Now time for Operation "Clip the Toupons" to commence. Sadwalk My least favorite part!
Crylol I know, I sent dh on that same operation earlier this morning. Hit 3 stores and Came home with 147 items. I actually bought a cooler in the store and dumped ice from the fountain drink machine into it. Coverlaugh also bought some freezer bags everyone who doesn't have the gc deal is raving about. Wink not.

Also got some jeans!! Found 9 pairs I really liked in my size. I gave a girl who was checking out the clearance jeans a tq and she acted pissed that disrupted her non-coupon shopping. Whatevs.

Couponers behind me in 2 stores. All in my biz. The cashier had to tell this one lady to back off twice, you know for the privacy of customers using debit cards. She just couldn't stop asking how much I was going to save. I wanted to tell her to stfu.

it was manageable when we just picked out stuff for the 4 kids and they just tried it on. but just recently the 2 girls started picking out their own clothing but bff hasn't set some ground rules like it needs to have a clearance sticker or at least be on sale. when i grew up i always knew to head straight for the clearance rack. so they pick out something and then bff has to think and then debate and argue w/ them and me whether she will pay for it. and ask me if i have coupons. and then they start looking for reinforcements, alternatives, etc and i get sucked into it. it gets really bad when literally the 3 of them are all talking to me at the same time.

i think i need to formally teach them how to shop b/c bff is just letting them overwhelm her and then sometimes she gets mad afterwards. i actually have offered to take them shopping one at a time for one on one time, but for some reason, they don't want to go w/ me. my nephew didn't want to either when he was their age. maybe b/c i don't buy stuff for them when they whine Teehee.

the really bad part was when we were heading to the registers and they turned to me and asked me to buy them a bop it and a nerf gun for their bday next wk b/c their mother wouldn't buy them. then the begging, pleading and negotiating started in stereo. one of them said she would pay me back....somehow. the other said she had money at home and would give it to me. all this begging and trying to negotiate in front of their mother. as if i would buy it when their own mother wouldn't....NOT!

ok, funny thing is i have a bop-it in the gift closet but since they are twins it's very difficult to satisfy one and not the other. actually had a discussion about it w/ the older one b4 we left the house. how you cannot have one happy and one unhappy, so they either compromise or they both end up w/ something they aren't crazy about.

Our upright freezer is a smaller one...maybe 4 - 4.5 ft tall, but hell it was free so we gave it a loving home. I'm scouring CL to see if I can find a larger size on the cheap. Evil

I was actually surprised at the amount of open space I had in the fridge freezer and upright after I got done rearranging. I'd have even more if I took some things out of boxes. Scratchhead

OK, I'm caught up after taking the weekend off SD to spend time with the inlaws. Hi, guys! Big Grin

I just have to say that it drives me crazy when kids do not take "no" for an answer and leave it at that. For my house, if mommy or daddy (or any adult, for that matter!) says "no", that is the end of the story. No arguing, no wheedling, no whining, no negotiation. At some point, kids have to learn to respect the authority of those older than them, and learn that they don't get everything they want. When they get older, and begin forging adult relationships, that type of behavior will have no place, so its better to train it out of them (or never allow it in the first place) when they're young.

I have to say, slowtech, you are going far beyond what I would ever put up with in these different relationships. laugh out loud Kudos and hugs to you!!!

Trying to get myself back in the couponing game, after not having time or energy to expend on it for the last month or so. I did one haphazard run at HT today for the last day of SD. Ended up spending 3x.xx!! Faint But that included 2 pkgs of diapers and milk and tortilla chips. Still a lot of money.

I have ECBs for CVS to spend, and Ups for RA. Any must-haves for either store that I should know about? I know about the free baby wipes at CVS, and the EOS lip balm, cadbury egg, jelly beans.

Rotisserie chicken and a cheesy rice bake, and baby carrots for dinner. Easy-peasy, so mommy can get her brain back in the game!

What's stoppin' ya?
Me too. But now I have to go check the Hy-Vee thread. And KMart,

KMart is doubling coupons again this week. There is no minimum purchase and no limit on how many coupons you can use. Are you excited yet? -- I can fix that. Coupons up to $0.99. Bastards.

