They have the Da Vinci syrup at Sam's and I bought SF vanilla. I hated it. Tried it once, and threw the rest of it away. Tasted alcohol-y **blech**

hug to everyone who has lost a parent. I wish I was closer to my parents. I hope that my kids and I always remain close. I would be devastated if we didn't.

That reminds me Gordman's also has these mini-bottles (don't know oz-wise) but they are small, more of like a big sample or something - $2.99 so yeah definitely pricey BUT if it was something I didn't know if I wanted 3 of from Amazon I'd definitely go that route rather than chance not liking them and wasting money.

Fyi...if you make a new account with Keurig, you can register your brewer again and get the b2g2 again plus $3 off a box. Bummed that they were out of German Chocolate cake, but I still ordered some hopefully yummy ones!

Just went digging through the fridge and found some turkey smoked sausage I bought on sale and forgot about.. Sliced it up and cooked it.. I haven't had that in a long time and it was so good drool would have been better with some mashed potatoes and pinto beans.. but, I still enjoyed it!

We have been lazy all day.. watching TV, playing board games, and hanging out.. It is nice to get snowed in every once in awhile.. I have enjoyed having all my family home all day today hug

probably wednesday before I get out to target.. Hope the coupons I ordered come before then..

Want a shock?? Go see what OB tampons are selling for on ebay. One closed auction I saw was $135 for 120 individual tampons. Got any in your stockpile? Sell 'em!

.
Maybe this is why they are such a hot commodity...

: Hey friends. I hope everyone is doing well.

Jamie, did you ever get a hold of meesh? I'm wondering how Disney was for her and the family.

This week is going to be a tough one. Wednesday is the 1 year anniversary of my dad's death. Ugh. I almost can't even believe it's been a year. It makes me so sad to think about how much he's missed and how much he would love to see the baby running around driving me insane.

In happier news... I know a lot of you have little ones so I wanted to share my new site. TP Craft dot com. If you're my friend on FB then you've already seen the link, but I thought I'd share it here as well. I'm going to be posting some craft projects that DS and I do with toilet paper and paper towel rolls. I thought all the TP hoarders could appreciate that.
I'm sorry you are missing you dad so muchhug I'm sure he's watching from heaven and overjoyed with his grandaughterhug.

Cathi, my FIL posted a link on FB for the video they (Patriot Guard) made of the funeral. I think its awesome that these men and women do this for the veterans.

I'm thinking about signing up for the flylady emails again. I followed her "regime" a couple years ago, and even though it wasn't to the letter, it did help me realize how easy it is to get things clean and maintain.

Off to bed. See you all in the morning
!
Il looked for it can you send me the link , I'd love to see it. hug

Still feeling sick and gross. I'm also self-diagnosing on webmd, so I've also convinced myself I am dying. So there's that.

Everyone that's deal with inclement weather, please be careful.
I'm sorry you feel like crapola , stay away from webmd.
I hope you fel better soon.

[QUOTE=tn_native;36192573]:: Snowed in. I haven't measured, but somewhere between 6-9 inches is my estimation. Was beautiful when it started. Even had Thunder Snow about 1045 last night
I haven't been at work since mid-day Tuesday due to being sick. Started with tummy troubles. Over the weekend the throat started getting sore. Left side tonsil is HUGE and both are spotted. I can't get to the doctor today, due to the snow. It's probably strep throat.
I don't know what that means for my trip to see niece play Wed-Saturday now /QUOTE]

I never seen thunder snow, like a thunder rain shower ?

Sorry you are under the weather, hope you are able to see at least some of those games, how disappointing.

Awwww Cathi, I feel so bad for youand Pray....if that was my little brother I can imagine feeling much the same way That is just hard. Can't imagine being that young dealing with something like that either.
Yes is is awful young for something like this, although I know it happens, it's just shocking,
in an otherwise healthy person.
We have been very lucky in our family health wise 5 brothers and sisters, and really not alot of even flu virus, illness, or even minor health problems. .
Thanks so much for the empathy.
[QUOTE=tootsie67;36202513]the ham selling out was my sign too :still waiting for my H&D pears anyhow....how many groceries do I really need to arrive by mail?!?!
Just had my first migraine with aura experience. NOT pleasant. I'm not sure why it happened either. All of a sudden I had zig-zag lines and I couldn't see the keys on the phone. The plumber is here to fix a leaky pipe and I could just picture him having to call my DH since I couldn't see the keys on the phone Frown I took 800mg of motrin then went outside into the cold for deep breathing and drank a bottle of water. I still feel fuzzy but my vision is better. scary as hell QUOTE]

