Thinking about Benadryl always makes me laugh. Many moons ago we were out for supper with my mother and father in law. I had a migrain starting and this was before I started carrying something for it. My mother in law had a purse full of stuff so she gave me a couple Tylenol.

As we sat there visiting I literally started nodding off, head jerk the whole thing. Needless to say, we headed home (20 minutes away) where hubby had to wake me up to go in the house. Phone rang. It was my mother in law. She had fed me 2 or 3 Tylenol PM.

They were brand new back then and she had forgotten, hadn't given it a thought, that she had more than one kind of Tylenol in her purse. At least that's her story.... Funny thing is, Tylenol has never, ever worked for me and drugs that cause drowsiness? Oh, hell, I am out for hours with just one, let alone the 2 or 3 she gave me.

Forgot -- TM4D, are you planning to sign up for some of those coupon classes? I hear there is woman in CR that gives them and even has store managers there. You should go. Maybe you could learn a few things.LMAO
LMAO I really think that was a good story at best.

I can't take Benadryl at all.. I am very sensitive to it and it makes me feel weird..

Melatonin doesn't make me sleepy like a sleeping pill exactly.. it just helps me finally drift off to sleep and sleep sounder.. Not like, I take it and would just fall asleep sitting there.. if that makes sense??
Good to know. I have had so much benadryl in my life for these darned allergies that I'm sure I'm probably a bit immune to it or something laugh out loud but yeah pretty much knocks me out and I can only take it at night for that reason....unless there is a serious situation for which I have to take it during the day....in which case means being knocked out with benadryl is the lesser of two evils.

Have I ever shared my CarePage with you guys?? I don't know if posting the link is considered self-promotion or not but I don't need to get a warning here laugh out loud Anyway if you go to www dot carepages dot com and search evaleesmom you'll find it. May have to be logged in there, I don't know. My mom wrote it and only carried it through to about a month out of the hospital....and was in denial about the brain injury for a bit of time too (long story) but it gives the gist if anyone is interested Big Grin 'Cause we all have time for SD, AFC, aaaannnnnddd that LMAO

Warning.....she was a little pic-happy with the pictures of my dd on there!!! She'd only been a grammy for six months at that point!

Tm4d - I already did that.. got the blah blah blah reply back and I even said I felt discriminated against and it was blah blah blah.. So I've sent them another reply back.. I think they will just ban us all. LMAO

I've spent more time over there the last 24 hours than I have over here on SD.. which I should be doing, even though I can't get down to the Wa. again maybe the weekend.

So for all of you that have had to listen to us, bitch and whine, and talk about A.F.C. - Sorry Frown It started out as trying to help our tm4d, but after reading her posts (AFC chick, not tm4d) you can't stand it, you just start jumping in and all of a sudden all hell has broke loose. LMAO

BTW - if you go by google search and see older comments on various threads/forums... She isn't a HE, She is a SHE.. her name is Stephanie.. nod

Ugh - I did NOT need to google that. Did you see the thread where she said she got 1452 dental floss from WM on a deal? WTF? Who needs that kinda floss? I could fence my entire horse pasture with floss!

Okay all you disney world fans (excluding Meesh who is currently there ignoring me), give me the low down on where to start looking for going with my fam. There would be 5 adults and 4 kids. (kids aged 7, 4, 3, and 1)

Any advice or suggestions at all would be fantastic. I know NOTHING about a vacay of this magnitude.

laugh out loud I apologize too.....it is quite addicting. And Bunnies and everyone else's posts over there were soooo darn funny! Roll

I had an OK discussion with them that pretty much ended in, "I will agree to disagree with you and submit to your rules if I want to continue to be a member here but I respectfully disagree with your opinion that it is unkind to publicly state what you have seen a person do in a store." Smilie Crazy

I know of a couple other forums she is on but don't recall seeing that info. Laina.....I might need a PM Wink

Faint And may the force be with you Shocking

seriously, have you visited the Disney forums at disboards [disboards.com]? There you will find EVERYTHING you need to know about Disney. Hotels (they start at Pop Century, etc. being the value resorts and go moderate then deluxe), tickets, meals/restaurants, rides, stroller rentals, etc. are all found there nod

oh, and I finally gave up and contacted the Disney travel agent mentioned in the boards and just let her handle it all Hide We stayed at a moderate resort (Port Orleans), had park hopper passes (meaning you can visit more than one park on any given day-useful if you spend the day at Magic Kingdom but have dinner reservations at Animal Kingdom, etc.), and quick dining meal plan. HTH

mousesavers.com I think was the agency/newsletter that I used. SmallWorldVacations.com was the travel agent and Susie was her name Smilie

WWYD...

Friend from HS messages me on FB in early December wanting to know my snail mail addy to send a Christmas card. I give it to her and in my mailbox today is a "newsletter" from her real estate office. We didn't receive a Christmas card and I kinda feel like she just asked me during the holidays so I can be added to her business mailing list. I am pretty Annoyed J started laughing as he went through the mail as her pic is on the front of the newsletter...he was all..."hey didn't you go to HS with this person." Annoyed

I was thinking of messaging her on FB asking her to remove my name from her work mailing list and unfriending her. She came to our wedding 4 years ago (kinda obligatory invite as my lil sis is BFFs with her lil sis blah blah blah) but I haven't seen or spoke to her since.
Return to sender and unfriend. Although, I wouldn't be that nice. Wink

Ok weight loss buddies. I'm back on the bus. I started counting points yesterday and DH and I have been doing to wii fit every night. I pulled up my calendar from last year and I lost just over 35 lbs. So I have 20 more to lose. I would LOVE to do it by June because we're going away for our 10 year anniversary.

