i got a cat (pictures included)

I got my cat yesterday….


his name is cat, his hobbies include walking on the keyboard when i am trying to type, and sanding perfectly still while i take a picture (untill the moment i press the shutter button then he moves)

and yes i know my bed is not made and my place is messy

I call it getting a hair up their ass. Sydney does it and her tail looks like a raccoon. It is hilarious.

he literally runs circles around my apartment, typically at around 4am… multiple times he has pounced on my feet while i am asleep…. the other night he jumped on my face and scared the crap out of me….


i changed my ringtone to a recording of him meowing for food, so now whenever i get a call, he gets really confused and runs around looking for his doppelgänger…


additionally he likes going into the refrigerator and whenever he hears the door open, he races full speed to the kitchen and leaps inside (twice he has collided head first the the jug of milk)
if you haven't already, start trimming the nails, or he will soon start shredding anything he wants

trust us cat owners on this one. regardless of how many scratching posts/boards you have, they will want to dig at something else. nails will get literally sharp as a razor, and the sharper they have em, the more they'll want to scratch anything, including your hands/arms even when they don't intend to hurt you, they will accidentally. if you're cautious about doing it at first, let the vet show you on a visit

Yep, they will do it all the time, the worst is when they are laying on you and the STRETCH their arms and sink their nails into your flesh.


Our cats are 100% indoor cats and will never see the outdoors except through the window so we had them altered with lasers. Smilie
