yes, i saw last wed. went to king of prussia for first time to see free preview of *no strings attached* and then had dinner at legal seafood. took us a little over an hr to get there so that will always be a special trip b/c dh hates shopping and bff hates going any further than she possibly has to.

i'm about 20 minutes over the border. sorry to be vague here but i know my area has tons of sd lurkers who never, ever post and a few that do in the various threads i follow. they are all relative newbies and i cannot do anymore handholding than what i have right now, esp b/c i'm a little po'd at most of them. so i need to be Ninja! i will pm my location if you ever head out this way so we can partay! you don't have to be going all the way. i think meeting somewhere in the middle would be less than an hr for each of us. if you ever go to sesame place it's probably closer to me. that might be a great place for meeshe and the kids if she comes down this way.

i will drive further by myself periodically. there are no good malls near me. closest good malls are half hr, nicer ones 45 minutes to an hr. outlets are 45 minutes but the new and better one is 1hr. don't like franklin mills. good targets are half hr away.

i think split pea soup uses ham bone or ham hocks. i've never made it but like to eat it when it's on the menu. good comfort food for this weather and not spicy at all. i'm sure there are also lentil soups that use ham bone. looks like ham goes good w/ bean soups and potato soups. probably adds salt to keep it from being too bland.

Gator, are you near Orlando or Tampa...So by next yr there will be you, meesh and I think QQ is also near Tampa...Sounds nice for a getto in Orlando...

M2C - Are you talking about jedis at SJ store..I can PM you the list of my jedis at that store...
I'm all about a meet up. Just say the time. I'm going to send you a PM in a sec. There was a cashier there today who I thought had potential, but I had the whole family with me so I wasn't really interested in trying a test run.

Speaking of potty training... my 14 month old will now run into the bathroom with anyone who has to go yelling "potty, potty". She then does this really funny squat thing (I have no idea if she's actually going at that time) and she then pulls off a little piece of toilet paper and pretends to wipe herself and throws it in the toilet and starts clapping. Does anyone else think this is freakishly early to start being interested in the bathroom??? DS wasn't even interested in the potty until he was 3.

Your DS didn't have someone to follow after or mimic (except you and your DH). Your DD has Cole to observe, so I think she can train faster.

Just like with walking, a friend whos DS didn't start walking until 19 month old first child, but her next child that is 2 years behind the other was started at 9 months (as they wanted to keep up with older sibling).

Remember I don't have kids and have never been around kids. This is just a theory laugh out loud

I'm sure you're right about the mimicking thing. I also think she's a smartie, but I'm pretty sure she's going to use her brains for evil and not for good.

I told DH this other day when she did her little "potty, potty" thing that she would be easy to potty train, but then she's probably going to poop on my floor just to spite me. She's a naughty little monkey. Teehee

Sooooo... I see a whole mess of new TQs up. I hope some of them are fun to use. Wink

I think it's awesome that she's interested/excited about it so early, let alone excited about it at all! In my family, we're trying to potty train a 2.5 yr. old girl. She's not amused the slightest bit by the potty. LMAO Actually she loves having her diaper changed. So, we're hopeful and trying to encourage her with her new pink potty but not really pushing it too hard at this point.

Regarding the TQs, yes maam there are a bunch of new ones! There's another list from jujuli HERE and she's already got 'em in the BOX! Whee

Hmm... my mama told my brother time about is fair play, which to her meant, you caused me grief, now it's time for yours to cause YOU grief.

Were you a compliant child (an angel) growing up, or more like what you think Kiley will be (that pushes the limits daily)? Is Cole a compliant child? If so, good thing he was first.

My SIL tells me it's a good thing she had no idea she was pregnant with her third child, as the second one tested (and still tests) every nerve in her body every day. Third child made up for it.

Yep. I already printed a bunch. I wonder if that .75 Planters will be beepless on the .99 packs. Nice filler if it is.

Cole was a REALLY difficult baby, but a great kid. Kiley is exactly the opposite. And really she's not that bad, but she keeps me on my toes WAY more than he ever did.

My girls were trained by 18 months, they just didn't like diapers and trained so easily. My boys are 3 and are just now getting day-time trained. Night is another story. I've always heard girls are easier to potty train, and with an older brother to show her what to do, she'll probably be ready before long. Smilie

i've heard people say back when we were toilet trained, it was around one yr old and lots of older folk just shake their heads that kids are still toilet training at 3.

i know they used to not have size 6 diapers around 10-15 yrs ago but started making them b/c lots of moms were going back to work, didn't have time and kids were getting toilet trained later. also babies were being born bigger too. 6-7lbs and 8lbs was huge. now there's lots of 8lb babies.

that's what they were saying about my cousin's daughter, that she was 3 yrs old and still not potty trained b/c her mom was working. but it all works out in the end. i think she's in college now or recently graduated Stick Out Tongue.

