She is having a Toy Story birthday.....I found a snowglobe @ Wags (non-Christmas) to use with it. I am going to do a square cake and cut out a portion in one of the corners to replace with styrofoam to support the snowglobe. DD loves snowglobes. The cake it self will be fondant-covered (green or blue or orange LOL don't know yet) with fondant cut-out stars all over it and something written on top with "Happy 3rd Birthday Evalee"...that is the gist haven't decided on every little detail yet.

We did cupcakes for dd's first b-day....that was super fun....last year a friend made her an elmo cake. Will try to post some pics at the bottom of this message....oh and of my 'practice' cake too. It wasn't a TS3 practice, just one using some stuff I had on hand to be sure the fondant was really doable and everything. Really pretty ugly as it was frosted w/green frosting from Christmas clearance and then the fondant I did was yellow...practiced cutting out the yellow stars and 'gluing' them on then did some make-shift decorating on those. LOL it was hodgepodge laugh out loud

This is how I did dd's the last time....super-duper easy. Let's see if I can find a pic of her in it too... Smilie

Ooooo I got one too....75% off was $100ish on clearance for $25ish. We have wanted one forever!

OK....here's all of the various pics I promised above!

OMG ..OMG. Seriously that baby and those photos should be in a mag. .

Beautiful baby, beauitful photographs.

drool on the ,and thought we weren't even supposed to say CAKE in here Wink

Okay reading backwards again.... I have to catch up.

1 of my targets went 75 % today, all the good stuff was mostly gone .
The other was holding at 30% to 50 % in the late afternoon and I did scan.

Had to do some returns.bounce...still 1 fairly large item , I am hoping can go back Wink

Nothing else excting going on there ,clearance or otherwise.

ETA I like the one from "above " looking down on her , that's my fav, nice work ..

Thanks for the concern about my DD - she seems to be fine, so who knows. Just one of those unexplainable toddler things I guess.

TM4D - Awww... such a cutie pie!

Soooo.... I was reading this [wsj.com]and now feel like I need to change my parenting strategy. Maybe just a little...

Ya'll need to stop with the cakes. I soooo do not have time to decorate cakes!!

Cute baby pics.. Looks like your cake turned out pretty good.. I think I am gonna do a princess cake for my DD, or princess cupcakes.. May try the barbie doll kinda cake that everyone was talking about a few months ago.

I can see your Keurig and your kcup carousel in the background.. I have the same one Wink

thismom, those cakes and cupcakes look yummy! Your dd is adorable. Smilie

janretz, I LOVE my Canon printer. No offense to anyone, I gave in to some of the hype and bought a HP printer a few years ago. I spent more on ink every month than what I spent on the printer. Sold it on Craigslist and went right back to a Canon. We also had a Brother printer that was pretty decent, and ink costs were lower than HP. I just overall like the Canon better than other. Right now, we have MP620 and MX860 models. Both are wifi printers.
I second the love for my Cannon.. Ink is reasonable, and I only buy new ink every 3 - 4 months maybe.. Our HP ink was very pricey.. Of course, I am gonna spring for a laser the next time I see the deal with the brother laser.. Alot of people say how good it is and I have seen in on HD several times for 50.00, but I always miss the deal.

Day #3 being inside.. I decided to boycott cooking tonight and had DH stop to pick up wings and some barbecue drool Now I am really full and ready for a nap Smilie

Arrgh, DD failed her driver's exam this morning. I feel moer than a little at fault, since I didn't work a ton with her on city driving with...stoplights and all. We have to drive 45 minutes to any town with any amount of them, and I guess I just didn't think about it.

So, apparently she didn't stop completely in the turn lane and then turned in front of a car when the light turned green (no arrow). Ugh...two weeks until she takes it again, guess I'll be going to the big city a lot between now and then! Good news is there's a T there.
That is dangerous for her , I was taught to count to ten when the light turned green, to allow the light runner ,or intersection to clear. That first ten seconds when the light turns green is when most accidents happen at intersections. I have a worry wort for a father.
However that is an accurate statistic. Here we will get a tickert if we are turning left, and are the first car thru an intersection. Complete stops are also crucial and behind the stop line, at least for your test.