The thing is, Walgreens I KNOW does not like her.....but she has complained to corp. and corp. has told the store to let her.....she does NOT back down. Same with WM --- I've overheard them talking about her. Of course she thinks they all love her....which just feeds the ego.

Slowtech....I get envies super-cheap at Wags with the IVC's at BTS time. They make good useful fillers.

I need some backup over in that RAOK thread just to keep the discussion going to others see it Wink Thanks l2b!!

ETA: not sure who the cookingblog person is l2b....

Thrift....if it didn't waste a stamp I'd be tempted to send it back with a note...."This is not a Christmas card." laugh out loud
i only go to wags during bts for cap erasers, highlighters and 1 or 2 other things. i don't remember seeing posterboard this yr which i wanted b/c i use it for yard sales. i never paid attention to envies b/c we are working on the giant boxes i bought at staples yrs ago when i got fed up w/ what seemed like constantly buying envelopes. i think w/ online bill paying we use less now, maybe 10/month. it will take us a few more yrs to use up the boxes that started out w/ about 500 envies, but i'll keep wags in mind for it.

envies must be another thing she shelf-clears. depending on what size she uses, she is using 1-2 boxes a wk. i saw she upped the raok to 100 envies. that's $44.00 in stamps unless she's figured out a deal on that too. not! she has very serious issues. pls, let's not waste our time on her anymore. she will never *get* it.

tm4d, if i ran into her and she had tons of something in her cart and i wanted it, i would just politely ask for 4-6 of them and even if i only wanted 1-2 i would hold onto them until after she left the store and then put the rest back on the shelf for others. i would also encourage other shoppers to ask her also. just act real cheerful and say so and so found a great deal! just go ask her for some and she'll give you a few!

at wags for RR deals i would talk to the mgrs to see if they could either hold some for you or order extra for you. i've seen it other waggers do it. if they let her get away w/ such behavior they need to somehow make it fair for other customers. i would call corporate and see what they say.

i called customer service for wags a couple yrs ago about a bts price discrepancy and i think they were going to have the store mgr call me or he/she did call me. i think i told them not to bother b/c i wasn't going to drive all the way back to the store for some cheap item when gas cost 4.xx/gal at the time. i would have spend $ on gas to save ¢. i did find them to be very on the ball, way faster and more responsive than target and even my supermarket.

you need to say to them that you and other shoppers would fill your prescriptions at the store but b/c you can't find other products you want to purchase you end up going to the supermarket or target or whoever else has a pharmacy.

cvs and walgreens do not make money on the front end. that's why they seem to be giving all this product away. they make all their money on prescriptions and the front end is to get you into the store in the first place. bff's dh worked at cvs and walgreens, they now own an independent. my uncle has owned a pharmacy since the 60's and i grew up hearing about the business all the time. i can tell you the business has changed and yet has still stayed the same. bff is looking to go into medical equipment after not listening to me for the last 5 yrs, just like my uncle did in the 70's and made a very cushy life for himself. he did a great business selling lift chairs for thousands of dollars that were paid for by the govt. besides the vacay home and boat, he is a partner in a wheelchair factory and 2 of his kids and his sister work at the pharmacy.

if you tell them she is scaring all the other customers and their prescriptions away, they may take the whole thing a lot more seriously. i forget what the average is, something like 5 scrips per person in the US. some scrips can be worth hundreds of dollars for one refill in profit alone. they are losing serious business by catering just to her and not getting other customers in. if just 5 people don't shop at their store b/c of her, they could potentially be losing thousands of dollars just b/c of her. they really don't care about RR's. those are reimbursed by the mfrs.

louise, melatonin... as someone else said, you just take a pill about an hour before you want to get to bed. your brain naturally produces melatonin. it's what gets you to go into deep sleep. so taking a supplement just speeds up the sleep process. most of my friends who take it say they just gently drift off to sleep and sleep soundly. and wake up rested.

i can't take it cos of migraines.

lots of walgreens and cvs shoppers bought tons of natures bounty melatonin back in the 5/1 ip days. i recommend posting in the wags and cvs threads asking if someone has a stockpile (lots of people do) and if they'd be willing to send off to you for shipping cost in a flat rate box. you could get dozens of bottles that way.

also nature's bounty goes on bogo sales at cvs and wags regularly. NB still has 2/1 mqs and ips that they put out. so at cvs you could do the bogo sale with 2 mqs plus a 4/20 or 5/30 cvs q and do pretty well. but try posting and asking first. i gave all my bottles away ( a huge shopping bag full, maybe about 50 bottles) to a friend who takes melatonin.

Mousesavers is a great site!! I love disney and we hope to go this fall. My DD will be 3 and a half and she is the only one who hasn't been. I can't wait!

As far as resorts go.. the first time we went, we stayed at a upper price resort, but only because MIL wanted to and she paid.. What we found was that it wasn't worth the money at all to us.. We weren't in the room long enough to enjoy any of the perks of a nicer hotel.. really only there to shower and sleep.. And the food at that hotel was much more expensive. You can get some good deals at the disney value resorts and they are all pretty nice from what I have read. My friend does disney twice a year and has stayed at all of them. Disney seems to take care of their properties.. hotels, parks, etc.. and I haven't ever really had a problem with their customer service.

Yay! Welcome back to the bus! Sounds like you are off to a great start.. Congrats on the 35 pounds.. awesome!
Just curious.. which wii fit stuff do you find the most workout? I was curious about reviews from other people who use it.. I was doing it regularly, but some of it seemed not too much workout, and some of the other I got bored with. But, I haven't done it in a LONG time, and I think you just inspired me to go workout tonight. Thanks hug

We've just done it a few days. I don't really feel much of a workout, but it's better than sitting on the couch and eating. laugh out loud
