I was up til like 3 am. This is the one day the kids have actually slept in and now I have to go wake them up and run around like a mad woman because we must leave in 15 minutes.

Hellooooooooo morning.

It's cold out today!

Wave Hope ya'll have a good one.
Ank, I wanted to tell you...your coupon request last week. I did not have the specific ones you were looking for. My coupons were different cents off, let me know if you are still looking. I didn't forget about you, I just forgot to tell you...laugh out loud

I have so much to do today and so lazy. lol

Gotta clean house, go grocery shopping, drop some papers off at the dr office, get the oil and transmission fluid changed in the kidmobile. Pack our bags for our weekend excursion.

Cleaning the house will be the time consuming task. Thinking about sending DH with the girls to get the oil changed so I can be alone and clean. Goes MUCH faster that way.
Where are you guys going this weekend? You know I have to live vicariously through you!

Good Morning Everyone!!

A friend of ours was deployed overseas and we are sending him out a care packages. It will cost $12.95 per package to send it to him. Weight limit of 20 pounds. We want to make the packages as worth while as possible. Does anyone have any ideas of what's MOST needed and wanted?

We are sending out 3 packages total..but we are dividing the cost between 6 people (he works where DH works, so everyone is chipping in). We are providing the items, others are paying for the shipping. I will be the one packing up the boxes.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
My son's teacher has a child that is deployed. The class sent him a care package and his favorites were.. gum to give to the children over there, lotion so his hands wouldn't be so achy because they were sore and dry, and beef jerky. HTH

Yep, baby wipes are nice for them. I wouldn't send anything with a short expiration date or chocolate. Gum, tootsie rolls, lemon drops, cinnamon hard candy, tic tac's, popcorn single packs, lifesavers, razor, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb..etc

In the boxes I put together a couple weeks ago, the most-wanted list included zip-loc bags, note cards, phone cards, feminine hygiene products, vitamins, OTC meds, peanut butter, and anything trial size. Tea bags, coffee, hot chocolate, anything they can add hot water to and eat/drink. Reading material, including magazines, novels, Bibles, books, whatever, anything like that. Candy of any kind except chocolate. Cookies. Trail mix, beef jerky, crackers, chips, chex mix. Condiments.

All of these things, I am quite sure you have tons of. You will probably find you have way more than will fit in the boxes. Big Grin

Bunnies Razors, out of package, ( for weight issues ) shampoo, the rest are all good ideas, no chocolate it melts in transport ,shaving cream is not allowed as it can explode.
If in war combat zone silly string it will keep him safe. PM for details if wanted on that. Maybe a pack of cards . . , some of those Hasboro free ones ?

Morning, everyone! Home from the morning school run and now I must get the house picked up, coupons clipped, dinner in the crockpot, keep my two little ones occupied, and then get back out the door in about an hour. Think I can do it?!? Big Grin

Does anyone happen to have extras of the Theraflu MIR forms that were in the inserts a week or so ago? I only got one, but would like to help my family get theirs, as well... Thanks for any help!

I have to say - I'm not normally a fan of Target's infant/toddler shoes, mainly because they don't last very long for my kids. But I got my youngest the black ballet flats with the little strap, and they are the cutest things. She is wearing them with jeans right now and it is just too cute. Or maybe she is just too cute. Confused laugh out loud

OK, time to stop stalling and get busy doing my stuff!

Oh, one last thing - can anyone recommend a good label making machine or whatever the heck they're called? I need one, but want to get the best deal on it.

i believe it was tm4d that posted when you sign up as *valued customer* you get the $2mq if you click back or some such and then they email you the link for the $1mq. existing members only get the 1.00q which is me.

i make dh go get the q's if he wants *extras*. so i told him all of the above except i forgot to tell him his name is really valued customer. yesterday he was able to get 2-2.00q's and 2-1.00q's each from 2 new accts, so 4 total of each.

i understand my supermarket has .99 pints this wk so free ice cream that dh has been buggin' for the last few wks. and their limit is 4 like q's so perfect.
nod

Yup, just logout, create a new account (can be the same computer), then go back to the link for the coupon: https://www.bluebunny.com/iScream...uponId=746

I was just thinking what a change Gator and her family have been thru in such a short span of time. Snow X feet deep to that pic out her back yard. Always bundling up to go outside, to T-shirts and shorts.
I know! We are really fortunate. I checked the weather for Michigan yesterday and it was 3 degrees. OMG Here, it was at least 80. Love it...although my boys HATE sunscreen.

Missed you setsail.
Lots of free jeans with TQ and frozen food for the lucky ones that got the GC deal.
I was just about to ask where you were... welcome back. Also, where's Tootsie? Hope you're doing well too! Wave

I am from Michigan. Where are you going in MI? The stores in Lansing, Okemos, Ann Arbor, Brighton, Novi, Jackson, Ypsilanti, Farmington and Livonia are really friendly from personal experience Coverlaugh

Where are you off to? Also, I am guessing the T stores in MO are friendly?

Are you in that big of a rush to get to T, that you don't have time to finish curling your hair? Dontknow
Well, yes, I usually am. But I figure that's what pony tailers and hair clips are for.

GT, I thought about taking stuff out of packaging.....trouble is I think that'd drive my brain crazy even with writing on it. But I'm still considering it.
Take them out of the boxes. Cut the picture and name off the box and tape it to the meal. No box, it's still flatter and takes up less space, but you get the effect of the box.
Quote from slowtech :
omg, you used to be a *people of walmart*. Blink
Not quite. You can only be a "person of Wal-Mart" if you have your pajamas on while walking your monkey or goat through the store. Don't have a monkey or a goat? An iguana or very large bird will suffice.

Just popping in to catch up and say howdy. I don't really have anything worthwhile to contribute. Hmmm, not much different than any other day, I guess. I almost glad I live so far from Target otherwise I would be so tempted to go get more of the Blue Bunny cones and pot pies if they got anymore in. I don't really have the freezer space but more to the point, we don't need them.

I'm wondering if all of the BB coupons are identical other than the person's name and member number. I am thinking that is the case. If we can verify that they are, I can ... well, you know what I can do.

GT, your post reminds me of this...

'Like a llama or and emu'

And all those fancy dijon ketchups!

laugh out loud

Supposed to get snow this afternoon/evening. I was planning on heading to the store when Mini Thrift got home from school so she could keep an eye on Spider monkey. Still trying to decide. She doesn't have school tomorrow, so I'm outta here at naptime Whee
