Have a wonderful day, everyone! Headed down to Denver in a little bit to have lunch with DH's Aunt, who has adopted our kids as her grand kids, as she has none. Not missing a white Christmas here at all! Should have gotten a pedi yesterday so I could wear flip-flops like everyone else!
We went to a family Christmas Eve party for the first time last night and had an amazing time. Santa showed up and delivered gifts to the kids at the party (he knew *exactly* what they all wanted

Oh how evil am I?
So at 1 last night DS threw up in bed. Got everything cleaned up, gave him a little sprite and got him settled. Happened again at 2:30. At that point I move he and I to the couch to lay down and send DH back to bed. At 6am he had settled down a little to put him back in bed. I went to sleep at 6:30 and was up at 8 to the sound of him dry heaving in the bathroom. WTF!!!!! Oh, and we went to bed at midnight. He has no fever or any other symptoms. No more vomit since 8 and he's kept down some pedialite and a little lunch and is now napping. Please tell me I won't be up again tonight with puke. Please.

i am also wide awake, and Santa came here too, and Dazzled, I too can't breathe (not sick, just from accident injuries). So see we always have something in common us chatterboxes!
dazzled: do you have any ricola cough drops at home? the yellow kind, packet has herb pictures all over the top? not sugar free, just regular. if so, heat up some water like you would to make tea, then in a mug add 2 ricola drops and pour the hot water in. stir till drops melt. drink the ricola tea. it will make it much easier to breathe super soon.
or if you have any tiger balm or vicks vaporub at home, put some on your chest.
or if you have any thermacare patches, or a hot water bag, put that along your chest wall and it should help.

Kids loved everything they got, esp the Pillow Pets and all the new Tag books. Hubby was surprised by the Sonicare - at first he thought I had just given him the one I had been "collecting" until I explained no, it is the one worth twice as much.
Hubby did well for me. I got my ears pierced in early November and didn't really have any earrings yet, so he got me pearl ones, studs, and hoops. A kind friend had informed him that would give me the basics to start out with.

Hubby and I had some hysterical cherry turnovers. Our daughter got off work at 7 and went to bed but not before telling us that we not only have to save turnovers for her (duh) but we have to save some and eat them with her. So, we did.
Nibblies are on the table and we will make pizza tonight. Will open gifts when DD gets up.... after we eat turnovers. Again.

Hi Kallison - hope Christmas in your new house is good.
Wrapping a few more gifts. I know I take my slow time about doing that chore but...I get it done. Wrapped the kiddo's for him yesterday after we did some last minute shopping.
Will not be shopping tomorrow..have to work at Penney's tomorrow and probably on Tuesday get my new schedule from the store I am going to.
I know I am sometimes wonder what the other TCC peeps look like. So here is the picture from last Sunday that was online from the Milwaukee Journal. Now I will tell you I was cool!. I has on a long sleeve tee under my jacket since I was going to Penney's afterwards to work. No hat, no gloves and no scarf.
Weather was 13 degrees and the picture definetely shows there was wind.

I opened my amazing, generous, spectacular SS gifts and I love, love, love, love them! you couldn't have gotten them more perfect. so deepest, deepest, deepest thanks for so thoughtfully remembering and making a note of all the things i liked and would like. amazing!
i got: Keith Richards' biography which I have been dying to read! SO excited! plus, I got a copy of The Secret, which I have not read and has been on my read list but I've always been on the fence but lately have been wanting to read. I firmly believe that books/wisdom like that comes your way when you are actually ready and willing to receive the information. I am!! And I got my all-time fave Green and Black's Organic Milk Chocolate. Oh and um, when you have chocolate in hand, well you gotta put it somewhere to lick it off: I got the durex party pack.
I officially had the best SS!
Got wonderful presents from loved ones and they loved my presents, too! I was apprehensive so that was a great relief.
And under the christmas miracles category, i have two that just make me smile so wide:
yesterday was a very tough day for me physically and i found myself gasping for breath repeatedly. so in the evening, exhausted from pain and being unable to breathe I was lying on the couch and I started praying. And I asked for two things: please help dull this pain/restore my breathing so I can get some rest. And then please wake me up when the time is right and allow me some respite so I may wrap presents. I hadn't managed to clean or decorate the house, do stockings, cook xmas dinner or even shop for all the things I wanted to get, so I atleast wanted to be able to make the presents I had look nice and festive for my loved ones. They deserve that.
What do you know? I fell off to sleep on the couch while praying "jesus help me" without even realizing I was asleep. And then all of a sudden I woke up at midnight -- on the dot -- with my voice in my head saying it's time to wrap presents, it's time to wrap presents. for the next 1.5 hour, there was not a single sign of pain and discomfort as I wrapped all the presents. Mind you, I cannot bend, or lift, or stretch or reach out my arm or anything since the accident. But for that 1.5 hour I did everything. And felt nothing. As soon as the last present was wrapped, I put em away, said a thank you prayer and reached down for the ribbon box to put it away. Owwwwwww! The pain was back. just as before!
I had to smile. And smile wide.
Even in our most difficult times, there are always answered prayers and comfort at hand. Merry Christmas All!
