ummm, could be several things:

ovulation
kidney infection
kidney stones
appendicitis
pressure points from an old bed/broken spring in mattress
soreness from lifting heavy things or doing some excercise OMG you haven't done before Big Grin

did you try heat? like a thermacare patch or a hot water bag?

Just wanted to pipe in about good books/series. Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series is very good. He died in 2007 and Brandon Sanderson took over from outlines, but is still worth reading. Currently 12 books long. Also Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series is good, but can be preachy at times. Not religious preachy, just the "people must live free or die trying" sort of thing. It is nothing like the Legend of the Seeker show that was out a while ago, that was loosely based on the books. And I guess I'll be the unpopular one and say that I didn't care for Twilight. I just prefer vampires that don't sparkle. I did like the Vampire Diaries when I was in high school though. Please don't beat me or make me drink decaf...

Well - yeah, I guess it does. *laugh*

Does he use it? I'm wondering how much use I'd really get out of one.

I wish I hadn't killed my KA mixer making bread dough... guess I should check out what it would cost to get fixed. Frown

Your pizza sounds fantastic!

hug I am so sorry you are still in pain. I wish there was something I could do.

That sounds a lot like some pain that I get. My doctor had said it was probably my back. I do notice that it comes on and gets worse if I've spent much time lifting my toddler. It's excruciating. hug

I didn't even read twilight and they still tolerate me around here - barely, but they still do... Big Grin

I got mine off ebay for like $200 but my FIL is a meat cutter for 2 different restaurants, and the owners are freaking crazy and didn't want to use the 'chains' for ground beef so he started to take it home and we would grind up 5 - 10 lbs of meat like evry other day until we filled 3 freezers then just quit for a while. If it weren't for his job, we would never have a need for it though. We are not hunters - in the gun sense, so no animals just laying around that need to be chopped up. I SO would NOT be worth it if I had to buy meat to grind. It is a lot of work and even more clean up!

Eeeek m2c I really hope it isn't a kidney stone for your sake.....when I had one the pain came on suddenly and badly....then when it passed the pain went away almost as suddenly and quickly. Worst pain ever though. Hope that is NOT what you are dealing with! hug

GG mentioned ovulation....I've had an ovarian cyst that eventually had to be removed (this was over 5 yrs. ago.) By the time they finally agreed to remove it it was golf-ball size. That was quite painful too.

Hope you get to feeling better today!!! Comfort

Happy sunshiny morning! Actually, here it was a moonshiny morning. About 6:30 I looked out and there was a huge, super bright full moon. Brightest, prettiest morning moon I have ever seen.

Have you heard if HyVee has them? I didn't stop this week, will check next time. We usually get some kind of Super Bowl coupon recipe booklet.

I bought a cute little jug of salad dressing from Olive Garden for my daughter (she loves their dressing) for Christmas. She was with us, had to smuggle this thing out in hubby's coat and try to hide it in the van. Stuck it in the closet and forgot it. Don't do Santa anymore so I don't have a check list. I always kept a little list of everything as I bought it.

And for the record - I am not doing well in the diet department. Dinner was baked potatoes with sour cream, butter, cheese and chili.
Can I smell your breath?

I have one that is part of my Oster Kitchen Center. Yes, I like it. I don't use it a lot but I do use it every now and then to make mushy meat. To normal people that would be bologna salad -- ground bologna, Miracle Whip, pickle relish. I have also used it to make turkey salad. Can't think of much else I have used it for.

Readers, Books, Series -- If you want light hilarious reading and haven't tried her, give Janet Evanovich a look. She has a few little romance novels from way back but she is best know for her Stephanie Plum series. Starts with One for the Money and goes through Sizzling Sixteen, so far. Don't read them in public. You will laugh out loud and probably snort. If you do read them, do you know that they are making a One for the Money movie?

Has anybody read Tori Carrington's Sofie Metropolis series? It's supposed to be humorous also and similar to Evanovich. The library has ordered them for me, but I haven't read any yet.

