OKay fine, I wasn't at all motivated until your post and now I feel all competive. I am going to fire up to Keurig and start: dishes, laundry load #1, trash, floors, bathroom, laundry load #2, paint a second coat on the trim in DS#1's room, set up DS#1 new bed, laundry loads #3/#4 - boys linens, sweep and swiffer living room floor, fluff couch pillows, put linens back on boys beds, then add one more load of laundry and complete the day by fold said laundry loads x5. Then I will leave the house and go reserve DS#2's birthday party at the bowling alley and do a RA.

Good morning! I am starting the day with a computer that has gone crazy. A while bad my touch pad quit. The buttons still work. So, I bought a cheap little $8 USB mouse and killed it. Now I am using my wireless mouse from my desktop. Yeah, it's cute. The receiver is just laying on the floor next to chair, but hey, at least the mouse if free. Now all of a sudden this morning, anywhere you hover the mouse it's acting like you are clicking. Hover over a link, you are going there. Icon sitting in the reply box keeps highlighting everything and sometimes erasing it. I have taken the batteries out of the mouse and it still does it, so it's the computer, not the mouse. Do ya think it's time to send my computer in????? I extended my Dell warranty a couple weeks ago. I thought I would at least wait a little while before having a claim. Man... ya know what this means? It means if I want to use a computer I will have to go in the guest room to the old, slower, desk top. And my mom is going to be visiting next week and using the guest room. It's in an armoire and I don't really have anywhere else to put it at the moment. (It's going downstairs but that is under construction, so, it's stashed in the guest bedroom Used to be in the living room til we redid it.

I actually had 16 Finish coupons and got 14, it was all they had. Is this the second Finish Target coupon? Last time I went (A week or so back) I used all my $2.25 coupons and got the gel packs and the other ones that aren't Quantum. Both of the coupons I had yesterday specifically said Quantum. And I don't remember it giving overage and $2.25 + $1.50 would have.

No interesting clearance. Those Libby glasses are still $11.??. Don't want the wine glasses now, I got a set of 10 from the consignment store sale for just over $1. Still can't find any Maalox anywhere, except the liquid. Gotta check KMart. I guess, otherwise, I will just start getting the 35 count bottles rather than let the coupons expire.

Well, that's dandy. Either this crazy computer deleted part of my post or when I clicked to edit it happened and hit the save button all alone.

It's supposed to be about 55 today but may be very windy. Wind is good, it dries up the melting stuff so I won't complain. If it's not too bad, I may go out and do a little back yard cleaning. There are a bunch of papers and trash being revealed and more dog poop than you can imagine. Hmmm, I wonder where my pooper scooper is.

Hallelujah! I disabled the touch pad and it fixed it. Well, duh, it didn't fix it but it made it quite doing that crazy stuff and my mouse works correctly. Good, now I can wait til after Mom comes and goes before I send my laptop away.

Phooey.

So far today, I made breakfast, yelled at the kids, emailed DH at work, and went to the dentist. They want to yank one, fill one, and crown 2. Bah. $42 for the filling, so I scheduled that. $565 each for the crown - gonna wait on that. No clue on the yank - said I have to go to an oral surgeon so that just *sounds* expensive. Yuck.

On other notes...

DH had his annual review yesterday and got the highest marks possible in EVERY category. They said no one has ever done that before!! Whee They also told him it's not a matter of "if" he'll get a promotion, it's a matter of "when" - so it looks like they'll be promoting him when there's an opening. Yay!!

They did tell him that they'd like him to start dressing up more. The environment is very very laid back (i.e. there are folks that actually wear pj bottoms and t-shirts to work), and while DH isn't that extreme - he will wear jeans and polo's often.

He has a couple of nicer slacks, but shirts are really lacking right now. What he's had is stained or pretty worn. Does anyone know where the best deals are for nice shirts in an XLT - he definitely has to have the talls.

Nice! That totally beats me and my measly efforts. laugh out loud shake head So far, I have put a pork roast in the crockpot (carnitas for dinner! YUM!!!); set a load of laundry going; brought my son to school; loaded the dishwasher; and ... um ... OH, I got papers from the recycling center! Guess I better get my butt moving!

And ank, that is AWESOME about your hubby's job! Woohoo! Kohl's always has some nice shirts on clearance, and even Target has some sometimes. My hubby always has to wear khakis and long-sleeve button-down shirts, so his have come from thrift stores, Kohls, Target, and the occasional outlet find.

OK, back to cleaning!

Younker's has a decent selection of talls and they have some really good clearance. Right now all the yellow dot stuff is an extra 75% off the lowest price. Second hands stores are often good too -- especially if you have one that has bag sales or quarter days like some Salvation Army thrift stores. I think Wal-Mart even carries some talls now and I know Target does.

If he has pants in black, brown, gray, navy, and khaki, he has pants to go with just about any shirt you might buy. And that funny gray green color -- hubby had a pair in that color and I really liked them. They just looked nice. I don't know what it was about them.

I would reschedule too, but normally it takes FOREVER to get in. It's supposed to be for a cleaning but I imagine I'll get yelled at or something. I have 2 broken teeth now and I'm pretty sure there's a crack down the middle of another. *sigh* My teeth are horrible. Frown There is no way I can do crowns, root canals, yada yada... We'll see. Maybe I'll have them all yanked.
pls really try your best to keep as many teeth as possible. many people live well into their 80's and 90's and quality of life then is seriously affected by not having teeth. i worked at a dental office for 3 yrs while in college and seen it all.

dh's grandma is about 93 and i've been around her almost 20 yrs. she has all dentures and can only eat soft food. we go out to eat for pretty much most holidays and bdays and there is so much food on the table she just can't eat.

my dad is in his late 70's and has had a partial since he was pretty young b/c he ate too much candy growing up. he recently had to have a dental implant done.

you should always try to protect and preserve your teeth to the best of your ability.

regarding the yanking, if you shop around, you might be able to find a dentist who does extractions w/o knocking you out, just gas. will be cheaper. dentist i worked for in college did everything except ortho which his friend who rented his office on his off days did.

congrats to your dh on doing so well at work!

i second kohls too. dh likes the croft and barrows wrinkle free 100% cotton shirts although the material they use has gotten thinner over the yrs. dh wears XL which you can never find on clearance so we always look for lowest price of the season sale + 15% off coupon + kohls bucks which they offer a few days into the sale. actually, not much difference between sale prices and clearance prices sometimes and better selection. i know they come in XLT also b/c dh tried it on one time and too long.

we also like khakis from them too. dh would just buy dockers all the time but we've been experimenting w/ other brands. last pr we got at van heusen outlet in sept. he can't buy khaki's from the warehouse clubs. for some reason, the are 32's are shorter than the ones from macys, jcp and kohls and end up too short when you wash them.

gap khakis are very good quality but you must iron them unless they've finally come out w/ wrinkle free. otherwise they look very sloppy. sometimes you can get really lucky and find a cheap pair on the clearance rack esp internet returns. for my dh have to hem sometimes, but probably not your dh. never been lucky getting shirts at gap. bought from old navy once but they wore out pretty quick.

nowadays we always look for wrinkle free and preferably 100% cotton but dh will do blends for the shirts if he likes it.

you guys are shaming me into doing housework today!
