I have had the Active Workout for quite awhile. You will LOVE it. It is such a great workout! I especially like how you can pick the intensity (3 stages). I started when I got it on Light (that was about yr and half ago). I worked my way thru the 3 stages, doing the 6wk sessions. After about a year I upgraded to the Active2 and it is a very good workout. I started doing it on Moderate and just keep doing the 6wk session over and over. And I still have sore arms/legs sometimes. I did notice now they have the one with the new armband (heart monitor) type thing so that you dont have to use the nunchuck. I am going to research it and may pick it up this weekend.
Anyone that worksout at home will absolutely LOVE this! Such a great all-over workout.
Good luck and I hope you enjoy it.
Thanks for the good review! I actually got the active 2.. I saw a thread in HD yesterday where people were finding it on special right now at toys r us for 20.00 OMG not sure if it is a price mistake or what, but people everywhere were getting it for that.. Normally 99.00, but is supposed to be 40.00 off. They say it is wringing up as 59.00, but when the total key is punched the price drops to 19.99.. We may go grab another one! I will look for the link for ya! Here it is. A great deal.. Mine came with the heart rate monitor and resistance band. We got it for the xbox.. but for that price DH said we may pick up one for the other systems and see which one is better.

I need your thoughts!EEK! Last week when we had all the snow and before I had the driveway plowed, my BFF sent home 2 salmon steaks her Mr had caught last summer and I apparently dropped them going in the back door because my hands were so full (was carrying as much as I could because I couldn't get in the drive and had to park on the street and wade through the thigh high snow to get to the door.) Anyway, long story short, I forgot them and then they got buried under snow. Yesterday, with the melt I saw them but still couldn't get them out of the snow. This morning I could but they have defrosted. Question is, do you think they are still safe to eat... they've been frozen most of the time and very cold the rest of the time. And I really hate to throw away2 steaks!FrownFrownFrown

OMG..Thank You. That is the one that we have been wanting to get. The nunchuck/wiimote cord will about hang you with the older active game LOL. Especially with those squat and reach excersises. My TRU is about 45 min away but IS right across from Target! I think I will go try to get one.

morning!

l2b- you were too nice yesterday in deals. i had half a mind to mod-alert it, it was just so wrong on so many levels. i really considered it for a couple seconds. i also considered saying something similar to you, but i was afraid to be too blatant about it.

i was trying to be subtle but i know that person wouldn't get it b/c their thinking started from a totally opposite position. i also think that person just wants to buy the one thing and only the one thing, instead of incorporating it into a run and afraid any advice would all just fall on deaf ears b/c their core thinking was just so wrong.

how can you have couponed for 2 years and still not understand the hows and whys of couponing? that person was not a newbie at all.

would have been way too much effort to re-educate them and really wanted to say yes, you are wrong, and blast away. too bad there was a successful s&g'er posting at the same time. i just had to say something. i just could not resist. b/c i toned it down so much, it ended up being way to vague for that person to get it.

Well, I was trying to be helpful and get the person to just accept the info rather than keep posting about it Wink
I think it is possible for some people to have been couponing awhile and still not get all of the ins and outs.. I have taught about 10 people from church now, and they still call and ask me questions all the time.. Overage is a very difficult concept for many of them to get. Typically it comes into play when I am helping them work target or publix deals. Many of them can't seem to wrap their mind around the fact that they won't get money back, but can get it to apply to other things in the order.
I felt like the poster couldn't seem to understand that moderation is more the key in these type of things..I do agree with what the OP said.. If target is gonna get 1.50 for each of those coupons, I should too.. Therefore, if they won't accept mine for full amount, then I keep them and try again. When I have been refused at publix before, they have let me get multiples of the item.. Like when the poster said they wanted to get 2 cans of food for each coupon so that the price wouldn't exceed the coupon value.. I have been allowed to do that many times. So, while the post was a touch aggravating, and did seem like they needed a lesson on using coupons in smaller numbers and more ninja style, I did understand some of the frustration, and have dealt with alot of the same questions/issues with other people I have taught Smilie

I have had my coffee this morning and am ready for another, but think I should go to water instead laugh out loud DH took today off so we could hang out together for Valentines day heart I love that man!!

Have to ask: Meesh, did you spend $700 after coupons or before? That is crazy expensive and methinks it would be worth it to drive to ST if you need that much stuff!! OMG

Hope everyone has a nice Valentine's Day! Of course DH is working as today is probably the busiest day at his restaurant besides Mother's Day. So hopefully we will get to do something mid-week.

2 STFC runs in back to back days. Probably need to take a day or two off...Can't think of anything special I bought to share...got a couple GCs for the Puffs deal.

Also, in case you all didnt know, there was a new Rx coupon in yesterday's ad.