Not sure what I am going to do today. Maybe get started on the basement. Tomorrow DD works all day and DH will be out of town tomorrow night, so I am digging in tomorrow for sure. Won't have to stop to fix supper or having anyone griping about how loud the stereo is. The harder I work, the louder the music. bounce

Gotta start by moving the lumber and insulation that we have stashed in my son's room (he doesn't live here) out of there so I don't trap them. Then, I am going to clean the basement, weed out crap (again), and move everything that we are using/saving (some furniture and a few odds and end that I have no idea what to do with) into son's room so that the last unfinished part of the basement is empty -- except for neatly arranged building materials and tools. We have one room left to build down there -- family room. Two bedrooms and a bathroom are done. It's time to get reorganized and back to it.

Been sticking to the diet this week. Last night I managed to eat broccoli without gagging. I need to get off my butt right now and fix some breakfast. I know I am supposed to eat breakfast, but I have a tendency to not think about it or not want it. If I could have a nice bowl of cereal and some toast drool, sure. But eggs aren't my favorite thing so I have to be up a while before I can even think about them.

I need some Hormel chili with no beans. Fairly low carb meal I like -- cut up a couple wieners, put some chili on top, heat it up, chopped onion on top. Lots of flavor not a lot of carbs. I get 3 or 4 meals out of a can. Gotta watch the wieners and make sure ya get the ones with just one carb each, some have more than others.

My DH used it a lot at the beginning, not so much since then. He has the KA mixer attachment so its fairly easy to use, but kinda gross to watch being used. He makes "gourmet hamburger" blends and sausage. As Dazzle said, since, we buy the meat to grind it does not necessarily save us money. He does it more as a treat since he gets a little tired of the cheap stuff I buy that's reduced to sell/short dated. laugh out loud

So, I guess I'd say it's kind of like our waffle iron, we don't use it everyday or even every month, but when we do, it sure is nice having it around.

Yeah, it is funny how people's tastes are so different. I know you mentioned not liking chicken.. and eggs aren't your favorite. I would really struggle staying on plan, cause chicken is a daily staple food for me Smilie As far as breakfast goes.. have a nice slice of bacon and just skip the eggs drool I love bacon!! Actually I love sausage too.. and I like eggs, but I do get tired of the same thing.. so, sometimes I make omelets,or deviled eggs.. or sometimes, like today, breakfast is just a few sunflower seeds and some cheese along with a big cup of coffee!
I like hotdogs every now and then. I was just telling DH last night that I needed to get some cause I haven't had any in a long time. You are making me crave chili dogs now.. If I remember correctly, the OM hotdogs are one of the lower carb count ones right??

SlickCate --- if there's anything you are looking to try let me know and I'll see if I have it --- otherwise it will be a surprise Smilie

l2b....that is funny on the hotdogs....dh and I were just talking about how we have quite a few in the freezer to use and how we never eat them anymore because of diets Roll

Just funny how one person's 'diet' food can be another's non-diet food LMAO

Hmmm, why would chicken make you struggle to stay on plan? Isn't chicken encouraged on just about any diet? One advantage to low carb, meat is a free for all. I actually have bacon cooking right now. I do make deviled eggs sometimes. Thanks for the reminder, I don't often think of it, and that sounds good. I need to match a batch of the fake rolls. 1/2 carb each and they are pretty decent. It's at least something to put butter on or to use as a bun or to make a sandwich other than a wrap. Fewer carbs too.

Yes, OM hot dogs are one carb -- at least most of them. Most of the cheaper brands have ~ 3 each. Have you tried the XXL Hot Dogs? They are expensive but they are really good. The cheapest I have ever seen them is on sale for $2.50.

I had the one on my Oster too... it was the biggest waste of time and money Evvvver! DD has the attachment to the KA and loves it. Her DH makes all sorts of gourmet blends with it. Wish they lived closer! (for a whole lot of reasons.) Me, now I use my grandmother's old cast iron one when ever I have the urge. I think it out cranks any of the new attachments they have on the market now. Much easier to clean to. You can pick them up at auctions usually for a dollar. Or offer to buy it from someones box of junk at auctions.
