Yep. And we're going to take a nice family vacation this year. We're going to Boston as a family at the end of May and then DH and I are going to Vegas (BY OURSELVES) in June for our 10th anniversary. That refund will go to good use! Whee
DH is going for an IBM conference to Vegas in April..He wants me to come but I am doubtful..I mean I cannot go to the casinos with the kids, all that I would be doing while he is busy, would be entertaining the kids...I wish I can leave them somewhere for a few days..

I would absolutely, positively, not even consider taking kids to Vegas. Ever.

Those free doughnut cpn books were being handed over at KK last week...I got 2 if you want I can send you 1 book..I think it has 8-10 cpns for free doughnut..exp 3-15..

We went to 5th element, indian rest on baymeadows...T was fine tried a new cashier, she was a champ scanning the cpns, but then she noticed the expired degree cpn and politely handed it back (after having scanned 4)...so she handed me back 2 remaining degree and uhm uhm cough cough ...

Really? I was thinking about celebrating my 30th Bday there next year, and since the new baby will be less than a year old, I was thinking of bring all the kids with us and just flying down Momma Junie and have her watch the kids there instead of at home. I haven't done too much as far as planning, but I was thinking it would work. Maybe I need to work on this plan a little more! laugh out loud

We were there a few years ago (childless) and I would say that it was one of the most family un-friendly places I had ever visited. Maybe others have had a different experience, but I would leave the kids at home if you can.

I got a crap ton of hangtags at the beach store this week. Maybe I'll stop by tomorrow. My sister and I are having dinner tomorrow not far from there. Hmmmm...

We went last summer childless (bc we always are childless in the summers) and it was a lot different for us as adults than it was when we went there as kids (we lived in SD and went often with our parents). I will NEVER go in summer months again! EVER! I was thinking of staying a circus circus. I know I had fun there as kid, then again, I haven't been to that hotel in over 15 years prob, so who knows. I guess it will be just as easy to leave the kids here and just pump and dump while I am there. It would be cheaper for Momma Junie to fly there, but then again I would save $$ on tickets for the kids and hotel if they stayed here. Hmmm decisions, decisions. laugh out loud

Oh L2B! I cried when I read your post. I am so sorry. I would be very upset if I found out about my grandma that way. It sounds like you have a wonderful family...hopefully you can become closer to your siblings because of it all. hug

L2BaM, I can relate about no parents or grandparents. I'm not married (never think I will be either) and have one brother (who has a slew of kids). If it's not him, there's no one. My relationship with my brother improved immensly when I moved from NoVa to Alabama. My relationship to my SIL was pretty much non-existent until I got her into couponing. That's what we always talk about now.

My Step-Sister's Step Dad (my Step-Dad's first wife's then current husband Huh my head hurts) died and didn't bother to tell anyone in our family. I found out by reading the Times Gazette.

Thanks guys hug

We used to be fairly close.. well, most of us atleast.. Always have had one sister who was kinda the black sheep and she wanders alot.. always working at a waffle house somewhere. and the oldest brother lives out of state.. There are 8 of us. I am the youngest and my oldest brother is 22 years older than me. I think my mom was the one who held us all together.. When she died, everyone kinda separated some.. I don't think it was intentional.. Just kinda like we all used to get together with each other and mom every so often.. even when you didn't want to, you knew mom expected it.LMAO After she died, it got to where the get togethers were less frequent and even on holidays, not everyone shows anymore.. My sister who just left lives in Wyoming and hasn't been home since Sept 2009 when her son got married.. She used to make sure she came atleast once a year or more, but not lately Sadwalk We actually bought the house we live in now because my sister and her DH moved into this neighborhood.. They built a house and while we were helping them paint, we found one here as well. It was so cool living a few houses down from her. We had dinner together atleast once a week, and always hung out together on the weekends playing cards and stuff.. Then, about 2 years later, they decided to move to WY Frown
