Oh, and just in case ya'll ever need to know, there's a thing called monster spray. The can is invisible so that the monsters can't see it, and it can conveniently lay under your pillow. Just take it out and spray it around the room - keeps those monsters away!

So I tried to buy a gift card on eBay. Won the auction, paid for it. Not a huge savings, but between urlhasbeenblocked rewards, ebay rewards, and the minor savings on the gc (covered tax and a wee bit more), I figured I was slightly ahead. Biggest purchase i think I've ever made on ebay.
Anyway, I get a message a day and a half later stating my payment was refunded and there's a temp hold because the $$ was transferred from/to my bank account.
The seller said it kept saying that the auction had ended without a winner and he had no clue what was going on. I do know on my end it kept telling me that I had to pay for the item on my "My eBay" page, and when I clicked on it, it said I had already paid...
Now I haven't heard back again from the seller after telling him what happened from my end and asking what I should do. But what do I do??
I don't see the charge or credit in my bank account at all. I do show on my paypal account the charge and then a refund and a note that there's a temp hold on my funds. Ebay is telling me I need to pay for the item too. I don't know what to do. It's so weird.

Also if your bank account is not showing anything..how long does your bank actually take to post items. I know that with our bank if we order something, it will show up, but only as a hold. It will then drop off and post a day or two later or when the order ships.

I haven't heard back from the seller, but I may wait a few more hours.
Normally, our account will do the same thing - have the transaction pending if it's done during the week - i.e. m-fri at 3ish... after that it doesn't show. So it was definitely paid for before that time - but isn't showing on my bank account online.
In paypal, my balance is 0.00. In activity, it shows both the payment and the refund, and under details it shows the payment, refund, note about the hold with no details as to how long.
Ugh. I hate that there is such a lack of detail.
My ebay shows that I won and owe for the auction, but the seller's first email said it did not show me as the winner. It's just messed up big time. And how do I dispute it in a way that doesn't get the seller in trouble? It's got to be an eBay glitch, right?
I'd contact paypal directly via phone on monday. That's weird but I've had crap happen with their site lagging that irritates the shiznit out of me.
Matter of fact, I had bought some toupons on there and a few days later the seller said that it was a mistake and he only had half of those coupons. So he adjusted it and refunded me the difference. However, he opened a dispute asking me to pay him back his ebay fees. Excuse me? It isn't my problem that you listed something you didn't have to begin with. It's YOUR responsibility to make sure it's accurate. Why should I refund YOUR ebay fees that you would have incurred regardless?

I have learned that there is no general rule for what to price at what. It all depends on your customer base. People here will buy anything if it is priced $1 or under even if I price it the same or more than the stores....Like Wags Ajax they had a few weeks ago 3 for $1 - used them as fillers and I sold all of them for .75 a piece
And whoever the woman was that intervened to suggest I go to "afullcup" to "learn the coupon ways," go fark yourself.