And speaking of KMart. I was in there yesterday to check the Maalox price and hubby was getting oil and a filter. The manager spotted me and came over. She told me she had seen Extreme Couponers last night and asked me if I qualified as one. I told her nope and we really HATE those people. We went on just chatting about it. Told her I had never bought 500 toothbrushes at once and I had less problems with huge amounts if the store special orders it, etc. She said she was amazed and impressed with how little they spent. And that she really should look a little closer at using coupons, just not on that scale. Chatty chat chat. She always been pretty good about coupons. My husband felt the need to tell her about his favorite coupon ever -- Spam Singles.:lmao: That one made them free and that was a week that I got a bunch of papers. Too bad I didn't know about buying coupons then!

I do not want to drive to Target but I just can't think of any other way to do the frozen food. I think I will hit deals to see what's new. I think everything I did last time is done. Print some coupons -- as soon as I find out what to print. And then see if Mom wants to go later. Otherwise, I must go Thursday.

Oh, yeah, is the Finish Quantum still on sale? I had a lot of coupons so I didn't print the IP MQs. Thought if they were still available, I'd print them for Mom to use and get her stocked up.
I enjoyed reading this, IDK why but it did - might be the drugs.

morning! i am present and accounted for.

worked on the deal wiki yesterday but i did not abandon you. does that count for anything?:angel_not
:D

not doing deals around bff anymore. she makes me confuzzled. she wants to do the deals but is always so unprepared, doesn't pay attention, needs so much hand-holding and can't keep her kids in line while we shop. wants me to go w/ her around the store and help her w/ the deals and tell her if something is a good deal or not. in the past i have abandoned my own shopping and just go a different day. always end up doing the same w/ my sil and mil b/c they keep asking me my opinion and always have to look for stuff for them. just cannot focus on my own shopping.

but yesterday i was going for 90% off valentines that i had already checked out at 75% off on sunday when i went for purple dollar spot (that was INF, those sonofaguns!). thought i would grab my stuff and then go off on my own to the target greatland w/ expanded grocery b/c bff never wants to go far from home.

we were already 2 hrs later than originally planned, we were supposed to leave at 11:30, called at 12:30 when i still hadn't heard from her, she hadn't even started printing her q's yet so went to her house and printed a bunch for her and then google chrome crashed and she was running low on ink. and then she had the audacity to ask me why i didn't print the finish coupons for her when we were at the store:rolleyes:. she'd told me she thought she had the circular ones clipped and filed! and i'd told her about the target deal last sunday when we were at the supermarket. she had a wk to prepare.

right from the beginning bff caved and started shopping for her 2 dd's. and they were both demanding i help them shop for socks. yeah, nowadays i've been helping all 3 to shop whenever there is girls clothing around. afterwards i am always :insane:. they all know i have good taste and can find deals, so if i can find a good deal for them their mother will buy it. one of them will literally pull me around the store to look at stuff and then their mother will debate w/ me if she should buy this that or the other. i escaped from justice last time by taking her 2 ds' w/ me to do my own shopping b/c they were opening the candy and she had to buy it when she has her own store w/ the exact same candy.

so i had both dd's yammering at me cuz i found 3pks of girls c9 socks on clearance for them. i couldn't even tell you how much they were, i was just focusing on getting them the right size, figuring out which of the 2 styles they preferred and how many socks they needed while they both talked to me at the same time.

i'd prefer to do their shopping last after seeing how they've behaved in the store but i know she does it to shut them up and then lets them go off to the toy section which i still think they are too young to do. just couple months ago they got anxious when they couldn't find her and ended up having an employee page her. but it's difficult to tell people what to do w/ their own kids. i don't even let them go off in the library when i take them by myself except to the bathroom. they have to be near me at all times.

anyway after breaking away from her several times to get my stuff (one time she asked me where i'd disappeared to. seriously, i'm not your personal shopper and walk you around the store showing you all the deals.) she was done and wanted to leave but i wanted to check on the bertolli sauce. didn't realize it wasn't on tpc at my store cuz by then i was  even though i'd told her it was supposed to be on tpc and she'd grabbed her 2 jars. after paying i realized they were 2.29 each when it was supposed to be 1.8x. so i asked her and she just bought them b/c w/ the mq and tq it was like bogo for her and she doesn't care so much about price. since she had gotten them, i just got them w/o checking.

