I had a cashier at Target tonight that kept worrying that I might be getting something for free. She started with my Beggin Strips. They were $2.59 and I had a $1 TQ and $1 Man Q - She says "Oh - you are getting these for FREE. In fact BETTER than FREE."
(Not sure how she figured that 59 cents is better than free...)
Besides that I got 2 Suave .99 - $1 TQ, 1 Up and Up Mouthwash .34 cents - .50 TQ, and some Wonka fruit thingies .89 - $1 Man Q. So I figured I would be paying for the Beggin Strips (59 cents each).
But she didn't enter some of the coupons. She took it down to $7 and something. She said if she used more coupons - I would be getting them for FREE. So I told her to take the Wonka's off the order. I told her I would eat them for free but wasn't willing to pay for them.
Instead of taking them off - she called over a LOD. He was nice, but then he had to start reading the coupons - and counting the items while she was telling him "She got ALL THIS for free - and if she uses those she will be getting THAT for FREE!!!' It was really bothering her.
Well - he decided I could use the BOGO coupons - but not the $3 off 3 or $2 off two coupons. I thought I had the right number of coupons for the number of items - but he said the BOGO counted on two items so I couldn't use a $1 Q on the one I was buying. So after telling him several times "Just take the Wonka off my order..." he just kept reading the coupons - and counting the Wonkas.
So I said - Well - what if we use all the coupons EXCEPT for the BOGO free coupons - and take two of the Wonkas off my order.He decided that would work. But SHE didn't like it much.
So I paid $2.53 after tax - and she just did this snort laugh at me.
What I don't understand is why - if there is any problem with a coupon and you just politely say "Then please take that item off my order" they never do. They just act like you didn't say it. Read coupons, re-read coupons, call people over, have a line build up behind you, etc. etc.
It seems like it would be much easier for them just to void that item and let you move on.

Thanks GT....have a script for 30-ct. ranitidine from the ER last night, will have dh go get it there. Dr. put me on Prilosec for 3 mos. and of course it is so expensive OTC and is probably more to get by script the doc. said, grrrr. Thinking this is the best route since I went into the hospital 2 yrs. ago on nothing and came out (weighing less) on Zantac and unable to get off of it....still think having the feeding/breathing tubes and all down there irritated something and that it may not have healed right. They also tested for H. Pylori (stomach bacteria) and if that would come back positive there is a treatment protocol so will have to wait on that. Overall a good Dr. appt. this morning.
Did you check Walmart for the gift sets??? They have them marked down....well, HAD them marked down around here......I will tell the story from yesterday morning's shopping adventure of our area shelf-clearer and those gift sets. It's a good one, just too tired right now. Nausea finally went away though, just heavy-headed/sleepy/dizzy now. Darn morphine, you are not welcome in my system - get OUT!

Question...do you think it would keep until Valentines Day? I could take off the Christmas wrap and re-wrap? Thoughts?
