He had a conference call with them this morning to try and sort everything out and it looks like the company isn't able or won't budge on the Naples location or the training pay. So it looks like DH is going to have to turn down the offer
His current company has offered to transfer him to the Tampa location. Thankfully, he never formally gave his notice but they aren't willing to pay for relocation...which is like 2k. Plus, they are asking him to work here in MI until New Year's Eve which would mean that we wouldn't be down there for Xmas. I know that seems like a trivial thing...but all I want to do is cry about it.
End of rant.

let's see, I have done almost everything it seems.. Next year will be 20 years in nursing for me
Many years ago, I worked full time.. After child #2, I worked weekends only for a few years, and then with #3, I went prn. I took 6 months off after #4, and then went back.. Still working prn now.. Usually work about 12 hours a week.. Enough to pay my car payment and a few other things.. Wish I didn't have to work,, but with 1 in college and another one graduating next year, I think that isn't gonna be a reality for awhile
We worked together at assisted living, then together again doing clinical research which she is still doing. The main thing I love about clinical research is that you are always learning something new. Keeps ya on your toes

Sonicare Essence is still 37.99 at my store. Not sure why everyone thought it was going off sale last week. These things are working very well for me, earning me money for Christmas and our trip to NYC this weekend.
Met the nicest, sweetest little ol' lady from CL this morning. She was buying a bunch of tubs of wipes from me. She didn't have any change, so she asked if I had anything else to sell!

Reynolds slow-cooker liners!! These are very near and dear to my heart as they were my very first stockpile item when I got married, we got our own house, and I started using coupons casually a couple years ago
But seriously, I never use the crockpot without one now....very little clean-up to worry about unless the bag leaks or breaks which is rare for me. They run about $2.xx/box and there are $1/1 q's out right now. Haven't seen any spectacular deals but they are very worth the cost IMHO.

that's way run-on as sentences go, but basically i am praying that this turns into a BIG GIFT full of lots of happy wishes come true.
I hear ya on the SS thing.. I have tried so much to get just the right gift.. My person hasn't been around much lately either.. Bought what I thought was a "perfect" gift, then read a post that made me realize it wouldn't work.. I have now decided to just get some nice things that I would like and hopefully they will like some of them too! We need to mail by Friday, right?

getgreen, your post made me remember that last weekend Verizon had an open house, and had a basket of hand warmers as goodies. Stuck 2 in my purse. Just the perfect size to stick under my bra strap! ....
you can also loosen that strap and tape the patches to your skin with some first aid tape. just tape the edges of the warmers, not the warm part.

well, here is an idea: everyone struggling, how about coming up with 5 -7 pointed questions you have for a present (like what kind of scents do you like? floral, spicy, vanilla.... etc) and putting them up on elfster by this evening.
and then all of us SS people who have not yet recd their pkg in the mail (only one person has, to my knowledge), go online ASAP and read and answer!! or check your email account!
