I got my new lappy from wm.com and it had freezing problems It was an Asus N71JQ-X2. Really liked the look and feel of it. I returned to the store last night and ordered another one. Seems the freezing problem with this lappy are pretty common. If the second one has the same problem will probably send it in to Asus for repairs. I liked it that much. Keyboard area has a rubberized feel to it.

This doesn't seem like a good excuse when there are lots of stores with ratings well above 9.
I agree with you. I wasn't implying that I left a negative review, or any review at all for that matter. I just mean that when a very popular thread is actively recruiting people to leave negative reviews, the rating may not be an accurate reflection of the reseller's reputation. Personally, everything that I can purchase at T for my family will be purchased there. nod

I can't wait to be in FL next month where there are lots of STs. I will probably never shop anywhere else...well, maybe Publix Coverlaugh

Teri: I hope you are enjoying every minute of being grandma. How is your DD doing? I heart the name Ellie! If I have a girl, that is what she will be named. We planned on naming a DD that...so cute IMO!

L2BAM/Laina: I too feel like a cheapskate when I read what SS sent you! I didn't have much (anything) to go on...I hope I have the chance to redeem myself next year! Smilie

Applause in the bardering stockpile for work. That's SMART (and not Kmart smart!)

I think it's harder to pick gifts the older the kids are. Oldest niece needed $$ for a ski trip, so she's getting (actually already got) Christmas money from me. 2nd oldest is the one that plays college BB and last year she wanted gift cards at 3 different places because she had lost 35 lbs her freshman year in college and nothing fit. Don't know what she wants this year (I basically told them to figure it out, or she will have nothing from me). Oldest nephew and his wife want a queen size bed (not mattress and boxsprings) but just the bed, but they won't go and look for anything and to me a piece of furniture is a very specific thing and will be there for years, so I don't want to pick out something they would hate. The younger ones are much easier to please IMO.

School's closing early because of snow! Gotta go get my bud and bring him home. Wish I could do some shopping, but I think I'll hold off until hubby gets home...

Mini Thrift's boots came yesterday and they are too cute...now I want a pair!!!

Went to ST last night. Roads were dry when I went in and when I left less than an hour later freezing rain, sleet turning to snow covered them. It was 25 mph all the way home. Cashier was a cute new team member, turns out he was covering another team member's break. Other team member came back they logged out and in and he finished scanning my order then we played slapjack with coupons. Teehee This guy definitely gets jedi o' the year. He wanted me to lay each coupon down and he would scan them on the 'table'. He was so friggin fast I couldn't keep up. He literally did not touch a single coupon until it was time to throw them all in the drawer. It was a wonderful STC run. woot

Congratulations & I hope you feel better and don't have to hobble around too long.

Do you have a space heater? At our last place, everything was kind of open and drafty. We put sheets up between the main room and the rest of the house. We would run the space heater in that room (since it was the one we spent most of the day in), and then in the bedrooms at night. At any rate - it made it nice and toasty in those rooms. The rest of the house was cold (and it looked a little ghetto), but it did okay by us with that. Also, I would bake bread in the mornings and often make dinner first thing to help warm up the place a little.

I have 2 space heaters. The one I run in my room at night works great and heats up the whole upstairs really..at least enough to be bearable. The one downstairs is having a harder time working (I guess since heat rises). I've been running the oven too. Think I'll bake some cookies today to warm it up some.

I wasn't expecting to pay out a thousand bucks at Christmas, but I did know going in to buying the house that the heat and AC were old and needed replacing. i'm just glad I have the home warranty because what is costing a thousand would have cost about 10,000 without it. So I'm considering myself blessed at this point.

You all are talking about wrapping. I haven't wrapped one thing yet, and I don't want to do it, but I have to. ugh.

Actually, I thought about that, but with him working full time (even Saturdays) and going to school 4 nights a week and her expecting, I don't know how much they would have time to get it done (and the SIL would KILL ME if she ended up doing it, as they moved back in with the SIL to pay off some bills. It's not like one more persons gonna make that much difference with 11 now in the house).