I would say they are ok if you eat them today and cook them until AT LEAST medium, if not well. I can't tell you how many times we have used snow as a freezer. Coverlaugh

Thanks! I cooked them both ( a little longer than I normally would have... they are definitely falling apart done) and they smell fine. Going to eat a portion of one of them for lunch and think I'll put the rest in the freezer now that they are cooked. Just hated to throw away 3+ pounds of salmonEEK!EEK!EEK!. I have too on the snow freezer, but was leary since this was fish. I routinely use snow to freeze extra cartons of milk during the winter if it's on sale for super cheap.

i think the problem is that almost all consumers see coupons as money, dollars and cents, while the manufacturers and retailers see them differently. what consumers do not realize is that there is a certain percentage of coupons that for whatever reason, stores do not get reimbursed for, thru fraudulent use or whatever. for instance, every day some newbie xeroxes bricks and/or smartsource coupons and the store loses money. they have to eat those losses.

same for manufacturers. they cannot check that each and every coupon they reimburse is for the correct item, that the item was even actually sold. i can tell you for a fact that there are retailers out there that just cut out coupons and turn them in for reimbursement w/o having sold anything for that coupon. so the penalty can be severe to prevent it. i heard 3rd-hand a mom and pop store was fined millions of dollars for coupon fraud a few yrs ago. mfr's do periodic audits where retailers have to show their invoices that they actually bought the item from the manufacturer. basically spot-checking. that is how HP discovered target never, ever carried the paper for the 3.00mq a few years ago. but just think how many misused or fraudulent coupon go thru daily. so mfrs have losses too. unintentional overage would be a loss to them too.

i'm sure both retailers and mfr's have calculated a percentage loss for coupons and it's part of doing business. they probably also see that any incidental money from adjusting a coupon down just goes towards decreasing that loss from coupons that are rejected for redemption.

as for the 8 cents handling retailers get, believe me, they have to do a lot of work for those 8 cents. if it's done manually, somebody has to sit there and separate all the q's by amount, count them all, fill out the forms and mail it to the clearing house. believe me, i used to close cash registers and just counting money takes hours and hours. can you imagine sitting there separating all those little bits of paper that's all different sizes, some for .50/1, .50/2, .50/10 etc. somebody has to pay the clearinghouse to go thru all the coupons to make sure they are all valid and write out a check. if it's done electronically, the software costs lots and lots of money. programmers are not cheap at all, so that's why targets pos system is so screwy. equipment is very expensive.

so it's a difference in perception. the consumer sees it as my coupon is for 1.50, i should get 1.50 of product.

the retailer is seeing that they accepted say, for instance $3000.00 in q's in one day for one store. i'm sure supermarkets get way more than that daily. a certain percentage of them is going to be a total loss, not only from the the $ amt lost, also the labor involved in taking coupons, sending in the coupons, the labor involved to comply with audits to continue to accept coupons, etc. so all those coupons are not really worth 3000.00 to them. even at 1%, they've lost 30.00 plus the .08 handling fee for each coupon rejected. i'm sure they see that adjusting a few coupons down just helps make up for money they inevitably lose for accepting coupons in the first place. when they look at coupons, it is not worth the actual face amount to them. there is always some loss involved.

when margins are very, very slim you can see why some retailers just won't accept coupons at all, like dollar tree.

On the coupons/overage thing....I think some of these peeps get stuck on the fact of but, but, but.....Target is getting reimbursed for it all so why shouldn't I get the overage??

And that is technically a logical thought process BUT....it is Target's right to simply say that they are no longer going to accept mq's above the value of the item if it becomes that big of a pain for them. We don't want to see that happen....therefore we suck it up and if we get it fine, if we don't fine so that it doesn't go away Smilie

At some point you just realize the second part of that and move on but I can understand how it takes a bit to come to that point.

Oh good, glad you ended up cooking them Smilie Was gonna say considering the weather we've had that yeah they should be fine as long as you cooked them today....especially considering the temps. around these parts last week!!!

Lemon peppered them, made a cream reduction with dill weed, and yummmmm.... Maybe not all of it's going to go back into the freezer now. Might be supper too.

On another note, any of you ladies interested in th Food NetWork mag, here's a GREAT deal on it for $5.99 a year. You can order multiples as long as you do separate orders and Hearst will merge the orders so it's consecutive years and not several issues of the same mag each month. https://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=352645&t=2668677

I think most newbies (including one that is driving me crazy in my personal life. . . over 50 emails in 3 weeks) have watched the TLC show. The show revealed folks that got it for little to nothing and 100 at a time, so why shouldn't they get that too. I also think newbies read and drool over the Show off your Stockpile thread, which to me, does nothing but encourage S&Gers.

My overage at Publix with the Cheerios was a woot as it paid for part of the Barber chicken, but I wasn't expecting it. I just bought the Barber in order to get a rain check to wait on the Qs on the 27th (according to their website).

I had a BOGO rain check for four and two $1.25/1 Cinnamon Burst Cheerios IPs and one $1/2 MQ. The cheerios PQ is in the printable I said to save in my post today and ends on the 23rd.

eFelicity is Pray that Cheerios goes BOGO before that PQ ends, but today's sneak peek of the weekly ad shows that it won't.
