Now, I need a spy. This sale is supposedly March 18-19.... She knows who I am; she knows who my mom is because we shop together sometimes and I know she's seen us together. I could send DH but he would have no clue what I wanted him to look for

I have about 10 quart bottles of Windex Antibacterial All Purpose cleaner stuff. In the spring I might dump a bottle on my patio when I clean it and I do use it for windshield wiper fluid, but can't use it in the winter.

Oh, I understand we hashed and rehashed this SCer. Advice has been given from ordering what you want/need to getting out there and being the early bird that gets the worm. I just don't understand what having someone else other than you *spy* on them is going to do to help in this situation. Seems like a passive action if one wants to make it known that one is also a deal seeker.

IDK, I just read it as wanting some dirt for drama rather than an effort to rectify the situation.

Thrift - I think because this person has impacted her ability to shop and get any of the freebies or MM deals, she has taken to have to shop when or before the shelf clearer shops in order to get any. The point she's trying to make is to catch her in the act to let her know that there IS someone else /others who are trying to shop as well and that her shelf clearing impacts her and others (the shelf clearer thinks everyone loves her and her shopping habits)

And Thrifteh, it makes a huge impact on us when she clears the shelves. There are those of us that would like to partake in the deals as well, but within reason - none of this wipe out everything so that nobody else has a chance. While what she does may or may not be illegal depending on the situation, it certainly isn't considerate of others.

You are entitled to your opinion....

This is not an early-bird-gets-the-worm type of thing...you can be at the store at the same time as she is (and I already DO do this) and she WILL clear the entire shelf in front of you if she happens to get to it first. She sits at the stores waiting for them to open too. Some of this stuff is not able to be ordered anyway and even when it is I'm not sure that's the route I want to choose to go. If I am shopping Walgreens I am always there right when the doors open on Sundays. Even if it means cramming it into the whole rest of my Sunday morning routine.

I am an information-seeker....I like to have information so I can compile my own thoughts and opinions. I would like to send somebody to 'check it out' if for no other reason. Personally I don't think it's worth going and risking having some sort of confrontation, etc. when she knows who I am. The 'spy' thing was more of just a funny thing.... I don't know if it will help the situation or not....however, I like to have all the info.

FYI, I am NOT against having GS's and such....I've had one small one myself. What I am totally and utterly against is the constant shelf-clearing for resale. It isn't considerate and it does affect me and others. Therefore, since this all started I have been consistently compiling info. to know how to best deal with it and will continue to do so.





Exactly. And personally I don't think anyone should be getting concerned or whatever over my decision to send someone or not send someone....I mean geesh, it's open to the public. I'd just go myself if I thought I could without incident.....but this lady is and I'd rather not deal with THAT potential drama when there are other options.
