So we are going on a north atlantic cruise in June. 2 questions. Anyone go to the beach with their DSLR and did you have any concerns about the ocean air corroding your device. Also, with the boat moving so much, you can't really have long exposure times, so what types of shots did you take?

Good idea to meet her face to face. And since you live in the same community there might have to be some kinda of agreement. So there can be a win win situation.Surrender

Actually, I have some wonderful friends. You guys helped me the last time around with the diapers and at the beginning this time you guys came thru again! Now Craig and Pam (mostly Craig (fl friend) ) is really coming thru and he's more then ok with me sharing his codes with you guys because he has benefited several times from deals that you guys have told me and I tell him. He's a member of sd. He joined back when I did but he doesn't hardly ever post. Maybe I'll be able to convince him to come on here and say hi lol I know we can only have one pimp and I wouldn't want to upset the balance, so I wouldn't encourage him to come on too frequently Smilie Actually, he's very busy with work and raising 4 kids on his own so he doesn't have much time to read and figure out the deals himself. But if you tell him what to look for or get, he's more then willing to go out there and do it! AND as you can see, he's happy to share. BTW, he was the one opening up the sf emails for me a few months back with his droid.
Go Craig!! What a guy. Thanks

Dh and I are both getting sore throats. Dh napped this afternoon. I sure hope whatever we're feeling doesn't turn into the 10-day crappiness that the babe had. Selfishly for me, since I can't take any wonderful cold meds. Praying this one skips us over.
Hope you are spared.

Wave morning. I've been Reading this thread since Thanksgiving and already know Ariel and Rachael from the TCC

It must be perspective. . . I'm single and ya'll are busy moms. I personally think it's overrated, as no one has been at the house with me for over a year (2009 Thanksgiving was the last time I had guests). Tumbleweed at tn's house.
Wave You aren't too far to visit my house and vice versa.

I drug M2C over here too laugh out loud We're a growing family heart

Do you take any pics? Not that that is a requirement but we do talk a lot about pictures and photo gifts. Otherwise we are a catch-all for good deals across SD and we are a bunch of lovers, so welcome, come on in, and stay a while. hug

Ok so I did my diaper tally as of right now and here is what I have so far (BTW~ This is not all from amazon, LOTS of it is actually from T or other deals for the last year or 2 that I have saved bc I knew we were gonna have another):
  • Newborn: 216
  • Size 1: 440
  • Size 2: 708
  • Size 2-3: 210
  • Size 3: 798
  • Size 4: 875
  • Size 5: 127 (I have 600 more on the way, should get here Tuesday)
  • Size 6: 100
  • Wipes: about 3000

These are individual diapers, not packages. I think I need more size 1 and wipes and then obviously the bigger sizes (5,6, pull ups). What do you all think?
Here's the list you lost that shows how many you are supposed to have (according to whoever said it LOL):

  • Newborn: 2-3 packs
  • Size 1: 600-700
  • Size 2: 630-756
  • Size 3: 1260-1368
  • Size 4: 1085-1178
  • Size 5: 1350
  • Size 6: PRN
  • Wipes: a lot

You my dear, are absolutely wonderful! Cat sent me a $10 off! Yahoo! Isn't she fabulous? All signs point to yes.
Yes, yes she is heart

Did my final diaper orders from amazon with the only codes I had left. I ordered a bunch of Luvs, but don't have a lot of experience with those. Do any of you use them? The babe is wearing them now, but not at night. We still have huggies to use. But I'm curious about when they are smaller, how they work.

I used to love pampers, but since they switched to drymax, I hate them (and I'm not brand loyal at all for dipes). They always feel damp on the outside. So I didn't really want to order more of those. And a lot of the huggies were not subscribe and save. Hope I didn't shoot myself in the foot with Luvs. But I also know you can plan as much as you want, but every baby is different.

Still going to keep code hunting, but at least I have a start in the diaper department. Except newborns, guess I didn't think to get any of those.

jd, congrats on the cruise. I will live vicariously through you.

So glad we have tomorrow off. I love long weekends. We have a lot of work to do if we want to get furniture moved around and the babe's new room painted, who knows if we'll get there or not. I'm taking her in tomorrow to get her pics done since her 2nd b-day is next week already. Last portrait session did not go well, hopefullly she does okay this time.

Thanks so much! I was looking for this exact list and couldn't find it! I even searched SD for it! laugh out loud Well I guess I now need more size 3's and 5's after the ordering I did last night! laugh out loud And I thought I was done! laugh out loud Oh well, thankful to have a deal to help with!

I used Luvs all the time before I found SD and the T diaper deals! I liked pampers, but the price was too much! I haven't had to use the new dry max, so I am hoping the new babe does ok with them.

I hope the pics go good tomorrow! I can't believe she is almost 2! heart

Happy Monday! We missed the snow and ice, but had rain. I hope everyone else gets dug out...but I could have used a snow day by myself at home today. My neck is out and I am going to have to go to the chiro today. The good thing is last time I felt like this I waited a week and now I know that he can help, so I hope the pain lasts a shorter time this year.

Wave morning.

I'm gonna have to get in on the diaper deals, as my nephew's wife is pregnant for the first time and I don't think she has a clue about how many diapers a baby can go thru (I'm clueless, as I WAS the baby in our family and it was cloth dipes back then).

Scratchchin my only issue might be sizes, as Nephew was the second largest baby born at his hospital when he was born (14 lbs, 13 oz), so I think newborn and 1s are probably out? I know there is no guarantee this child will be that big.

$1 coins? Wouldn't that make the male dancer's thong kind of heavy? EEK!

A nearly 15 pound baby?! Please tell me that poor woman had a c-section!? EEK! Holy crap, I have so much respect for her. That is nearly double the weight of my kids, and it really hurt! I would definitely start on size 2's for new baby, just to be safe. Even if the baby is smaller, she'll use the 2's later!

Disneyworld is much nicer...nod
I just sent you an email with dates- I hope you'll be around for the boys to see their Baci, and for you to meet your new baby girl in October! We're just waiting for them to offer that incredible free meal program again this year (they started offering it in Jul;y last year) and then we'll lock in our dates and reserve our room. I was totally against going to Disney with a newborn and two kids under 6, but dh said that when work really sucks and he feels overwhelmed, he thinks about vacation and that gets him through it. How can I say no to that! What I may do is have dh go to the parks with the boys and maybe Kootzie and I can snuggle the baby around the pool! bounce There will be lots of ta-ta pics! Wink

hope furgril is going better today. hug

Not a C-section. In the middle of the night, one pain, her water broke and in 2 hours he was here. Gravity. The next one was 5 lbs 2 oz and she was in labor for over 46 hours. Scratchhead seems like the second one would have just fallen out and not given her any trouble, as they are 20 months apart.

i only used brand names like Huggies and Pampers when the boys were infants (Pampers only for J, thanks to T Wink) but I've found out with my boys that as soon as they hit size 4, it doesn't matter what brand I use. I'm out of size 5 Pampers for J, so I've used Luvs, and Kroger and Publix generic, and they all work just fine. My favorite are Huggies if I could choose, and especially huggies overnights for nap and bedtime.
