Okay, so got home so late that dinner wasn't exactly what I planned.. I was planning to make DH some fried chicken, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, green beans, etc.. But, we got home late, and he was still full from lunch. By the time I started with dinner, I discovered the chicken that I thought I had was actually a bag of chicken wings laugh out loud

Dh said he didn't care what we had cause he had a nice steak dinner at lunch, so we hit the freezer and made dinner from the bounty of the target GC deal.. We had frozen MP pizza, TGI appetizers, Stouffers mac n cheese, etc.. The kids loved it, and DH seemed content.

Then, I had made him a lemon pie, and my toddler was determined it wasn't a birthday if she couldn't "sprinkle" him a cake.. so, I let her put some valentine sprinkles on the pie. I also made a layered ice cream cake.. Bottom layer was ice cream sandwiches, then a layer of vanilla ice cream, then crushed butterfinger, then coolwhip, then hot fudge drizzled on top and covered with oreo sprinkles and small bits of snickers bars drool They all loved it.. I can't attest to the taste cause I had a SF fudge bar.. But, it was good too, so I am not complaining Smilie


Best part of my doctors visit was I rummaged through the baby magazines and found 3 amazon cards.. I assumed they were all the same.. Didn't notice until tonight that they were 3 different ones.. So, I was just able to order my SIL her first box of diapers for the new baby to come bounce

Yes, the lappy had Vista in it but I have NO disces and Bunnies was nice enough to send me her XP disc - which i found out while en route that I needed Vista but tried to load in the XP anyway but it is not working. :rant:

So if I bought a new lappy w/ vista I couldn't use that disc in the old one too?

DH's bday was nice. Had friends over, ate, drank, ate cheesecake. Good night. Big Grin

Had to run to T yesterday for a couple of little things and had the bestest ever cashier. She was awesome. She did tell me about another lady who went from $6X.XX down to .65. I guess that's where all the quantum and the pain reliever went to. But I suppose that's the case of "snooze you loose". They had a ton of jeans so I got a couple of pairs to see if they will fit. We'll see...

Vista has gone bye bye. I don't think you will find a new lappy with Vista.

Bite the bullet and get you a new one with Win 7. You will love it!

Morning.

Sadwalk My niece's second season of college BB is over. I watched online yesterday. They led by 13 in the 1st half, had a train wreck Covereyes of a 2nd half and got beat by 16. I'm happy I made three trips to see her play, but wish I could just live in Spartanburg during the season and never miss a game.

I wonder what the ad will hold for next week. I was in the freezer bag promo area versus GC area.

I was freezer bag too Mad DH managed to get 6 bags this week. Not even sure what I am going to do with them?

Next week...don't know...do you think they will make it up to us? Probably not...

Morning peeps!

Hopefully I can make a quick Target run today. I can not find the oral pain TQ Frown any body help a sista out? Is is one that expires today? I hope not, we could really use some. I didn't realize I had given away all my Mortin I got from Wags last year until a few days ago when I organized my med cabinet. I only have one less than half full bottle.

Comfort That sucks. it happened to me in Jan, so sick I lost my voice. It seems like I get sick one a year bad enough to lose my voice, nothing but air and a few squeeks come out. Hope you feel better soon.

Okay, DH said if the disc you were sent is a true XP install disc than you should be able to install it on the old laptop, but you need to boot the computer to that disc.. When you put the disc in, power computer on, and it should ask you if you want to boot from CD hit any key.. he says if it doesn't give you that option than your bios isn't set to boot from CD and it will be a little more complicated..

Okay, that made no sense to me laugh out loud but I was typing what he said Wink

He said new laptops don't come with true install discs.. they come with restore discs specific to that particular machine that will have all the drivers, etc.. needed for that computer.. so, if you get a new one with XP, W7, whatever, you can't just use that disc and pop it into another computer and make it work.

HTH! My DH knows alot about computers, and people call him all the time.. but, I am not computer smart at all.. when I have computer problems, if I can't get DH at work on the phone to help me, I get my kids.. the boys know much more than I do LMAO

I ended up with 4 bags, too, even though I started off the week "swearing" I wasn't going to go because of the injustice of not getting the gc. But resistance was futile.....

I was shocked at the number of people I saw checking out with frozen food and NOT getting the bags. It makes me a little crazy when I see people pay full price for stuff that I know there are easy coupons for, but this was FREE and sitting right there and they still didn't take it. The cashiers weren't "offering" them, but come on, you could barely see in the frozen coolers because of all the signs up and they still didn't take a bag! Crazy I tell you!

Ya so weird they wouldn't grab one, I mean ya they are not that cool and pretty cheaply made but just the fact that they will keep your frozen food cold (not that it is hot outside, lol) on the way home. I did like that bag for that reason, and I knew which bags I wanted to take in first and unload.

I don't understand non coupon people. I would have to have millions to not care about using coupons and on top of that be so busy that I did not have time to do it, like traveling the world or something.
