Well, I got something from Marlboro, well one and a half things. I got the ashtray with the letter about the boots delay.

Then I got the bonus gift ashtray, except the box was open and the lid was missing Frown
I called Marlboro and they are going to send a replacement Smilie

While I had them on the phone I asked for the tracking number on the netbook. Seems it was supposed to be delivered yesterday but there was a note "Emergency conditions beyond UPS' control" whatever that means. It's also listed as supposed to be delivered today, so I'll see what happens. I don't know what the "emergency conditions" yesterday was so who knows?

I liked this one because of the low power draw. It is possible to fry a USB port, and since we only have 3, I didn't want to risk it. Also, this one doesn't need to be put on the stand. You can leave the stand off & lay it down flat. I also liked the small size so I can throw it in a suitcase and watch DVD movies when I'm travelling.
For what it is, I think it was a good deal with the rebate. Still might order one!

Interesting that you got a letter about the boots delay, was the ashtray that came with the letter the same as the bonus gift ashtray? And great news that the netbook is just around the corner!

As for the netbook, fingers crossed that it gets here today. This is what it said on the UPS tracking page for yesterday:

My bike has been listed as in town for 8 days five of those they said Emergency condititons beyond UPS control. When it arrived in town there was an ice storm, but it has been a week and I'm still waiting for delivery. So frustraiting I could screem. Received email bike shipped Jan 10.

Funny, I was just pondering the other day why the boots people didn't get a "consolation" gift, I guess some people did, well I've now got 4 bonus ashtrays sitting around the house so I didn't need another one anyway. And I haven't heard boo about the netbook, I ordered it under my son's name so I don't want to bother with having to sound like a man to inquire about it, lol. Guess I'll just be surprised one of these days! The Fed Ex lady today had on shorts and a cold front came in this morning and it was 25 degrees outside, but yesterday the weather wasn't bad.....hmmm. Least you know it's coming nod

Did it say it was on the truck out for delivery? This is the second day it says that so I'm holding some hope.