but if i'd realized they were not on tpc, i wouldn't have bought them since i was going straight to another target. where they were 1.92 ! i even had my little post it strips w/ the deal on the coupons and i didn't double check, sigh! it did cross my mind to return/rebuy but i feel bad they would throw it out.

guess it was a lesson learned that i cannot let other people distract me and i should have gone w/ my first instinct to just do clearance and do deals another time. i know it wasn't much money, but i go shopping w/ her all the time and i can't have helping her do the deals make me all wacko and screw up my own deals.

sorry, i ranted over .74! i guess b/c i know i'm headed into more of the same tomorrow. will be staying over at sil's second home wed-fri which means going to superwalmart every day :vomit: and hand holding sil and mil through their shopping at hellmart, target, bj's....ugh!!! sil seriously acts just like bff in the store, should i buy this, is it a good price, blah, blah, blah. the difference is sometimes bff doesn't listen to me and then a wk or 2 later says she should have bought it. i tell sil i think its too expensive, she says she doesn't care, she'll pay full price b/c she doesn't have time to shop around and then complains the rest of the time that her dh doesn't have a job and she doesn't have money to spend. and oh yeah, have to be very careful when shopping around mil. she always wants to buy whatever i even look at and always wants to order whatever i order in restaurants. but then it's bad when she doesn't like it!
I did NOT enjoy reading this, IdoK why. It really bothers me when people that others for granted and are SO self-involved that there is no one or anything else - It is kinda sad too but mostly angers me.

I rearranged my little 3.5 cu ft chest freezer that is in the pantry on Monday, I made a ton of room - not even taking anything out of the box. Then told DH we would be having a frozen food hodge podge buffet for dinner tonight and took him out to the shed to the large chest freezer and dug out TGIF sliders x2, Onion rings x2, mozzstix, wings x2, some oreida Tater tots, corn dogs and MP chicken bites. I now have enough room for a whole other shopping trip just from one dinner. I still have 2 turkeys in my freezers and pulled one out last week for dinner on Saturday. I guess if the mood strikes I could go fill up my in laws freezers too. FIL loves those Banquet pies and those are break even items w/out Qs.

Anyone have info on this Q? Pray it is friendly.

I should be taking the Bar Exam right now. After getting down here and situated w/ studying, I discovered that there are MANY differences between Florida law and Michigan Law(I learned in school), so without taking a FL prep course, I would never pass the test. Luckily, my test fees roll over and I can take it in July.
Pray with you about that Q!!! I need wipes, like a lot! laugh out loud

I am glad you were able to postpone your bar exam! Very smart move!!! nod

We are having leftovers from last night for tonight, so super easy laugh out loud WE had Bacon Cheeseburger Macaroni (mac and cheese with hamburger and bacon added) and its sooo yummy! nod

Nice! Well, the diapers at HT ended up being 5.99/pkg for me, so it probably won't be worth it to return them. However, I will definitely check on my qs for Huggies. I used to get mailers for them but I haven't gotten one in a while. Guess they figure my 2yo should be potty-trained by now... shake head

I haven't done it yet, but I saw on SS that a $1/1 any wipes prints off at the coupon kiosk (in-store). You then use it on the CVS brand of wipes that are .99. I am assuming they are travel size. No big deal for me, because I always need small pkgs of wipes for the van. I only have one CVS card, but I am assuming you can do this with as many cards as you have.

I am a major CVS noob/novice, so if someone else has more details please do share.

Bah. Who needs frozen food anyways.

I know what Santa does when he's not working at the North Pole.

Yeah. That's right.

He brings me packages and leaves them at the front door.

No frozen food deal here, we never get the good stuff. It's just as well, or I'd really have to clean out my freezers, and that's a pain. I'd gladly do it though if we had the deal!

No Finish 10-packs, no good V-day clearance, no $1/1 Kraft peelies so I can get cheap shreds, lots of Wisk but no $2 MQs. Only thing I got was 4 pairs of Mossimo jeans that are so small I can't imagine anyone fitting into. LMAO Oh, I also got a fireplace rack for $3.74, always good to have an extra. I totally forgot to look at the men's jeans for DH, maybe I'll try to drag him to our other T tonight.
