aunt and cousins, and my mom to camp out *somewhere*. They all wanted those $298 TV's...I did not but went along for the ride and got the iPod Touch while I was there and the fuzzy blanket. The fuzzy blanket is AWESOME!! And the deal on the Touch was amazing too: around $210 w/tax and $55 back in GC's woot

So yeah, we were in a tent in the cold all night (and dang this was the coldest I can remember) and were second in line behind a couple guys that were there 20 min. or so before us last night....the first of us got there around 6ish. Lines were WAY long here too.

Our family is definitely Crazy but we love the tradition....though I much prefer Walmart all night like the past couple years....warm and there's bathrooms. I just got done sleeping from about 7:30ish to 1ish.

soooo tired.

Went to TRU at about 4:50 yesterday afternoon to get in line. I was 3rd in line and DH 4th. It was about 30 degrees and we froze our asses off. It was insane by 7 PM. They had about 2 cops and tons of security. The line was all the way around the building. We were lucky and got everything we went for and then some. Then headed to walmart for midnight jammies. Got all of that and some Hot Hands, a Coleman heater, gloves, and hoodie, and left for Home Depot or the LG frontload cherry red washing machine. I was determined not to freeze anymore.

Got there, we were the only ones there. By 2:30 we were still the only ones there so I pulled the car up front and we sat inside with it heating us up. Big Grin We both fell asleep!! lmao Woke up in a panic only to see we were still the only ones there. About 4:15-4:30 a line formed. Got inside and ordered my washer & dryer, grabbed a ladder and a coke and left.

Now, I need a christmas tree. 7-8 ft LED preferred pre-lit, multi colored. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg. Any idea where I can find one? The one at HD was skimpy.

Got home at about 6:30 this morning and crashed.

I just got back from Kohl's and Target. Kohl's lines were ridiculous but I was very impressed with how they handled it and it moved very fast. I got everything I wanted and didn't leave the house till 11.

Target was AWESOME!!! Scored all of the normal stuff that I haven't been able to find in stock normally like Curel, Prevacid, Reach, TGIF Fridays, Olay and then went over to toys and electronics and found the Razor and Philips iPod speaker doc I wanted. Found nice Jedi cashier who said when my first Reach coupon beeped, my manager told me "if they take the time to cut the coupons, take any of them- even if they beep." nod I will definitely be hitting his line again. Wink

Argh... can't believe I missed the printer!! Sadwalk

Well... made it to T for a quick run. I am so clueless w/toy deals, so I came home with no toys. Probably didn't help to have the 2 littlest ones w/me. I did get a jenny jump up thing for the baby, a sonic care toothbrush, 2 oral b toothbrushes, pepcid, maalox, tgif & curel. laugh out loud I wish I had another sonic care q - could've sworn that I had 2!

I hope to get to go to Kohl's tonight. I was hoping DH would say he'd keep our 3 y.o. after he got home from work, but he just went to bed. Frown I am not even going to pretend I can take the 2 little ones shopping some more today. My nerves are on the last line as it is! Too much noise, too many distractions, and too many people trying to kill me or total my car in the parking lot! I guess I'm tired too.

Ah well - there's always another deal or day to shop.

30 degrees would have been spectacular!! Not sure exactly what the low was last night here but it was forecast to be around 15, though I think I recall someone saying it got lower than that --- definitely below 10 degrees with windchills. We had a tent full of people + the hot hands thing in our gloves and shoes + the Coleman heater. I had at least 3 layers on for the most part.....long underwear, then jeans/sweatshirt, then snowpants and coat over top. 2 hats on, gloves + mittens, 3 pairs of socks, tons of blankets and STILL freezing.

The 18 lbs. of lost weigh (insulation) was not helping anything. There's just no sleeping in that - about impossible!

SOunds like great shopping trips ladieswoot

We went to WM before midnight for jammies, slippers, shopvac, movies and a few wii games.. Left and had hours to kill. People were already camped out at target and Best buy before midnight laugh out loud we went and had breakfast and relaxed for an hour and headed to Kohl's.. Big mistake. I swear I think everyone in the state was at Kohls. I have never seen that many people in one building. Lines were 1.5 hour long to checkout, so we dropped our stuff and left. Headed back to walmart so we could price match some target things since we knew we would never find at target.
I price matched the tag reader at WM ( and returned the one at target) and DH got a few things PM from the TRU ad.. We left there and went back to Kohls.. Waited about 40 minutes in line. We each did a 20.00 transaction using the 10/20.00 coupons we got from the paper plus the 5.00 ones from ebay, and paid 5.xx each for our orders.. Crabby cashier told me next time the 10.00 coupons were one per visit and I told her that would be one per person per visit and we were seperate peopleLMAO
Finally made it to target.. Jedi citywoot Did a little coupon run.. I was the only person checking out at 7 am with Charmin, duracell, oral b, halls, crest, and TGIFLMAO

Made it home ready to pass out at 8:30, only to find out that my toddler had just got up for the dayEEK! running on empty about now and hours left to go!

never made it into BBW or to home depot for the front loader washing machine Mad

Hoping to hit Kohls again tomorrow and burn through some coupons.. after getting a good night;s sleep tonight!

Honestly, I love BF.. but this year we really didn't get many deals and laughed later about going to WM and fighting the people to save 1.00 on kids PJs that I could have gotten with overage at target LMAO I got my best deals online wednesday night!

Me too! Big Grin It was nice to find the stock. WTG on finding your jedi.

Oh... I meant to say earlier that I had handed over all my q's and after scanning all the MQ's, the cashier scanned all the TQ's. I had gotten distracted with my 3 y.o. and then looked up as he scanned the last tq and noticed it did nothing. I saw his screen said "not enough items for coupon" or something to that effect. Somehow, he had managed to scan one of the mq's twice - so none of the TQ's scanned. I *hated* to be a PITA, but I said - "Oh, it's prompting something, and I don't think it took any of the Target coupons off." He looks at the screen, starts to grab all the coupons and says: "Well, you saved 70.00 already..." He wasn't going to scan any of the TQ's!! I pleasantly said, "I'm allowed to use an MQ and TQ on each item, and none of these came off. Can we please try again?" I was going to take 'em to CS if he refused, but thankfully he did it without fussing.

Cracked me up about the "you saved $70 already". I'm happy to save anything, true, but if I'm supposed to save more... well!!! I guess I could've said, you know, it'd be like T paying you for 10 days instead of 14 and saying 'Well, you got paid for one full week already...'

Well, dreeme, I am just impressed by your ability to get so much done so quickly. Well, by all ya'll's ability to go go go. I did not stay up all night, did not go out early, only went to 1 store, and I'm utterly exhausted now. You all amaze me.

According to the news reports, folks were outside of best buy around here on Weds morning! Yikes.
