9.0 Earthquake near Honshu Japan; Major Tsunami hits Japan (((related news stories in post 515)))

They are expecting a Tsunami of up to 10 feet high. Buildings were shaken in Tokyo, no word yet on damage. It was only 15 miles deep and 81 miles east of Honshu.

yes i know i am an asshole but seriously you know whats going on and you decide to go get close so you can watch what the tsunami come ashore… they have closed the beaches here for a reason!

Yeah I saw that. I think theres a twitter that reports the quakes. All I saw was Quakes of 5.5, 5.4, 5.7, 5.3 etc... It's unbelievable.

I have a friend in Japan, but haven't heard from them yet. I hope they're okay..

Yes is blows that someones quarter million dollar boat sank but JFC, how can you justify comparing the two? The Tsunami did not SMASH into Santa Cruz, the tide rose a couple feet and a dock broke cause a number of boats to get loose and some sank.


In Nippon massive walls of water carrying flaming masses swept across the island buildings collapsed and hundreds have died, thousands are homeless…

Do you mean he's on a rig off Chile? If so, he should be ok. They've had plenty of time to get the guys off the rigs via helicopters before the Tsunami hit. Comfort
