OMG AFC drives me nuts. I need to just stay away from there. But it's addicting.

There is a $1/1 Muellers product (pasta) here: http://www.muellerspasta.com/coupons/list# (must sign up)

I don't even think we have that brand around here, will have to look......anyway......

There's a thread over there this lady started because she is trying to use 2000 of these EEK! in a short period of time, mostly at commissaries, getting overage for each box.....50+ at a time.

Wow, I hope I get that one. If I remember right (and I usually don't) the bigger bottle was around that.

TN - I used to do a Mike Thurman diet
Hmmmm, I'm really looking at this. I usually do low carb and this is low carb but with a little more good carbs and variety.
Quote from love2beeamom :
I lost 150 pounds in 2003

And now that I am back on low carb, one thing I love most is the fact that I don't get hungry.. Something about the way your metabolism works and the suppression of my appetite, and I really don't crave sweets either..
That weight loss is pretty amazing. I usually do low carb too but I can never remember which of you does also. I think there are 3 or 4 of us. I agree about not being hungry. I do need to do a whole lot better eating more regularly and steadily throughout the day.

The biggest problem I have is that I don't like most vegetables. I can do salad -- lettuce, cukes, cabbage, no tomatoes. But when it comes to hot veggies I can eat green beans, a little broccoli and cauliflower if it's boiled to death and seasoned. That's about it and the last time I tried to eat broccoli I gagged and couldn't swallow it.

It sounds like several of us are ready to get back on the bandwagon.

I got the seasoned steak strips and my daughter picked a bag of the fajita chicken but we haven't tried them yet.

Smilie Is it just decaf coffee, or does it have a special flavor to it??

I had a little maxwell house with bailey's earlier. Now I'm having some coke with a little too much rum.

Did I mention that Mavis now rolled from her belly onto her back?

Sadwalk

I'm gonna have to get pregnant again soon if I want a baby much longer. She's getting too big already.
Aww, go ahead.. have another Wink

Quote from tn_native :
Not especially. You've posted about using bagged salad in the past.

I just wanted you to know you are in inspiration in weight loss.

I'll never be thin. Weighed 142 lbs in the 3rd grade, so I've always been as wide as I am tall for as long as I can remember. Falling thru the floor in 2003 and hurting my knee has added another 60 or so lbs to me over the past 7 years. I gotta do something. . . I don't want my SIL joining SD just to tell you I'm not here on earth anymore.
Awe thanks TN hug I didn't feel like an inspiration when I let myself gain most of it back Frown It was darn hard to lose and I swore I would never let myself gain past a 5-10 pound window.. I weighed faithfully every day for 3 years and kept it off.. Then thyroid disease kicked in, as well as a miscarriage, depression, second pregnancy, and my mom's illness and death.. yeah, here I am again. What can I say, chocolate is a comfort food.

And I know how you feel. I was never thin my entire life.. Even when I lost the 150 pounds I was still big by alot of people's standards..but, I felt good and I was happy with me.. The size 12-14 me that I was.. Right now, I am in the process of losing and it isn't near as easy as the first time.. plus since my last child and csection, my body has changed and may not be near the same at the same weight this time.. But, I too, just want to feel better Smilie I quite honestly, I will never have a supermodel body and don't care.. but, I do want to be able to run and play with my kids.. and be around long enough to see grandkids grow up!

I do bagged salad.. Although I much prefer a nice salad from a steak place, but that adds up. For me salad is much better when I fancy it up with some shredded cheese and sprinkle sunflower seeds. Makes it so much better..
And TN - if you like hot.. toss some of that chicken in buffalo sauce and put the buffalo chicken on the salad.. yummy!

Now that would definitely be heartbreaking.
I think that many of us on here are trying to lose weight so hopefully we can be a good support for one another. I go for my first WW weigh-in tomorrow. Today has been tough as far as eating goes, so I hope it goes well! Wish me luck! I hope to goodness I am at least down a pound.
Yay! Good luck! You can do it!

Hey everybody! Hope you all had a great holiday season. We went away for the holidays this year so I am way behind on all things Target. I guess I have missed out on the clearance stuff. Frown
Saw that there was a SlimFast coupon in this past Sunday's paper. Do coupons with upc's that start with "0" still beep? (like the J&J).

