The other I think will be a one time in a larger venue. She told me I could pick my price. I don't think they are charging anything over that price.
She just emailed me with a Feb 5th date.
Why are you scared of this event? afraid of public speaking?

And...what if I stutter? Or screw something up? Or I sound boring?

I think the biggest fear with public speaking is not knowing what you're going to say or how you're going to fill in the time allotted to you. I had an interview recently and needed to do a 45 minutes presentation. I think I practiced that presentation about 15-20 times before the interview. I had it down cold, day of -- I was completely fine. No stuttering, no hesitations, etc.
!Boring = add a few jokes, add a few random related/un-related facts to keep the presentation interesting (like the first coupon was invented in blah blah blah or manufacturers intent with couponing is to get you addicted to their product, or whatever)

They shut up nearly instantly. I held it for a good 10 seconds, opened my eyes... smiled and said "Please pass the vegetables."
Freaked them the hell out.
