I had a nice little run tonight at T - no shenanigans, just plain ol' good deals. One thing that interested me (and maybe its old news!) is that the Garnier MQ, even though it starts with a "0", did not beep! After convincing the cashier after each Maalox MQ beeped that I did indeed have the appropriate amount of bottles to coupons, it was a relief to have those go through without a problem.

Ank, do you still need Ensure Qs? I got a whole bunch today and I can send them to you if you need them.

I just got done with an order tonite. I posted on FB that it felt like old times again. I got 163 prints (needed em for in laws), 2 sheets of stickers valentine's day themed to stick on all the kid valentines instead of trying to write their names on them all, 17 invites for DS#2 birthday in March, 5 5x7s and used new acct free 50 prints and 10 target pick up prints, code for 75 free prints, free ship w/ SHIP25, one free card w/ CARD4U, a code for 10 free cards, 20% off, and a embed/link code for $25 off TOTAL...... .19c on my AmEx and I get to charge my FIL .15c a print Teehee

hug thinking of you and your family.

Garnier tou-pon and product barcide match perfectly so no beeps. It's just when there's and extra or dropped off 0 on one or the other that T's POS doesn't recognize a product match.

Let's blame it on the post holidays and getting back into a routine.. 2 pounds lost is better than 2 gained Wink

You can do it!! 20 pounds lighter by bathing suit time woot

I do know what you mean about paying though. Back when I used to go to WW, I hated to pay the money and get on the scales and not lose anything.. or lose .1 Funny thing is, I never minded paying on the weeks I lost 5 pounds laugh out loud

Folks at work have been talking about weight loss all day.. They went to a conference over the weekend and heard one of our docs praising the lap band.. now they all want it.. And most of them only could stand to lose 20 pounds or so.. They were saying that the doc said the lap band is one of the only things that will help you with long term weight loss and keeping it off shake head I have seen *many* people regain weight after those too. You gotta relearn your eating habits.. And of course he is gonna say that.. He wants your money Smilie

I actually started WW right before New Years. I knew that if I didn't that I could easily gain a ton of weight just during that weekend. I have got to get hardcore about it now though. I am sure that I can easily lose 2 to 3 pounds in the first couple weeks of "being good" as long as I stay on track. Social situations are so difficult for me.

Thanks, Thrift, for clearing that up. Here I was under the assumption that all zeroes beeped. laugh out loud

Would anyone care to trade a couple French's Spicy Brown mustard mqs? Apparently my inserts don't have that one in any denomination, let alone $1/1! Didn't realize that was a regional q. Anyway, if anyone would care to trade, I would be super grateful.

Oh, and cathi, I keep forgetting to tell you, I got your envie!! Thanks SO much! I've already used some of the coupons, and hubby is very thankful. nod

thismom4deals - Thanks so much for the K-cup train, my box arrived today! That was fast shipping, I kind of figured they would arrive today and sure enough they did. I only had a few of the varieties you sent, and am anxious to try so many of them! I love that you included some Wolfgang Puck that I don't have. I have the breakfast blend by him and that is a good one.

*snip*
woot Glad you liked them!! On Friday when I took it to the PO the postmaster said he thought it'd get there Monday and I was kind of doubting that but I guess he knew his stuff!!

I've had issues with the Ortega mq as well. It always beeps coupon not accepted at Giant, and it's because like flugette said the products have various bar codes. I like their taco seasoning so much more than Old El Paso.

*snip*
You know, come to think of it the chicken taco meat I did in the crockpot today DID taste better and I made it with Ortega seasoning for the first time. We usually have OEP too. Scratchhead Hmmmmmmm....

Roll

I just need to get around to getting "Merry Christmas" out of my siggy Coverlaugh

Here is my list from today; I have no clue what would have triggered it....

mp granola bars, mp chickadees crackers, OM fully cooked bacon, French's spicy brown mustard, Ortega seasoning and hard shells, Kikkoman soy sauce, Kraft parm cheese, Jell-O, mp eggs, dannon 32 oz. yogurt, stonyfield yobaby yogurt, country crock, halls cough drops, Reynolds parchment paper, Goodlife cat food trays, a table cloth and treat bags for my dd's bday, Kraft singles....

Dontknow Mostly just general grocery stuff....unless it was the TS3 tablecloth & goodie/favor bags.....I dunno. I really think most of those are completely random but that maybe you'd be more likely to get one during x-y dates....maybe they have a promo period or something where every xxth customer gets one or something?

Teehee That sounds like me Hide

Can't stand to 'diet,' don't like water, won't give up my favorites: bread and pasta.....and still losting weight Big Grin

The reason that I first switched was that I actually looked up the ingredients in the taco seasoning. The preservative in the Old El Paso stuff is ethoxyquin, which has questionable safety. Ortega doesn't use this preservative, instead using sulfites (which are bad too).

Small world - me too!

I agree with slowtech about folks who need insurance tend to go without or go under insured. That is one thing that I told DH we HAD to have when we got married (I already had a policy, he did not) and that we would ALWAYS pay. I've seen too many young moms and/or dads that have had to struggle when left behind to care for little ones.

ok, you guys, i'm going to bed with my hot water bag and pain meds: the pain's been full scale bad for hours and i am exhausted and teary.
I hope you feel better. Thank you for all that information.

I actually got several of the good papers today. Yay! Ran a couple errands and managed to spend $100+ at the grocery store.
Never heard of goodie bags - that sounds interesting. I went to the asian market and got sucked in by their produce and some coconut milk!

I can't remember if I posted earlier or intended to, but DH's grandma has to have surgery tomorrow at 3 for the bleeding in the brain. It's one of those things where she's in trouble either way, but not having it puts her at an even higher risk of stroke.

My dh is a surgeon who does the lapband. I hear about it ad-nauseum day after day. People can gain weight after the band, after gastric bypass, after pretty much anything. The surgery is only a tool in their arsenal in their fight against weight loss. A tool you don't want to use unless you've tried everything else. It doesn't come without consequences. But, after hearing all the pros and cons - if I had to choose between the bypass or band - I'd go with the band. Weight loss isn't as fast, or often as much, but it seems to come with less complications. And, honestly most people no matter which surgery they choose do pretty good. You do have to relearn eating habits though - that is the tough part people want to avoid by just getting surgery. Anyway...here's to great programs like WW!nod
