Yesterday my house got robbed and I sent 3 kids to kiddie jail and one home for a spanking!

My House was robbed by 4 kids. OMG One was only eight years old. The 8 year old boy cracked under pressure and told his mommy what he had done. I got most of my stuff back, but not all of it. I'm out $700 to $800 in odds and ends. Some of the stuff that is still missing is stuff that can never be replaced. I'm very sad & pissed off! Please say a little prayer that I get the rest of my stuff back. Crying

Would have been weird unloading my glock on a bunch of kids.

But it would have been unloaded none the less.

Nono

You shooting someone breaking into your house is self defense IMO if you don't want to get shot, don't break the law in that fashion.

Shooting unarmed children is nothing but murder.

The fear of being shot kept me from breaking into houses when I was a kid.

I would have no problem shooting anyone who breaks into my house.

The wonderful thing here is that the law is on my side not the criminals.

My glock holds 17 bullets and I have another 17 round mag nicely stored just in case.

Perhaps the kids should all be sent to your house when they are looking to steal stuff, you could leave milk and cookies out for them too.

In these cases I firmly believe in the need for more gun control.

You need a very steady hand to hit those little bastards at that age.

Hi Cupcake,
I have not see you much on SD and miss you. I am really sorry about what happened to you. Does the 8 years old stole most of it than 14 years old? Are they still in jail or let them go? Is your first time happen? I like the word you said dumb husband make me laugh so hard. I bet he learn his lesson and from now on lock the doors and are you going to put security alarm and security camera on your house? I wonder who idea to break into your house by 8 years old or 14 years old? Stupid idiots kids! Otherwise you are okay. hug

Oh stickerbear I Love you Girl. The 8 year old and the 12 year old took the stuff from the house and gave most of it to the two 14 year olds. I think they are already out of jail, not sure if they will be going back after a court date or not. Kinda sucks. Yes, I think dumb husband learned his lesson. I also miss you Blowkiss

I'm mad! My husband said that he had seen one of the older boys riding his bike around the neighborhood yesterday. In other words, he got less then a week in juvenile detention center.
That is just FARKED UP!

What happened to your things that are irreplaceable? I don't know if I missed it, I just don't know why it couldn't be recovered.

They probably only kept him overnight at the most. They don't keep kids locked up in detention for very long.

Kids didn't turn the items over to the cops. Some of the stuff was jewelry my dad made me before he died.

OP left her home unlocked and some neighborhood kids came in and took some of her stuff. She called the police and had 3 of the 4 kids put in jail. The 4th kid must have been too young to be put in jail.

She wants her stuff back and filing a suit against the parents' was mentioned. I replied that it was good we live in a sue happy country. Better chance of getting a favorable jury.

Why are you so upset about that? It is the truth.
First of all it will be small claims court (according to the price she put on the items) so a jury will not be on the case. It will be heard before a judge, who will either have the parents of the boys work out a payment plan with the victim OR she'd throw out the case since the value of the items is so low and because they didn't actually break into the home because the victim left the door unlocked.

Already talked to the investigator, he said it makes no deference that it was unlock its still braking and entering. I will turn over the list to the investigator and he will put it to the judge for restitution. nod
