Stopped at KMart, Christmas is still at 75%. According to someone who would know, they haven't received any info but think it will go 90% the first part of next week.

I noticed a new product at HyVee today. They had a Keurig Classic for $99.

Target coming to Canada... Smilie

Unfortunately we have "short" barcodes on all our prodcuts so don't think using coupons (short barcode here) will be the same as in the US. Will have to try some out though when they finally open up here.

Target aims for Canada with $1.83 billion takeover of Zellers locations

David Friend, The Canadian Press, On Thursday January 13, 2011, 11:10 am EST

By David Friend, The Canadian Press

TORONTO - Zellers stores across Canada will begin to disappear starting next year as major U.S. retailer Target moves into many of their locations across the country.

Target (NYSE:TGT) said Thursday it will spend $1.83 billion to buy up the leasehold interests in up to 220 Zellers stores from the storied Hudson's Bay Company in its first expansion outside of the United States.

Though the Zellers brand won't disappear immediately, the deal is the first step in Target's plan to have between 100 and 150 of its stores open in Canada by 2013.

"This transaction provides an outstanding opportunity for us to extend our Target brand, Target stores and superior shopping experience beyond the United States for the first time in our company's history," Target president and CEO Gregg Steinhafel said in a statement.

Oh Laina, that sounds great for you! You'll have the convenience of T close by and clearance dealios without traveling. I just wonder how/if GCs bought in the states would apply in Canadian stores.

Teri I'm Pray for your family.

I have frozen milk with mixed results. I don't take any out, just throw it in the freezer. It tasted fine on thawing, but it seems that since it's gotten colder, the milk separates a bit. I can usually shake it and it's fine, but not lately. I've had it frozen for months, and it's fine after expiration, for the standard milk shelf life
Quote from love2beeamom :
ON the frozen milk talk.. I used to freeze the horizon organic milk when my DD was about 1 and she drank alot of milk. I don't take any of it out. Just stick it in the freezer just like it is.. I do let it slow thaw as Gator mentioned, in the fridge. It takes several days, and I shake it up every now and then because it will be seperated as it thaws.. It looks fine when I pour it, but like I say, I do shake it up. And for me, it seems to last quite awhile once thawed. It will usually be good atleast a week after completely thawing.
Quote from gatorcater :
Yes. I have frozen milk before. It tastes OK once it is thawed. IME, You have to let it thaw on it's own in the fridge (about 2-3 days) and then consume it quickly. But it does taste and look fine.
Thanks for the info. Will be trying it out.

Thanks for the link! I would love doubles. We used to have Albies doubles, but they shut down...

Hmmm, I haven't been to KMart either. I think it's about time for them to go 90%, can't remember when that is, but around 3 weeks sounds about right. Oh wait. No more Christmas stuff, no more Christmas stuff.... Big Grin
Our Kmart Christmas was still 75% here too. But I did find some Halloween and T-day stuff - it was also 75%. WTH??

Yes, there are.....they were TPC for $10.xx from $11.xx I think?? Don't know if they are larger than what is carried in the reg. section or what (last year some of the 'great save' stuff just went back to the regular section when it was over Confused) but I do remember seeing them in with the Great Save stuff!

Now, I know what a woody is Evil but I've never heard of it in context of celery. Is this just (no other way to say it) hard or tough celery?

What's with the Celery or the Celery Lift icons then? I know it was before my time here on SD.
I wish I knew also. I see it mentioned, but I'm all like... what, the what?

All I can say is that I heart heart out of town Ts!!

Went to a new store today and wow was it STFC. Didn't get there until 1:30 and was still able to get several Leapster games & Tag books. Lot of Thomas trains. Also got some play wonder ice cream & pots/pans sets and 5 Little Monkeys game. Happy with my haul. Finally found the Olay trial soaps. All in all a very successful trip!
I'm glad the sunshine state is being so welcoming to you. Teehee

I'm a SAHM, but I have a master's degree in Special Education. I left teaching to run our family business for a few years before DS was born. Once he came I took him with me whenever I had to go in, but shortly thereafter we sold our shares of the company to my in-laws and that has financed what I like to call my "extended maternity leave".

And yes, you are a super woman in my eyes. Smilie

2 things: 1. Sweet Tea Vodka is yummy and B. I think we need to plan a SD meet up for the Orlando area.

To be honest... I have NO DESIRE to go back to work once the kids are older. My secret plan is for us to have 3 rental properties by the time the little one starts K, and I'll just manage those. We already have 1 rental house, and we put an offer in on a condo last week so we're waiting to hear on that. We'll see what happens. I'm not opposed to going back to work, I just don't really want to. Wink
