So can people in the "family" group see that they're in that group? Seriously considering adding my mother and R's SIL into said grouping (I was trying to figure out how to politely de-friend the SIL).

Nope. They don't know which group they're in or if they're even in a group, and for all they know EVERYONE sees your profile the same way they do (maybe you're just paranoid and don't let everyone see your profile? Dontknow)

My family group also doesn't have access to see my buddies (so they don't know who I'm friends with).

Then I'm going to do this. She has no idea of how active I am on FB now so being in a restricted group will be a good solution.

Have you been to Aldi recently? They have $2 off butt or shank portion hams (whole, unsliced). The use or freeze by date is late Feb at my store. I found a good looking, smaller one and paid only $7.50.

I went last week for produce, but I didn't think to look at the meat.

Blush I just spent $65 there but I did get a ham, a pot roast and some ribs. I tend to alternate going there one week and Kroger the next. The produce is much cheaper, as you know, but the selection is somewhat limited.
