Stopped by a gas station on my way to ST. Was looking for Vitamin Water q's but found some 50c Ben and Jerry's. Whee

Even though I miscounted my 5th set of 7 frozen I still had a STC run. Woot

What a long day. My toddler woke up at 4:30 this morning.. which in itself isn't anything new, but she would not go back to sleep. I left at 7:30 to take the kids and run errands and she was still awake. She finally crashed on the couch about 1:30 this afternoon. I crawled into the bed and took a 2 hour nap.. It was wonderful. Then DH watched her while I soaked in a very hot bath for 45 minutes.. Felt like a new woman laugh out loud

Tomorrow is my DH birthday.. He likes birthday cake okay, but he really likes lemon pie, so I am thinking of making a birthday pie rather than a cake.

haven't shopped in a couple of days. May go tomorrow right after my doctors appointment. I have a long overdue checkup at the gyn.. gotta love those Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Guess I have put it off long enough and need to just get it done..

Just use the same blend as I do when I make large batches of croutons.

My DH loves pies too... and I make pies for his BD most years. This year I'm thinking of making a coconut cheesecake though.

Uuuugggggghhhh. Woke up at 4 AM to dh snoring like a Mack truck. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Laid there forever, couldn't get back to sleep, just decided I'd get up. Guess I'll get an early start to my day.

DH will be 30 in April. I think he is getting a surprise party and a cake covered in black-something....either frosting (found on clearance after Halloween Evil) or fondant if I can get black to turn out right. His favorite color is black...and he's over the first hill Teehee

We dodged snow here. We only got about Tr-1", areas south of here a country or two got 4-5". Phew. That means I can go shopping today if I want to laugh out loud

Thanks to those who shared info on a label maker! I opted for Staples, because Office Max is not local here. I'm stoked! Now I can fill all those little spice containers and make snazzy little labels so I don't mistake my curry powder for my cumin. vomit Big Grin

<------ PMSing. Not happy. I think I will do one last Frzn foods GC run at T but I need to decide which on to go to. My fave store has had enough of me for this week, and isnt giving out the bag too. I have figured out that 4 folded bags fit nicely inside a fourth bag and I have 7 bags and would like 3 more so they are all stored nice and pretty. The closest store has given me 3 bags on each of my 2 trips and are getting low on jeans. And I haven't been to the fartherest away STs in a while. decisions decisions.

How does a good SDer run out of ink? It's not like we don't know that we MUST have it to print Qs. I always stock up when HP ink is on sale at Target (the Buy One, Get One Half Price) or I buy it with my Staples rewards when I recycle the cartridges. I may have bought 20 black and 7-10 color when that sale was on last summer. Yes, I know it's expensive, but at the rate some folks go thru ink, you'd think that we'd always keep 5 of so fresh refills at the house.

I've read 10+ posts this week of folks that are lamenting about not having ink.

I spent an extra hour at work one night this week, picking up banner pages from the printers and I brought home a stack of over 2 1/2 inches. A banner page announces who owns the printout behind it. 95% of folks just throw it in the trash, but it makes wonderful Q printing paper.

Not to defend the ink runner outer's but I have run out of ink a couple of times. Not because of bad planning, but because funding just wasn't there.

Yeah I'm with ya on that Bunnies....I put off buying ink because we don't have the funds and there's just so much other stuff I have to allocate money to. Then when I put it off long enough I end up forgetting about it! In fact, need to probably get a cartridge ordered today from Amazon. Sometimes it catches me off guard too.....for instance I have printed a TON of stuff the last couple weeks with this frozen stuff deal and just a lot of good new IP's and everything --- more than usual!

Mine usually gets a peach pie. We have a rental house across the state with a couple small peach trees. So, if I was around to get those when they were ready I would hoard them in the freezer and use them for his bday pie. Blue Bunny currently has a special flavor -- Double Peach. Apparently it's quite delicious. I don't care much for peach and tried a couple bites and thought it was good. DH and Mom loved it. I thought it would be perfect with peach cobbler or pie. It's light and creamy with peach chunks not heavy and fakey.

When you are done with that, come over and do something with my spices. I have been trying to figure out what to do with them. I HATE crap on the kitchen counter, so absolutely no spice rack that sits out. I have mostly the little Tones. Not a huge variety of spices but multiples of them. I generally keep baking spices with the baking stuff and cooking spices in the cupboard by the stove. They are currently in little plastic boxes stacked two high with two layers of spices per box. I suppose I could use a drawer but I kind of like how my drawers are arranged and that would require moving crap. And I don't want some huge bulky thing up in the cabinets. Not a darn thing planned to for today. I can think of some things I should do... Primarily, working on cleaning and organizing the basement so we can start working down there. (Yes, I'm still whining about it and not doing it) This would be a good time to start. Mom is here, it always makes things go faster when you have somebody to talk to. (Not to mention I can put her to work..)

Going to make another Target run on Monday. I have to go that direction and it's not much out of my way to stop. Maybe there will be something good in the new ad! Otherwise - Up & Up pantie liners and ibuprofen top the list.

ETA: I think I have decided what to do with the spice mess. I think I'm going to put strips of self adhesive Velco or magnets on the inside of the cupboard door and cut small pieces and stick on the spice jars. It's probably going to be Velco because I think that somewhere in this house I actually have a roll of it and I think it will stick better. The peel and stick magnet rolls are kind of cheap and don't always have a lot of magnetism. Hmmm, if I could find them, I could get a bunch of individual magnets rather than the roll and attach a piece of metal to the door, covering most of the inside of it. A cheap cookie sheet, maybe? Or if I go through some of our building materials, etc., I may have some sheet metal.
