Hi all,
I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.
Everyone is welcome!
I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.
This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.
So, I hope it catches on !

I see there's a recovery CD, that's cool, I can go right with Linux and still go back to Win7 if I need to without making a backup first. Saves time.
I'll probably start it up in windows, make some bootable Linux stuff, take a look a PinGuy Linux, install that if I like it, if not go for ubuntu/xubuntu. I have a ubuntu netbook edition disc I'll look at, but I'm not keen on the new desktop. Well, I have a couple of days of setting up and configuring and moving stuff ahead of me. Fun stuff.
As for the OS, I think I am sticking with the Windows 7 (for now, at least). I upgraded to 2GB of memory, uninstalled Norton/Office/other junk, and added a 2GB SD card 100% dedicated to ReadyBoost... so far, so good. It still struggles with multiple applications simultaneously, but it hasn't been unbearable. Definitely keep us posted on how the Linux performs, because there is still a good chance I switch over at some point.

I called Marlboro and they are going to send a replacement
While I had them on the phone I asked for the tracking number on the netbook. Seems it was supposed to be delivered yesterday but there was a note "Emergency conditions beyond UPS' control" whatever that means. It's also listed as supposed to be delivered today, so I'll see what happens. I don't know what the "emergency conditions" yesterday was so who knows?
