I just got a $5 Amazon from swagbuck...I could do it if you really needed someone. Have no shake head clue as to what you're doing but don't want it to be "awkward"! Big Grin You'll have to explain what I'm supposed to do if I'm in.

shake head don't even have to watch the game. After you pick some boxes when JD tells us to you just sit back and wait to win!

And it takes zero football knowledge as evidenced by the fact that have yet to win.

So I'm prepping Kate's Valentine's day gift. Perfume, Gone with the wind movie, and I figure I need to get a basket or something. I never watched the movie, is there something that is a simple correlation that can be added?

Frankly (pack of hot dogs) my dear (venison jerky), I don't give a damn (dental dam is not cool, but other than a Hoover dam replica, I can't think of anything).
A pretty fan and/or hankie to fan herself or wipe her brow
Dark red lipstick
Flowers, candles, perfume in southern flower scents...Magnolia, Gardenia, Jasmine
Mint Juleps so buy a pretty glass or for a non drinker Sweet Tea
Southern Comfort for you and a cigar

Make it into a picnic movie night...
Basket filled with fried chicken, slaw, corn bread/biscuits, pecan pie/red velvet cake/caramel turtles...

Damn...You could have made a magnet or something from the fly

Want me to continue....LMAO

Kootz, I emailed the amazon card to your gmail account. If you want me to send it to your att one, just let me know.

Today I got a great, unexpected deal. Last weekend I found some cute bedding for DD's new bed online. I was looking at Land of Nod (Crate and Barrel's kids line) for ideas, since I don't think I'd ever set foot in there since it is so wildly out of my price range. Found a cute duvet, was on sale from $70 to $40, but still seemed like a lot for me.

Hesitated for a day and then it went out of stock. Looked this week for other options and didn't find much I thought was cute or affordable. There is one Land of Nod store in WA and it's about 30 min from my house, called them and they had it in stock. Drove down today and they had it!
I told dh that I knew I was in a store out of my league when I noticed that they didn't even put prices on many things, as if price was no object. I can't imagine living like that. She rang it up and it was $25!! OMG I got the sham for $9. Went to a couple of other places (T and TJMax) and picked up a comforter to put in the duvet and a sheet set ($30 total!) Feeling like I did pretty good. Now if only mattresses weren't so $$$.

Yeah, Toffi! you deserve such a great score! Doesn't it feel so much better when you get it cheap? bounce I've been meaning to tell you that I'm thinking about your friends with the baby with the cleft lip/palate. I know that it's scary, and couldn't imagine the worry they are going through. Medical technology and surgery today is fantastic, and I'm hoping the surgeons are able to correct it so that baby has a tiny scar or no scar at all.

That reminds me- I've been meaning to make a box for Kootzie's nephew- I've had the box and some items in it for months, but I know I have more somewhere, it's just that the somewhere could be anywhere! I'm going to gather it up and get it together by the time Wexie visits me, so she can give it to kootz!

Also, Wexie, I'm getting goodies together for you, too! Big Grin Can't wait to meet you! And you asked before if dh thinks it's weird to meet a SD friend on vacation. At first he would think it was weird when I was boxing up stuff to send to people for Secret Santa and trades and stuff. Then he saw when I got my boxes of goodies, and he was like, "Who would send you all of this great, expensive stuff for free?!" After I explained it, he said, "So you send a box of crap you don't want, and get a box of crap you do want?" Welcome to Slickdeals, hubbie! Wink

It was kind of funny when I was collecting for Rach's baby, and the paypal is under his name, so he kept getting these emails saying he had cash. He was like, "Look at all this money we got!" I told him right away to step off that money, it wasn't his, it was a SD thing. Then he saw me getting the gift cards together and writing out the card, and he was amazed at how much you guys rocked. He couldn't believe that so many "strangers" around the country had gotten together to do something like that. That's what makes our group so awesome. I can honestly say that some of my best friends are on here, and I've only seen pictures of you! Cool

The coolest was actually being able to meet Kootz in person! She is as beautiful and saucy in person as she is online! And I can honestly say that I met an internet friend at a hotel. Sounds kinky, huh? Big Grin
