Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

I lost the toenail on one of my big toes a long time ago. Yes, they do grow back. First, a thin, protective layer forms, then little by little a new nail grows. Take the rubberband off, and get the toenail off though!

That would be me too! I'm kinda' afraid of guns myself.....around here that puts me in the minority!
I have to rip it the rest of the way off first. It gonna hurt!!! I put the rubber band on there with a steri-pad to help stop the bleeding and to keep the bllod off the floor. Not too much luck on the second part. Hope I never disapear because theres a trail through the house to the bathtub!!! LMAO The bleeding has stopped but I might need help from my sister to rip it the rest of the way off. I was thinking the other day how often my toe slides under the door to my computer and how much it hurts when it does that.

I think I would try to get that taken care of in the morning and let the doctor remove it and go lay down and elevate your foot to help with it from bleeding.
At the computer you are taking a chance of sliding it under the door again.

cut it off to where ever it is torn
don't rip it off bad idea

you don't want to do more damage
and it will bleed again
trim it as close as possible and bandage it

Ive move to the recliner but I gotta mess to clean up and I still have to set up my wireless printer so I can print my sisters taxes and mine. Its been a while since Ive done this kind of thing. Used to be real accident prone as a kid. Still not as bad as when I impaled my foot on the sappling stump and had to saw the tree in order to go to the hospital to have them remove it. I do try to be so careful but stuff just reaches out and grabs me!!! I did win $200 on scratch off tickets!! So.... good luck...bad luck... as usual!! Big Grin

Does anyone know if you can grow the toenail back on your big toe???My toe went under the file cabinet but my toenail didnt!!! It was tsicking straight up squirting blood all over the place. I had to take a deep breath and mash it back down into place and put a ruberband on it to keep it in place. It throbs a little but it doesnt hurt for some reason.

ok if it's just held on by the skin at the back you can yank it off but it will bleed again,
apply pressure and elevate it with an ice pack for 15-20 minutes on and off every 30 minutes or so tonight.
It will heal but keep it covered and maybe some neosporin
The nail will start growing on ht e whole nail bed all at once, but a whole new nail will grow out in about 6 months

I have to drive a friend home will be back in 30

Owie, owie, owie!! You've painted a nasty and painful picture. It was in shock it why it didn't hurt very much. It will though. Definitely go to the doc on that one - don't need getting an infection in there. Wish I could tell you if you'll keep the nail - don't know. I feel for you!

The dogs freaked out and wont come out of their beds!!! They were with my sister when she was filleting catfish after a fishing trip where they caught more beer than fish!!! Sliced her thumb to the bone. Shes never been accident prone so she didnt take it very well. Specially being drunk!! As long as pretend theres nothing wrong they are OK. They are so like children!!!

Thanks. Im sure it will be OK. My sister got her thumb stuck in the safe at work. She grew a new nail under the old one and pushed it off. She said it didnt hurt. I dont know why this doesnt hurt more. The little boo-boos hurt like crazy but when I do it big it doesnt hurt. I didnt think having a baby hurt either. I think it has something to do with endorphines!!
