I hope the US doesn't get a tsunami, so that ZM will have to change the tidal of this thread.

One pun only due to the seriousness of this event.

Any known damage? Or was it a "non-event" for Guam?

Pretty sure it was a "non event" on Guam. The local paper only reported that the warning was lifted - no reports of any kind.

Since we are only concerned about free stuff and good deals on SD - Will you get a rain check for the dinner?

j/k glad you are safe. Hoping everyone else to the west of NC will be safe as well.

wave Dawn!

I thought my travel experiences were interesting with kidnappings and shootings in airports and evacuation due to floods, but I never experienced an evacuation due to a tsunami.

MLV I'm glad to hear that there was no damage where you are and that you're safe. I still haven't been able to determine whether Hawaii got hit or not...

Not that I've ever been unhappy to see you post. Just especially happy to see it now. Keep it up.
All loungers affected by this tradgey, please keep us posted. We loungers worry about our friends.
Awww....laugh out loud hug We're good. I think we were the last ones to leave our street. It was weird. First the civil defense sirens going off. Then some vehicle with a loudspeaker going around telling people to evacuate. Funny thing was I couldn't hear the loudspeaker from inside the house. I was getting a little nervous because it was 2:01 am when we left because we were busy honing our cat herding skills. But they hadn't closed off the roads yet. Whew! laugh out loud
We're safe up on the base now. My pup is very excited. The cats...not so much. Mad

laugh out loud Hey! I know, right? My dear friend had family flying over tonight. Four hours into the flight they diverted the plane back to LAX. Later I heard they were letting other flights through. Weird. Can you imagine??
