Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

Make sure you check the viewing angle. You have to be close to straight on with some of the cheaper ones.

great thank you. My sister and I have not received ours yet and we ordered right after points for week 10 updated and we both called to confirm orders before 1/11. Other sister and boyfriend didn't order theirs until new points added after week 10 and they didn't call. They got theirs last week!! Thanks for info.

Maybe you could try to figure it out tonight...before you potentially lose power. Plus, there are lots of smart folks on here with experience/expertise in most every subject, that I imagine would be happy to help with questions/problems. Just a thought.
OK guys.... Can anyone give me step by step instructions on hooking up a generator to a TV or other electrical device? Here's what I think...

Start the generator. Plug an extension cord into one of the outlets on the generator, then plug the the refrigerator, computer, etc. into the other end of the extension cord.

So if I'm wrong, please let me know before I blow my house upEEK!EEK!

There should be specs in the details section of the description. We just got a 32" with a viewing angle of 178 degrees and we can watch it easily from the side.

That is an excellent site. However, I do have to disagree with the viewing angle. I've seen a few that are horrible if you stand slightly to the side.

Make sure to use a surge protector on the end of the extension cord, they usually come with 6-8 plug ins. Also ck the oil level in the generator before starting, most new ones come with no oil. most generators have a cut off swith where they will not start if no oil, read instructions with generator to find out what kind of oil it takes. They are rated at a certain amprage and can only power so many devices, definitely want to use lamp with flouresant bulb to cut down on cosumption and leave available wattage for more fun items.bouncebounce

I am sure you know generators must be run outdoors only!!

all electronics plugged in but turned off

start generator

turn on electronics (surge protector is a great idea, also acts as a multi plug)

Using it outdoors is about the only think I'm 100% sure about Wink Great point about the flourescent bulbs.. I have a few of the ones that take the place of lightbulbs.

Question... what about the refrigerator? That can't be turned off, so would I plug it in after?