I used to read that in the Drugstore thread. Finally put a ballpark location on my profile. Not always sure I am comfortable with having it there. I guess it lets the people in my area know when I am posting. But I am not entirely clear of the benefit of that. I know it does seem to be vitally important to some people. Most deals apply to most stores. The ones that don't might not even carry over to two stores within a few miles of each other. So I still don't understand why it bothers people so much when people don't have their location posted.

Has anyone ever read any stuff by FlyLady? Her topics generally deal with organizing your house and getting rid of clutter. She's way out there. Smilie She has purple feather dusters for "blessing your house," and does things like the 27 fling boogie - where you go through the house and find 27 things to get rid of. Her main site is HERE [flylady.net].

But she also has a section on Reducing Body Clutter. She has a pretty neat contract for that HERE [flylady.net].
BabyStep Pledge
Body Clutter Release Contract
I, _____________________, being of clear mind and with a renewed commitment to release the Body Clutter I have collected in my mind and on my thighs, do hereby declare that I will take BabySteps to ensure life long changes. These BabySteps will include changes in my food, movement and overall attitude toward them and me.

1. I make a commitment to not beat myself up when I make a mistake. I realize that I am not perfect and I never will be, and that in order to establish a new habit my success lies in continual changes that do not happen overnight.
2. I make a commitment to forgive myself for the Body Clutter I have collected. I will not look back in disgust, but only forward to the new changes in my way of living, celebrating each new day.
3. I will no longer be afraid of the scale. I will weigh myself each morning and chart what is happening to my body. This number is going to help me see what I need to do. It is not a reason for punishment. It is a guidepost for including more fiber, more movement and water in my recipe for living.
4. I make a commitment to blessing my heart with Loving Movement every day, even if it is only for 15 minutes. I can do anything for 15 minutes. Movement is fun, not a penalty.
5. I commit to balance in all things. I will not allow myself to become overwhelmed and then crash and burn.
6. I will eat a balanced diet, drink my water and treat myself to nutritious snacks. I will commit to eating breakfast, lunch and dinner and three healthy snacks each day. I will no longer skip meals because this slows my metabolism and my body thinks I am being starved.
7. I will be honest with myself over what fuel I am putting in my body. I will write it down and not be afraid to face myself.
8. I will be aware that I am my greatest saboteur; I will be mindful of all the lies I tell myself to keep change from occurring. I realize that how I have been living is not good for me and I am ready for my new attitude of health.
9. I will bless myself by having nutritious food in my home. This will mean taking time for grocery planning, shopping and cooking. I will no longer live with a drive-by mentality for groceries or meals.
10. I commit to celebrating each day of this new way of living. This is a lifestyle that will bring health and joy to me. It is not a habit that is going away after the Body Clutter has disappeared.
11. I commit to showing myself the love that I deserve. Actions speak louder than words. Everything that I do is a reflection of the love that I have for me! I am so proud of me!

Signed this day by my own hand in love and respect for me!

I guess we know who her best friend is. Hell, she might just be SC new hero. And why do people feel the need to justify their purchases by stating that they are donating them. I don't care whether they eat it, donate it, or drive it directly to the dump. It's their shit, to do with as they see fit.

Has anyone seen this weeks inserts? Wondering if we are all buying Renuzit soon or not...

And WHY do seller's feel the extreme need to cover up barcodes? There are q's I just can't buy (i.e. double 9's cuz they won't double at my grocery store and beep like road-runner), so how can I decide which way to spend my limited q funds if I don't know what I"m buying???!!

I have done some of the fly lady stuff before a few years ago.. I was all into her deal about how to keep your houseclean buy doing X,Y, Z on each day.. Her big thing used to make me laugh cause she would talk about shining your sink before you went to bed each night.. meaning, no dishes or anything in the sink then scrubbing it with bleach, ajax and finishing it off by applying windex til you get it nice and shiny.. I kept up with her schedule for awhile, but gave up.

Now, that being said.. it did really impact me I guess because that is my pet peeve now.. I can't go to bed at night with any dishes in the sink. The rest of the house can look like crap, but I load dishes, and wipe everything off each night before I go to bed..

Oh my God, I swear by the "Shine your sink" mantra, too! If I wake up to dishes in the sink (teenagers!) I automatically get in a bad mood until that sink is clean! Well, not a "bad" mood, but I always feel so much better when the damn sink is clean Smilie

I stopped reading her daily e-mails when I got super busy at work but started reading again over the holidays a little bit when I needed a mental break - I love the way things are so simplified... I think her new thing is something about "7"s - like you can do anything in 7 minute increments (if 15 mins is too long).