Thats the funniest sh-t ever... people are so weird... there was an Italian couple behind me the one day and the guy and his wife were bickering... I attempted to get "rid" of them to another checkout... but no.. they stay bickering and watching the total go lower and lower... and the guy looks @ me and says wow!! You saved a lot... turns to his wife and tells her she is pretty, smart and knows how to save money... maybe I should trade you in for a new model!?! WTF!?! I hurried my arse out of there lol
lol! Next time he is on the prowel he will be adding 'she coupons' to his quality list. Now that I think about it I have had a few men in line behind me now and then look at me wistfully and make some comment or another about how they wish their wife would coupon or know how to save money like me or wish I could give their wife a coupon lesson. Embarrassment

I sometimes get hives from the cold. I used to tell people I was allergic to the cold - but they thought I was being silly - so I quite telling them. As long as I am in the cold I am fine - but when I go inside and start getting warm - itch city!!! especially my legs. Also if I use an ice pack for something - the part of my body I used the ice on gets itchy. The doctor told me to take benadryl BEFORE I go out in the cold.
So it could be something besides the body wash... but sounds like the body wash is the number one culprit.
My sister gets crazy hives all over with stress. The first time it happened was when she was going through her divorce. Now it happens now and again when she is way to stressed out. Crazy how those hives are, and my neck was covered in them yesterday. They didn't itch though so I didn't know and DH was like " OMG what happened to your neck!?!?!?" I guess the heated rice pack that I keep putting on my neck and the swollen gland is giving my hives. But it sure helps the gland to stop hurting.

We want to ;eave this crap-hole country bumkin town in NC and go to the Pheonix AZ area, I have been looking at houses in Maricopa where Bristol Palin just bought a house. They we hit hard in the house bubble burst and there are ton of big houses going form half of what we paid for this house here. I did a little looking and DH could get a job at the statring salary only 5k less with better bonuses and benifits and we would have 1/2 the house payment. My goal is to have the house on the market come March and move after this schoool year but before the next school year.

Are you going to have to sell? This is our 1st home, and will be our first sale.
I LOVE the Phoenix are too. I have some family that lives in Sedona and it is so beautiful!!! I think you should move there! bounce We were there one year and it snowed just outside the city all over the desert which is very rare for it to snow in Phoenix. We were on our way out of town and thought there was a wreck or something at first because the whole freeway was lined with cars but people were just going out for the snow, THOUSANDS of them mile after mile. It was hilarious! And most of them in just t-shirts no jackets since it wasn't that cold. And they were taking their pitifull snowmen full of sticks and tumbleweed home with them too! We saw car after car with little snowmans leaning against the windshields and laying on the trunk against the back window. We all were laughing so hard at all the funny snowpeople people had made to take home tumbleweed arms and cacti noses Roll

After a week away from SD, I've returned to find lots of retired threads, new avatars, etc. Feeling a little lost... things sure move quickly here!

I've been too ill to do anything for days... no reading the thread, just sleeping. I'm still pretty sick so I don't think I'm going to try to play catchup this time, my apologies. : : I just wanted to say hi to all the TCC peeps! I've missed the thread and hope you're all doing well! :blowki ss:

Also, I have a little bit of good news... there are several new coupons available to print today! Here is the list of new coupons.
Wave The sicky sick has been going around with fierceness! Hope you feel better soon. Woohoo new coupons!!

I miss it terribly! I can't wait till we move back to the warmness. We used to live about a hour and a half from Vegas, can't wait to get back!!

About PT - Pull-ups, training the kids in the small potty never worked for me..They used their potty as a stool for watching videos, reading books...They actually used it as a potty after they were trained...I let them arnd the house naked and they always told me when they needed to go...After they got that down we moved to underwear and I would take care to keep asking them if needed to go....And yes, DS too started sitting backwards in the potty....
Nikayla, if your DS is too small for the actual potty, you can try putting a potty ring on top...That might help....

Is there a Rx cpn in this week's ad?

Anyone not using $5 zantac cpns from today's paper..I would love to trade...I keep these on hand for DH...
Oh yeah I keep forgetting to get a potty ring. They are not on the clearance endcaps lol. I really like the idea of having him stand backwards on the potty.
You guys all have awesome advice for boys, my DDs were so stinking easy.

That is about the time my oldest DD got interested too and she was totally done and trained at 20 months! Well on her little potty, it took her a little while to work up to the big one but she was amazing! One nightime pee accident and that was all. She never looked back.

I think that theory is very true, my 2nd DD learned a LOT of things quicker because she had her older sister to teach her.