She'll do better next time hug

[QUOTE=gatorcater;36272445]Hey everyone!

Just popping in to say hi. Hope you all are doing well...staying warm & healthy.

Just wanted to post that my siblings gave me a Keurig for Christmas. It is so pretty but I haven't even used it...it's still in the box. Waiting until I have a kitchen to put it in again.

We are all in Florida now, which is nice. We still dont have any tenants in our Michigan house yet...hopefully by February b/c our property manager was confident that it would be rented by then. Hopefully then, we can start house shopping here.

So DH drove a 24' Budget truck down here, pulling a trailer that was transporting my car. On the back of my car was a platform attached to the trailer hitch. The platform was carrying our lawn mower, a ride-on toy and my desk chair. Well, the platform snapped off somewhere between Southern Ohio and Tennessee :omg: DH has no idea what happened. I really hope no one was injured B :
[/B] But I am guessing that the police would've been able to catch up with him as he was pretty noticeable :

Think I am going to make some soup too...that chicken pot pie soup sounds
To all those mourning and remembering the loss of your family members...P&PT and hugs from me!

I am taking the Bar exam February 22, so a lot of my free time is being used to study. I am still shopping just not posting as much. I hope to get back in here regularly after the exam.

:

Must break out the keurig in time for worship wen.

I'm glad that turned out to be a laughable matter, maybe the cop was busy trying to score some free stuff woot

At least it wasn't the car trailer that let loose .

Where in Fl did you wind up again ?

Hope you do well on your Bars.

How sad is it that folks try and SELL the Febreze noticeable forms that you can print online 320640528839?

In the Wags thread, someone noted that several folks are selling the free January IVC books as well.

Well, the Dr said, you've got something (tonsils are huge, green mucus) Scratchchin but probably viral and you are getting over it. Strep test report will be back on friday. I'm to call on Friday if I'm not feeling any better, but continue with the Zicam, the gargles and the Nyquil at night and not go back to work until Monday at the earliest. So : what I have, and it appears I won't be getting any drugs to make it better for now.

So I'm hanging out with you guys! Thanks for asking.
Lemon and honey in warm will kill the bacteria and soothe your throat also.
Hope ya feel bettr soon.

I don't believe you work at Tarjay

I do, she could work at mine Wink

Maybe we should have her recite the Q policy before we let her stay Rofl2

Then we could send her forth to train all our cashiers. Big Grin

yep. I have a frozen turkey too.. But, yeah, it is still in the freezer. I probably could have made something with chicken cause I do have a pack or two.. but really wanted wings.. And, my 2 oldest teens have "friends" over. My DD has a boy from school and my DS has a girl from church laugh out loud I feel like I am entertaining and feeding the multitudes Smilie

Seems funny that they canceled school cause of the road conditions, but both of these teens were allowed to drive themselves here.. My DH said most roads he traveled were okay, but no way was he letting our kids drive on them LMAO

And, now I want cake Frown can we show pictures of celery creations next timenod
Guess, I will settle for a cup of coffee with some caramel creamer.. should help with the sweet tooth.

I'm sorry if it was my question that made you rant. I just now came in to see if anyone had replied. I'll go back to my corner now.

Thanks getgreen, I'd never though to set up a deal alert. I'm just afraid that a buying another "cheap" printer will end up with high ink replacement costs. I also have no experience with any other brand than HP, so I'm not sure what's "good"
I never said it was you. It was a general statement.

Kind of annoyed that you would just assume, if you took my statement as pertaining to you solely, well I am not sure what to say. I am not going to apologize for my feelings.

Looks like TLC is going to do another extreme couponing show. there's a casting call thread in here ... oh my .... the first one must have been very successful for them. Unfortunately, they'll have to keep getting more and more extreme shoppers and we'll all end up not only looking like wackados, but probably paying for it in the end....