Tootsie that is frightening, I hope this doesn't become a pattern, and hope you feel better soon.
Quote from getgreen09 :
m2c and tmcws,i am so sorry for both your losses. i pray that you feel the constant presence of your father's love each day, and especially today, and that when you look at yourself in the mirror (not in terms of your face, but really look into your own eyes) you see that in you and in all the amazing, magical things you have become, your father lives on beautifully, every single day.

cathi... thank you for the update. he is in my prayers every single day. you know, i don't know which hospital they are going to, but it is worth exploring: large hospitals frequently have a complimentary medicine center with homeopathy, acupuncture, acupressure and reiki practitioners and they custom design a plan for patients to help alleviate the chemo side effects. it makes a big difference for a lot of people. a lot of hospitals also have a family support/counseling/spiritual center, and if approached they will assign someone to check in on the family and privately allow each member to talk to counselors about their fears and frustrations and feelings. that could be very helpful for your brother and his family. they will also often assign a spiritual counselor who will check in with the family and these folks are just a little better able to deal with the dimensions of the situation than their professional counterparts in the world outside, because they're specifically trained to deal with the medical setting.

to get an idea of what i'm saying check out the web pages for dana farber cancer center in boston or m.d. anderson cancer center in houston, just so you can get an idea of what you guys might want and then can ask the hospital etc. sometimes when one is going through so much it is hard to know what resources are available and where to find them.

.

tootsie... i am really glad to hear you are feeling better. glad, too you went outside where people could see you and that you drank water. i get auras - things out of focus, light rings around stuff, dizziness, black spots, but have never had what you described, thankfully! that is scary stuff.
also, just in case you might want to start a migraine diary when you feel a bit better. note date, time of attack, symptoms and anything else you can think of for that day: where you are in your hormonal cycle, any rx changes, any stress triggers, any particular foods you had, whether you had been drinking/not drinking a lot of water etc. so if you get more migraines, you can start looking for patterns.

:
Thanks so much for the continued prayers and you are in mine. hug
I will definatly check out that site , I have some reading to do .

Quote from love2beeamom :
Glad I could be of help with the flavor choices Actually, I wouldn't have ordered the first time if it weren't for tootsie telling me how to make a good low carb cup of coffee..Now, I am hooked..

Went out and played in the snow, came in and snacked in front of the fire, and now just finished soaking in a hot tub.. now, if I could get a nap, it would be a truly perfect day!

M2C and TMCWS - my mom has been gone 3 years and my dad 13 years.. some days are still so hard. I always remind people to treasure their parents while they have them. I didn't appreciate mine enough until they were gone Frown

Well, school is closed here again tomorrow. I think I am going to tackle cleaning out the closet and my clothes drawers tonight.. They are both a mess.

And on the yard sale talk.. I seem to have a hard time these days with stockpiling yard sale stuff.. Either lack of good deals or lack of coupons.. I do have a growing collection of suave, but don't expect that to bring in $$ at a yard sale.
I had high hopes for that b2g1 secretEmbarrassment
So sorry for your losses, and it's a good reminder, too often are parents become an afterthought a chore as we lead busier and busier lives. I have decided (along ) time ago to cherish them now and not have those regrets, guilt on top of the greif when they pass.
Quote from tmcws :
I couldn't agree more! I lost my mom 7 years ago, and I still think about her and talk to her every day. I know she's up there watching, and I still try to live my life in a way that would make her proud if she were still here. Definitely a good reminder to say I love you a LOT now, while we can still hear them say it back.
I''m sorry also for your loss, and believe as you do they still have those eyes and ears they did while raising us . I sure she is looking on and feeling your sadness and joy as you live your life. hug

I embarrased to admit , I never got on track, with my diet ,excersise plan , stuck with it in fits and starts.,

I'm just a little overwhelmed in real life now now and just can't get mentally prepared. I'm hesistant to even say I'm going to start up right now, as I 'm just not ready for the discipline I need and don't want to let myself down again. I'll do what I can. Frown
