This is a list that has been passed around SD for a while. I had lost it and Rach put it back up for me! heart I am using it as a good estimate for what I should order for the new little one:
  • Newborn: 2-3 packs
  • Size 1: 600-700
  • Size 2: 630-756
  • Size 3: 1260-1368
  • Size 4: 1085-1178
  • Size 5: 1350
  • Size 6: PRN
  • Wipes: a lot

my boys are both in size 5. my older guy has been in them for 2 years and my little guy for about a year. crazy. i could've probably left them in size 4 longer but i ran out of that size in my stockpile. i recommend stocking up on size 3.

so has anyone performed an update on their wii? I have some questions.

Rachel, those clothes are so freaking CUTE! I didn't know you could buy those with the codes. If you need a few more 10's to complete the ensemble let me know. lol Oh, and she is so freaking cute. I wanna smooch her up.

So, hypothetically speaking, if you had some spare boxes of diapers laying around. Oh, I don't know, like a few boxes of pampers size 4 128 count, what would you maybe sell them for? Evil

$25 is what I used to sell them for. Diapers go like hot cakes on CL.

When I had JJ nearly all of the other mom's in the 2009 lounge baby thread used a minimum of 8 packs of NB jumbo (approx 40 dipes/pk). We used 12 NB jumbo packs. Birth size was anywhere from 6#9oz (my peanut) to over 8 nearly 9#s for those babehs. I know this is a moot point for Lisa since Trevor is already here, but for other expecting moms. Dontknow

Also, on wipes it should state a BUTTLOAD! laugh out loud

Oh and since there is a printable Advil MQ for $2 and a $1 TQ it is also a good time to stock up on the 4oz bottles of children's suspension liquid. The MQ beeps but has not been a problem getting a K1. $1.49 ACs.

g'morning!

believe me, old is better. these days appliances are really lucky if they last 10 yrs. bff's 700 dollarish microwave just died and it was only 3 yrs old. her dh looked into fixing the microwave and the part costs as much as a new one. her sister just replaced her 10ish yr old washer that she's already repaired twice and not so happy w/ the new one. says it's not built to last. bff was so happy i talked her into just replacing her washer instead of repairing. these days just not worth it. new appliances are so expensive these days and just don't last.
I know you are right! The new ones are so pretty though.... Deep sigh... I still have and use my old Ammana Radar Oven/microwave from Xmas 1977. It's big, it's clunky, it's unsitely! But it works and I have so many memories attached to it. Sterlized DD baby bottles in it in 78/79 after the bottle sterlizer shorted out and literally threw me across the kitchen when it shocked me. Made 100's of batches of microwave fudge for all the kids various bake sales from K through 12 (always sold out minutes after it hit the tables and took orders for countless pounds more.) Made the syrup for Halloween popcorn balls every year... the list just goes on and on. The Mr. is ALWAYS trying to talk me into getting rid of it, but I just can't. Silly, I know, but what can I say?

Good Morning, Ladies! First and foremost, thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your prayers! hug to all of you! Now off to read back through TCC to see what I've missed the last couple of days...
Wave Oh I am so glad to see you back!! How are you doing, did surgery go well?? Thanks for pointing out in deals about the girls hats/mittens 75% off. Got one of each for my niece who is dropped off at my house on many a cold, cold day w/o one or the other Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

If you think it's a grease clog, try 2 Tbs of liquid dish detergent and follow that up with a stock pot of boiling water. ...*snip*.... most dryer fires are caused by the build up left behind from the sheets.
OT, but I wish the old Maytag would die cause I really, really, really, did I mention really want a new Bravos! You would think after 20 years the darn thing would give up the ghost, but, Oh NO!!! I think it keeps on running just to spite me...shake head
20 years?! EEK! They can go that long?! laugh out loud Wow.

Will write that one down to. Seem to always have lots of dish soap on hand Smilie

So....is it typical for most kids to wear 4-5 for quite awhile? Geesh dd got to a 3. We bought a couple packs of 4 when she was just wearing them overnight for a bit, more for absorbency and the sheer fact that a pack lasted so long @ 1 per day that I feared she'd outgrow them all of a sudden and we'd be out the money if we got 3's. I didn't REALLY heavily start using q's until after she was born so I stockpiled some dipes but not nearly that many. And I only went up to like a 2-3. In fact I recall those special size 2-3 Pampers swaddlers fitting her pretty late in the game. We had some of those in our stockpile. If I ever have another one I'd just hate to buy 4's and 5's and have 'em go to waste.......hmmmmm.

DD was 6 lbs. 5 oz. and was under 6lbs. by the time we brought her home....we ended up using a few packs of preemie dipes then went to newborn, where we probably used 10 or so packs too. She is just an odd-shaped kid I guess LMAO

When I had kids, I was under the impression that sz 1 is for 1 yr olds, 2 for 2 yr olds and so on..Always wondered why you need sz 5 and sz 6...laugh out loud Understood about the different sizing when DS started leaking from his NB diapers...

A $700 microwave. EEK! To be worth $700 that thing would need to decide what to cook, get it out, cook it, and do the dishes. Every day.

Sort of a cross between a popsicle and an ice cream bar. Chocolate fudge flavored. It's not just ice like a Popsicle but it's not exactly ice cream either.

TM4D -- re drain problems -- Is it plugging up in the washer drain before it gets to your main drain? If it's plugging up midway in your pipes there's a good chance your toilets aren't helping matters. They have made all the newer toilets to be low flow and conserve water. They simple don't have enough water to push them, umm, stuff all the way through your house pipe, across the yard, and out into the main city sewer. So it lays there midway and stuff sinks. Then water just washes over it and more stuff sinks. When you flush anything other than just that one little piece of toilet paper, flush at least twice. If you are flushing a lot, flush a third time. Get it out of your pipes and out into the sewer.

We replaced our 1964 with a newer one simply because the old one was a hideous beigey pink color. (and pink is my favorite color -- this was awful) Then when we hated the new one, the intention was to put it in the basement bathroom (we don't use it much) and buy an old used toilet (yes, seriously) to put upstairs. The without even giving it a thought we put the carpet in the bathroom and it's cut around the base of the toilet that I hate and switching it out will show. Damn it.

chocolate flavored popsicle. satisfies the chocolate craving but less calories and fat than chocolate ice cream. however you have to have the right mind set to accept them b/c if you are looking for the creaminess and mouth feel of ice cream, you will not be satisfied. they are way more icy/watery. kids may be less finicky as long as it's chocolate flavored and sweet. adults may be more finicky esp if they are on a diet and looking for substitutes instead of compromises. bottom line, takes getting used to if you are used to eating ice cream.
