Keep forgetting to tell you gals that got me contemplating the Torani sugar-free syrups that I found some of them at Gordman's....the SF Vanilla was like $5.99/bottle I think....which is higher priced than the 3-pack at Amazon but I went ahead and bought just the one so I could try it. I know I also saw SF Black Cherry at that price and I dunno what else. Might be worth checking if you are wanting to buy just one bottle.

What day do we expect that Target might hit 75% off on Christmas stuff??

Perused the toy section while we were out and about yesterday....appears to be a lot of good ones on clearance. There were a couple bigger Thomas Take 'n Play sets....eyeing those for dd.

tootsie, I'm debating on even watching that show. For some reason, that stuff irritates the crap out of me. Not the dumpster diving or stockpiling, but the people who are self proclaimed coupon experts.

I like food - and spice! Yum... I am just weird in that *if* I don't have it, I'm okay with that too... *laugh*

Our trip to Ohio was nice, but I think I've seen enough burgers, McDonald's and restaurant food to last me several months or more. McDonald's for sure - if I see the inside of another one in the next 6 mos, I'm pretty sure I'll vomit

Went shopping today and got chicken breasts and so many green veggies I may actually end up with green eyes after all. *laugh*

Okay, now for my Kale soup recipe.

It's all approximate here. I was just throwing it together.

Put about 1-2 tbsp olive oil in your soup pan and heat through. Then add:
1 small onion, chopped
2 good sized carrots, sliced
1 stalk celery, chopped

Sautee until onion and celery is soft - carrot will probably stay hardish unless you slice it very thin.

Then chop and add in 1 lb of chicken breast (or whatever chicken you want to use.)

Dice up 2 medium potatoes. When chicken is cooked through, add the potatoes to the pot. Then add salt & pepper, a bit of oregano, rosemary, thyme, and sage (just a smidge), a little red pepper for spice, and some marjoram if you like it. Toss everything together and let cook for 1-2 minutes. Then add enough chicken stock (or turkey stock or plain old water if you don't have the other) to cover. (you could also add a bay leaf if you want)

Remove woody stems from the kale & coarsely chop. Add to the pot and cook through. I think I used about 4 big stalks - but you could use more or less if you want. It was about 2 big, heaping cereal bowls full of kale.

Taste and re-season if necessary.

This is a "light" soup as far as the broth goes. I love it - especially if you've had a few days like we've had where you have been eating junk and need to feel a bit less... blah.

Ohhhhhhh... I love the "experts". I reviewed my current GC stash with DH tonight. He was impressed. Wink I'm going to miss my new Jedi friends when seasonal help is gone. It truely is the most wonderful time of the year. Evil
